I'm gonna try this set up I like it. Nice badges on your day sack. Bigger channels are too scared to "share" their viewers so never reply for fear everyone will see how it's really done... and see where they steal their ideas from. This time next year you'll be the bigger channel for sure.

Good shelter and demonstration 👍...if you can't find Y sticks just use straight sticks, run a line from the eyelet, tie a clove hitch on the pole which you can move up and down to get the right height, then run it around a peg and secure & tighten with a tautline hitch 😊👍
Great shelter, I am showing a youth group some tarp shelters in a couple of weeks and will try to replicate this one with my basha. I will recommend they take a look at your channel 👍

Nice video.I've used this set up a few times and also with a ridge line set up between 2 trees as an alternative to using the front stakes... its a really good set up Especially as it gives a bit of a ground sheet too.

Mr Tank Sir just want too let you know I successfully set up the first basha set up on this vid! .....so happy!! wasn't as tought as yours but a bit of practice and I will master it. ...so happy. ..would have liked a bit more fold under for a ground sheet but as I say a bit more practice...thanks fella ...hope you are OK? oh I used 2 basha poles at different heights and it worked.....another thought have you considered swapping to a quilt instead of a bag...I'm 6ft2 so find sleeping bags a bit restrictive, thanks for all the knowledge you pass on 👍👍👍
@outsidertank yes Mr Tank I use my rab neutrino that way and that does work as a quilt , oh by the way using two 18" bungees does work as one....can't believe I didn't think of that lol....still need more practice on the tarp tent configuration....but learning all the time !! cheers fella 👍
Tank. First don’t ask how I got my hands on a UK military tarp or the SBS rucksack I “found”. I did use this style when I was in South America and even when I was in South East Africa. You are absolutely proper in saying that this Guiana style is possibly the best setup for a tarp. There may be better but I have not found it yet. In civy street I sometimes add a small controlled fire in the front to cook, heat and keep the bugs away from me. Good on ya mate🤪from Canada.

Us smaller channels have to work together, the big boys have had it easy for too long. Have subbed and really like the Gunyah set up, have done some videos of it also, not copying anyone but like learning and trying new things then sharing what I am learning. Doubt hardly any of us are completely original thinkers, but some are better at marketing than others.😄👍

Hello Mathew, I'm not really sure what you mean by a shell scrape getting in the way, but if there's no trees, basha poles, trecking poles or couple branches cut to size I'd use personally.

Basically the ground around the edge gets so soft that trying to pin the basha pole in is almost impossible and putting at a slant means as soon as someone touches the basha to get out on stage it collapses. Could be me being a mong but I remember it snapping me multiple times

You made a very nice video here. I only have one question and that is how tall are you? I only ask because it is relevant to the size of the British Army BASHA. I get tired of TH-camrs copying this and that without a bye nor leave you and then, I find some real obscure channel in a foreign language who credits me with the idea or the video showing something that did exist a long time ago, but had not been properly exposed on video. Very cool shelter! I want to try this one. Finally got a Basha tarp there hard to find in the states so if anyone knows where I can find a 2nd one at a reasonable price id like to have another
And thanks again for the practical and useful videos. Using what’s on hand and affordable is far more useful info. Escape and evasion tips for the drive home are more likely to happen than when you’re loaded to the max with survival gear lol.

Many of the big channels have like ...1,000,000 subscribers...and some of their videos have thousands of comments ... there's literally not enough hours in the day to reply to everyone ... i don't think it's rudeness in most cases .
I don't think they even make the effort some of them tbh. I work 60hrs a week have a family and other commitments, if I'm up till midnight I'll reply to every comment..
