Can we take a moment and appreciate how beautiful Joan Collins looked in this scene. Her outfit is so elegant and also commanding. Her makeup compliments her features very well. I especially love the eye shadow. And my favorite, her hair. It looks so shiny and healthy.

In season finale where she and Krystle were in the burning cabin (season 3 I believe), they used the fire to explain why she cut her short (but even then they were short-haired wigs)...
Sable and Dominique were my favorite on The Colbys and Dynasty. Alexis and Krystle were not, even though they were on the show first. I loved how Sable and Dominique were able to stand up to Alexis and sometimes beat her at her own game.

This show was such a mess but I will never get over the over the top dramatic performances delivered by Joan Collins, Linda Evans and Diahanne Carroll.
And in the future she'll get a dedicated signature hair style ala wigs and be a cross between Pat Benetar and Cleopatra! And oh yeah.. she'll be like a bad wound that never heals.. lol
This scene is phenomenal. Joan really gives you heart and soul as Alexis, while Linda evans Always have the same meak, boring expression on her face. Alexis was a fiering Vulcano who were real in a reel World even when she scheemed, as where Krystal didn´t come of as anyhting but a woman who belive her own $t didn´t smell. There were nothing that grabbed my attention with Krystal, whereas Alexis did.
It is a soap opera. But in prime time. Dynasty is over the top melodrama, escapist fluff that's fun to look at. It's supposed to be rather outlandish and grandiose, in its acting and style and plots. They were not going for realism, obviously.
I saw the two of them in person when they did the play Legends. Joan was a bitch in real life as well. Linda Evans was the classiest lady as she was on Dynasty. She signed everybody's autograph and took pictures with everyone. She did not stop until she was done. Joan, would not take pictures with anyone and if she signed an autograph she scribbled her name that you could not make out who autographed it. She was such a loser. People were yelling, Joan go back to London.

Krystal was of a more common background and it showed. She was incredibly naive but that was the arc of the character.
