That actually seemed to last slot longer than we personally saw in the scene. What looked like a couple mins to us was probably an hour or two that Deep was sitting against the door.
Wild that previously the deep had to be forced to kill a sea creature by homelander but now does it willingly all on his own

I really love atrain 's growth it has been so amazing hating him then slowly falling inlove with him. i really hope he doesn't die.
I'll be so disappointed if they kill him off. He's quickly become one of my absolute favorite characters, if not my favorite. I want Deep to go, he's become insanely evil and has to go.

I wouldn't read too much into that. When Ryan starts speaking in the latter scene, all the supes dropped and I don't think the will kill the whole team next episode.

Ryan actor really has stepping it up this season that last scene of his was really good i think it'll be interesting to see him vs homelander next season.

He's so good. And I'm so excited to see him defeat Homelander next season. That has to be where this is headed. You can't end the series with Homelander still alive if the plan is for more Boys spinoffs and more Gen V. He's too powerful a villain

I assumed that the reasoning why the shapeshifter had sex with Hughie is so that he would fall asleep faster or have a deeper sleep so that he wouldn't wake up seeing the shapeshifter sneaking in the safe

This is how you do a penultimate you setup for the finale. Most shows now make the penultimate the finale and the finale the aftermath.
That’s more for series finals, we still got a whole season of The Boy and maybe one more Gen V season

The approach to the shapeshifter is the same way Kripke represented it in Supernatural, and I love the callback.

The shapeshifter 100% make me think it was a callback to supernatural. Not only is the shedding of the skin virtually identical, but it had a shine/flicker to the eyes just like in supernatural. Gotta love kripke

When sage said there was only one person that Homelander couldn’t defeat, I assumed it was himself. Figured it was a safe way to deliver a burn on the way out, as his own arrogance/stupidity would prevent him from getting it was a jab at him (and also would prevent him from diving into it right away, as he would want to pretend he knew who that other person is to not seem dumb).

The reason Kessler didn’t help and activate butchers powers isn’t because he wasn’t in danger, it was because “The silent treatment goes both ways,” as stated by Kessler when butcher asked him why he didn’t help.

Homelander aint crying for A Train, hes crying for himself
It’s interesting how butcher as a supe actually tanked every single attack from noir, when that noir could cleave through two normal people in one hit. Butcher didn’t even have any injuries after all those attacks, even getting slammed straight through a metal and hardwood desk. He also actually made noir move when he hit him with the crowbar. My guess is that physically with his strikes he’s not as strong, he’s really durable as we saw, he’s fast enough to dodge multiple attacks from this noir, who is superhuman, but I’m guessing his actual striking strength comes into play with his ability, and less his strikes.
I wonder if they’re still gonna air the “attempt” episode?

I think we are gonna get Three Major Supe Redemption Arcs. Maeve was the first one, A-Train is the a second, I believe Solider Boy in Season 5 will be the Third One. I think Soldier Boy is gonna save MM’s Wife & Daughter from Homelander in Season 5. That will be his ultimate redemption moment.
The shape shifter from Supernatural was the cryptid skinwalker, basically instead of walking in your own shoes it's essentially skin lol

I thought the term "Supes" is short for "Super humans" NOT necessarily superheroes bcuz even tho they are not heroes they are still super powered ppl. So it make sense when they called Nueman's daughter a "supe" and the chameleon (aka the shooter) as well.
My theory is that the shape shifter slept with Hughie so they could take his identity and frame him as the shooter for the assassination attempt. Long shot but otherwise the sex doesn't seem necessary
