the irony of this video is that i know in which switchgear this test was carried out as i was the first one to use the exact same hioki 5kV Insulation tester. and i never tested sub main distribution boards with lower power rating with insulation voltage of 1000VDC but only 500VDC. this machine only came in to use when some consultants demanded to see the megger value readings, as normal hioki megger would never show any reading above 4000Mohms, only infinity or pass sign. anyway nice to see someone post knowledgeable things so that others can learn. keep up the good work.
I need to connect LV and MV cable in respective spare feeder but client is ask to perform full panel test. Kindly help me, in preparing minimum list of test I need to perform for LV and MV cubicle
Karthick siva Hi Siva, Insulation Resistance greater than 200Mohms is better insulation resistance if u obtain in Gigaohm or Teraohm would be great insulation resistance...hope i have answered ur question

in this test you will get a leakage current in micro amps not in mega ohm.

What is the good resistance value of Insulation resistance ?
