Honestly, Joey did more than "not fucking up", I feel like he was a sensible and kind lead who took this seriously and respected the people involved in the journey. The fact that not a single woman had a mean thing to say about him speaks volumes
I'm so incredibly proud of Daisy! She read the room, saw that he had given his heart to Kelcy, and left with class. Ladies know your worth and know when to leave. Also kudos to Joey for being honest and true to his heart
Don't think she was fully feeling Joey anyway, so it was an easy move that really made her look great as well. She seems to me to like a guy that's a lil bit rougher around the collar, oddly enough!
I mean yes...and no. Daisy's exit was simultaneously gracious and a smidge selfish. And I agree that it was also a convenient exit strategy: Daisy never really showed that she was "in love" with Joey (nor did she have to be necessarily), but she loved how Joey built up her confidence and made her feel. There's no harm in that if that's how she feels; but it's also not a big rah rah feminism moment to wait until you're not receiving overwhelming admiration, then seek out the answer from the other person in consideration, before deciding to walk away. Kelsey, Joey, and Daisy all seemed fine with the way things went down and are happy, so I don't feel strongly. I just don't think this is a crowning achievement in "girl power".
I absolutely adore that this finale for once included the power of sisterhood. Rather than the runner up being framed as the dumped, it was the two finalists supporting each other. In addition to the beauty of Joey’s proposal, it was also beautiful to see Daisy gain a sister and show what was the classiest thing I’ve ever seen someone do on this show.
You do realize producers set all this up right? 🙄 They knew who Joey was choosing & created this sisterhood drama, never before seen plus they were prepping Daisy as the next Bachelorette & wanted her to look good
@@mariem3429a lot of reality tv isn’t reality but is heavily prompted and edited to produce the story we see… however I don’t think anybody told Daisy to say her parting comment to Kelsey. Or I at least want to believe that
@@MalloryNewcomb I never said they told her what to say. Slowly read my comment again. Basically if I have to repeat it, I believe producers obviously have to know the final pick, so they knew it wasn't Daisy. They set it up with both ladies in limo as their 'something new' & also to be kind to Daisy & give her a good look as the next Bachelorette.
I know a lot of people skipped Zack's season, but last season Gabi showed up to the final rose ceremony - knowing w/o a doubt that Zack wasn't choosing her - specifically because she wanted Kaity, her friend, to know that she was Zack's choice and not "winner by default." TPTB lean into the drama, but we've seen F4s, F3s, and F2s showing true friendship and sisterhood for years. I'm glad Kelsey & Daisy are friends, but it's not as rare as people seem to think.
@@msbrownsuga I didn't skip Zack's season. I wouldn't say the finale was one of sisterhood though. It didn't have anything to do with Katie and Madi. It felt more about Madi still going in saying she hoped she was wrong. Whereas here with Daisy and Kelsey, they went in together as sisters.
I’ve heard it before, quite a few times, but I can’t for the life of me remember what it’s from! But when she said it, I really felt like she had it prepared. It felt “off”.
I gotta say joey is hands down my favorite bachelor he was emotional intelligent ,and seemed to actually listen to the women of his season i hope joey ,and kelsey last for the long haul because they compliment each other greatly 🥰.
This is exactly why he is one of the best if not the best bachelor. The other men treat the women of their season like contestants while he treated each woman with respect and trying as much as possible to protect their hearts. Like he was just so gentle with damn near everybody. It’s not a surprise that all the women had all good things to say about him which to my knowledge hasn’t happened in a women tell all. I actually think I might like this season better than Sean Lowes which is saying something.
Im very upset he went to bed with Rachel it was just an F for him because he had no connection to her and Rachel was not sure either. He was not there with her had much stronger connections with Daisy and kel
I became a huge Daisy fan. She cared so much for Joey that she let him off the hook….walked away without him having to make up a bunch of words. She showed incredible strength.
Yeah she was like “I got this bud, don’t trouble yourself.” Lol he still threw out something that sounded like a sentiment he had prepared but didn’t really hold up in the context of the moment.
She did that not because she cared about him so much but because she was never that into him so it was easy to walk away. She spent the whole season not showing him that she was sure of him, always made him feel he was chasing after her and then she tried to rush it at the end and make herself look like the hero who wasn't chosen and walked away. She manipulated the story.
@@msharlem311 I believe she did love him in the end, or else she wouldn't have said it. Her timeline of "falling" for him was more realistic because the filming of the Bachelor takes place over a short couple of months and one on ones are extremely limited and short... so it's hard to understand how a person can genuinely fall in love that quickly after speaking to someone for let's say 10 hours collectively. I do not think she was being manipulative at all. Overall, what contestants are experiencing is probably more infatuation vs. actual genuine love during filming... if you look at the statistics of this show, there is a very low long-term success rate for the engaged couples at the end. I think it ultimately comes down to the people not truthfully knowing each other.
I believe Daisy will get her prince charming! I also believe Joey was not happy that Daisy broke it off with him instead of him doing that! Daisy is the strong one. I am happy for him and Kelsey!
I saw some people hating on Joey for being “cold” towards Daisy. I can’t believe people are mad that he wasn’t leading on the woman who he wasn’t going to choose??? If he kept validating Daisy until the end people would’ve been even more angry. I think Joey handled his season beautifully.
People can always judge when they are not in that position and have no idea what it is like. I guess most enjoyed the golden bachelor way when he led leslie on right to the end. She figured it out anyway and was devastated. You're right, people will never be happy either way, what makes them happy is they can sit back and judge and have no clue how it really feels either way.
He picked the one who gave him constant validation instead of the one that would cause him to grow. Everybody is just in fairy tale world of “he really loves her” instead of the very obviously psychology behind the choice. He was scared of Daisy.
@@Wow-gd3vc Do you know them? What makes you think Kelsey won’t allow him to grow? You don’t know them any more than the rest of the viewers, so let’s just be excited for the happy couple.
@@Wow-gd3vc Yes, everyone picks the easy one. Period. That's life. People want easy relationships because life is already hard enough. 2 young, beautiful, smart, sexy women. 1 easy, 1 challenging, hmmmm let me think? 🤔 This couple will run into challenges. It will give them an opportunity to grow together. It's easy to grow together when it's an easy relationship. There is nothing wrong with her validating him. Men need that sometimes and when they get it, they DO grow because they have that reassurance that someone always has their back and isn't afraid to tell him. I Said all that to say,...Daisy was kinda cold too, she wasn't ready to be open. Kelsey was. Daisy was on a different timeline and more power to her. That's why it worked out the way it did. She is going to be just fine. She will find her man who welcomes her "challenges". Joey doesn't need to be challenged by Kelsey. Life will do that for him.
Daisy mastered the sense of feeling since she lost her normal hearing. The dude does not have to talk actually. She can read his face expression and body language.
it was pretty obvious to the non deaf too…😂 He said ”ok” and rushed after that passionatr kiss she planted on him etc. His answers were super obvious. Looked like a friendly work meeting. Im sure the moments we didnt see were obvious as well.
The way I entered this season expecting Hallmark Christmas movie and ended up getting Oscar nominee for best picture of the year. I was applauding way too much during this finale. This is the best finale of a reality tv show I’ve seen in ages.
I hope the fans can come together to uplift Jenn and support her going into her season. I think it’s strange to blame Jenn for production’s choice to not show us more of her and highlight how great she seems to be. Blame production, not Jenn!
She's far from my favourite, but people are definitely showing us exactly what several of the girls complained about. Vial and racist comments everywhere. Wishing her the best!
Honestly was supporting Ariel from Zach season to be the Bachelorette this season. I am an asian and I honestly don't care about all this "representation" thing. Just want someone we actually liked in the show to be the lead.
In the last five years, we haven’t seen a lot of Bachelors that actually seem like a solid man all the way through. Like finally we had a chance for show to be about more romance than drama
I love how warm and sincere Daisy was with Kelcy, that must've been such a difficult situation and she handled it with so much vulnerability and class. And also after so many seasons of bachelors really stringing their final three along, I kind of admire Joey not misleading Daisy about her chances
This has been the BEST season of the bachelor in a LOOONNNGGG time, maybe ever. Daisy and Kelsey were an amazing final two. Daisy handled herself beautifully and I cried when she realized it wasn’t her. Her and Kelsey are truly girls girls. Them riding to the rose ceremony together had me GAGGED. And when Daisy said Kelsey’s mom is proud of her, BAWLING. I am just so happy for Kelsey and Joey too. You can truly see the love they have for each other and it seems so real and genuine. And OMG JOEY. He was an INCREDIBLE bachelor. Not a single woman on the show had anything bad to say about him and I think that really shows his character. On the show, you could see how much he truly cared for the women and respected them. He’s now my favorite bachelor ever. Up there with the bachelor/ette GOATs with Hannah Brown. Amazing season. A+ from me. And as always, Maria is mother. But I am very happy for Jenn and look forward to her season!
I loved Joey's season so much. He will go down in history as one of the best bachelors. Jenn is so beautiful and seems so fun and sweet! I am really excited for her season
Great season, though I'm extremely bummed that we won't have daisy or Maria as Bachelorette. I'm sure jenn will do great, personally I find her boring and I couldn't even remember who she was at first. Seriously I thought she was lea at first.
@@abiStalli just cuz I couldn't remember her? I'm sure she will do great, no dis to her, they just didn't show much of her on the show and I look forward to seeing who she is on her season.
Jenn is STUNNING! It's too bad we didn't get to see her personality more during the season so I think your hunch that she was at least their 3rd pick seems correct. She seems sweet and unproblematic, again incredibly beautiful, and Asian representation is also long overdue on the show. She wouldn't have been my top pick when we had such amazing contenders, but I have no doubt that she's worthy.
@@kohlinoor considering how vicious people were being with rachel (fellow SEAsian), i was almost dreading that it could be jenn as the next bachelorette just because i knew everyone would repeat the same cycle despite rachel being in tears over the same treatment that being said, i’m happy it’s jenn. just hope she doesn’t let the undue hate get to her.
@@lustforlimerence but Rachel had not acknowledged Jen being the first Asian lead sense the announcement. Kinda feels like she only cares about representation when it benefits her individually.
I think that show did Jenn a HUGE injustice by not showing her more during the season. They focused on the drama, so we know nothing about Jenn. Most people aren't invested in her love story at this point.
Those are good points. It leads me to believe she was not the initial pick for the Bachelorette, and therefore the producers didn't push to showcase more of Jenn on the show.
It's probably because she wasn't the person they were originally going to choose. However, I think it's kind of fun not knowing much about her. Because now we can get to know her. 😊
I don't think it's the production. I think it's Jenn. She was too self-involved and seemed scripted everytime we saw her, in my opinion. The cookie-cutter kinda poster girl thing wasn't great for a guy like Joey who obviously took himself very seriously. Even her attempts to get him to loosen up didn't seem natural. I'm sorry but I won't be following her Bacholerotte season
@@jenniferhansen3622 That's if people tune in. If people aren't invested in the lead, they won't watch. There is a reason people tuned in to watch Joey's season--they liked Joey.
re: Bachelorette choice: I had been hoping for Maria UNTIL the finale when I saw Daisy SHINE. And then I was hoping it would be EITHER Maria OR Daisy. And now that it's neither of them (for whatever reasons), I suggest we all take notes from the Maria-Daisy playbook and FULLY SUPPORT Jenn because ... women supporting other women and all that jazz!
Daisy took everything with so much grace. I love how well-spoken she was about the whole situation. Was genuinely shocked that Jen was chosen as the bachelorette. But seeing that Daisy and Maria did pass on the offer, proud of them cause Bachelor Nation can be brutal especially when it comes to racism and toxic comments. Having Jen as the first Asian bachelorette is long overdue, says a lot about how far along the show has come and needs more diversity. Looking forward to seeing how she does and I hope she finds love. Joey was the least messy bachelor in forever, I'll give him that.
Joey was such a great bachelor. I love how careful he was with his words all throughout while still remaining sincere. It definitely feels like he entered this KNOWING he was going to hurt people, cuz that's inevitable in this kind of show, but also determined to be as kind and considerate as possible. Even in the end with Daisy, not to take away at all from her strength and bravery in the end, but I definitely think Joey was drawing from his own experience in the past and didn't want to blindside Daisy. He was like gradually letting her down throughout this episode and while it's painful to watch, I think it gave Daisy the opportunity to avoid that big painful shock and let her take the situation into her own hands. It doesn't make for as much drama for the viewer when it's SO obvious who he's going to choose, but I think it's the RIGHT thing to do.
I think everything turned out the way it should. I think both Daisy and Maria know they are at the height of their time right now and maybe it’s the best time to bow out with so much love and support from the fans. Less room to fall from grace (if that were ever to happen) like so many other leads. I wasn’t expecting much from Joey’s season when he was announced as the lead, but it turned out to be one of the best Bachelor seasons ever! I’m looking forward to being happily surprised by Jenn’s season.
@@SinaSoh I also read a theory that ABC may have needed more time to prepare for a more accessible environment for a Daisy season. Props to them if that's true and they are taking any accommodations she may need seriously.
I think you could do better than saying they didnt screw it up , Joey Kelsey AND Daisy made this the best Bachelor season ever. Daisy set an example for all women how to act w Grace and Kindness in these situations . Kelsey and Daisy showed that women need to support each other and not compete over men. Joey showed us what a true man can be . That a caring man will actually listen and cares about treating all women with respect . Joey was by far the BEST bachelor.
I totally agree with you! I haven't watched the Bachelor franchise for several years to avoid the sleeze. I saw a beginning clip of Joey and thought it worth a try. So glad I did. He was the best Bachelor ever. Daisy & Kelsey true ladies, beautiful outside &in. My favorite season ever
@@asmrjudie they had Matt James mom (who I didn’t notice because she was a night 1 elimination) on the Golden Bachelor, so this is definitely possible!!!
This is the first full season of the bachelor I’ve watched. As a straight man, i was extremely surprised to find myself tearing up throughout the episode. It was honestly beautiful to see to people fully in love with each other!
1) I liked how you tied together the AAPI Justice donations with what happened this season with Rachel a Jenn for Bachelorette. I appreciate that. This was a wonderful season. Joey had a wonderful group of ladies to choose from and they had a wonderful bachelor. This episode had me ugly teared up! I mean the faces I caught myself making! LOL. Best to these ladies and to watching Joey and Kelsey's relationship grow. Fingers crossed on her dad for GB!
This was a the best Bachelor Season in ages. Great combination of suspense and the feel good moments all the way through. Does Production deserve a higher grade than a D+ for the first time!?! 🤯
Seriously, Bachelor Fantake, thank you so much for what you do. These Bachelor shows have always been a guilty pleasure for me and you now make it so much quicker and BETTER. Appreciate you.
Jenn was my absolute favorite from the season!! I was screaming when they announced her as our next lead!! I was crying tears of shock and joy. As a fellow Asian woman, I'm thrilled to see her as the lead no matter what anyone else thinks! I just pray production does her season justice 🥹
It’s not her that I don’t like it’s how calculated the choice seems with the marketing and all that saying she’s “the first Asian bachelorette” which is true but you don’t have to make that the selling point.
I hate how they kind of framed her as like the third choice. maybe there's some good in having daisy and maria "turn it down" in quelling people's hatred, but it doesn't feel right. It kind of minimizes and dampens Jenn's experience.
This reminded me of when Gabi KNEW it wasn’t her and took the L despite knowing that Kaity was the winner 🥺 Even told the driver to make sure he doesn’t park in the same spot for Kaity so she doesn’t step in the mud-puddle! 👑
my boyfriend has been watching this season with me now that we live together and i've been having to catch him up on the lore!!! i get a lot of "does this usually happen?" NO it doesn't my love, no it doesn't
Daisy was such a sweetie, and is the ideal runner up for how she responded to being the runner up. Very graceful in her farewell. And supportive to the final girl. (And yes, I see the bachelor as a classic horror movie franchise)
@@hallejohn7063 ugh is it just me or the most fun and high in personality people turn this down? I think everyone after hannah B has been pretty boring
I watched this finale live but could not miss your recap... and lemme just say I LAUGHED OUT LOUD at some parts. Your recaps are my favorite-- never stop!
Congratulations to Joey and Kelsey! I’m so proud of Daisy ,she was so mature about the whole situation.some man will be so lucky one day to sweep her up. She displayed such poise and personality that it just stood out and I’m sure everyone who had anything to do with the show in any way must have learned something from her.
I think that Daysi had her reservations during hometowns, but wanted to see it through, and followed the advice given before Fantasy Suits. That's why she was able to think things and take everything so clearheaded - which I liked. I like that she didn't let Joey beak up with her, but she broke up with him. And, I knew that Jenn was going to be chosen as the next Bachelorette when during the Women Tell All, she was the only one with the conversation about being heartbroken. I'm happy she was chosen and hope Production treats her well and picks a good cast for her. I liked Maria for Bachelorette, but I'd prefer to see her in BIP from week one so she can have a chase to make a real connection.
Such a great season! Joey was a great Bachelor. As an Asian American, specifically Viet-American, I am so excited about Jenn! I think she is going to be an incredible Bachelorette! I was hoping it would be her!
Thank you so much for donating to that cause. I love Jenn! Unfortunately, I can’t donate but I really hope and pray that those who can do!!! Give generously
My friend was applying for PA school and she reached out to Jenn a couple of months ago to talk about her experience and Jenn reached out and validated her and was so sweet so I’m definitely on team Jenn now
You are absolutely brilliant with these recaps. I laughed and cried at how masterfully you injected hilarious clips and tearjerkers throughout. Keep up the amazing work. And way to go for using your platform to promote anti-racism! 👏👏👏
Daisy surprisely grew on me i feel like she won the night she had the best exit of an F2 and finale edit she get to leave the franchise the way she probably wanted as a role model with a much bigger platform to spread awareness for healing issues she looked great at the ATR ,and seemed to have turned down the bachelorette role. Maybe she didnt want to risk as she's already in a good place. She has the biggest social media following now out of any women on Joey's seaskn including The F1 , the new bachelorette, and maria if may grow more after streaming i wouldn't be surprised if she doesn't go back on reality tv ,and just use her post show Platform to write more books or start a podcast or work on her foundation.
I don’t even watch the Bachelor/Bachelorette any more. Why would I when @BachelorFantake does such a stellar recap. He has me like… (insert witty clip from a movie I love).. ❤
I feel like I'm the only one who wasn't surprised by Jenn being picked for the next lead as the questions she was asked by Jesse during the Tell-All made me go 'oh maybe they're going to cast her for bachelorette'. I'm excited to see her season! Great vid as always, Fantake. Can wait to see what else you have lined up!
I called it weeks ago just by process of elimination. Daisy and Maria were too easy of picks and would do better in Paradise that needs some saving after last year. They just came off two Black leads within the last 27 months. And Jen does have a universal magnetism to her, on top of potentially being the first Asian lead and her last min edit. It was a no brainer
I asked my friends the same thing, and everyone thought it was unlikely based on the way ABC continued to highlight Maria that episode. ABC had the opportunity to set Jenn up much better for a potential Bachelorette reveal and just - didn't. They made WTA the Maria show and the finale/ATFR the Daisy show, so its not hard to see why fans were so confused (doesn't justify the hate at all though). That kind of "shocking reveal" doesn't help anyone.
I love fantakes recaps and always watch them. With how good this season was I watched both the episodes and the recaps. This finale was definitely worth watching. Daisy spoke so well and handled the situation beautifully. I’m so happy for Kelsey and Joey!
First of all: THANK YOU SO MUCH @BachelorFantake for all the entertainment, I *really* appreciated it! I never watched Bachelor or Bachelorette and got hooked, first when a video from you appeared in my feed, your editing is sublime haha, and then because of Maria and finally because Joey seemed such a nice guy. Last, I wanted to say that I never understood Daisy throughout the season, and she got me in awe in the end, what a lady! Everyone was amazing in the final 5, Maria may be a controversial character but, pun intended, she does have a lot of character and I think she was genuine and is honest in her intentions, Rachel, Daisy, Kelsey, is so lovely to see someone happy, and finally Joey who didn’t take Daisy for a ride and gave her some hints. Overall, a lot of integrity. Thank you again BachelorFantake! Oh, and a lot of people, along with Maria, kept requesting throughout these weeks, Jen for Bachelorette and I went and rewatched some of her footage and I think she will bring some magic, she has the princess like appeal and aura to her.
Finally, a Bachelor season that was amazing from beginning to end. Let's keep it this way, more romance and less unnecessary drama. As much as I wanted Maria or Daisy to be the Bachelorette, I'm actually happy that it's gonna be Jen and it's exciting that we will have the first Asian Bachelorette! Fun fact: a few years ago I had a dream that I was watching a Bachelorette finale with an Asian lead and her final pick was a blonde guy, like a remake of Sean and Catherine. I also remembered that in the dream it was mentioned that the Bachelorette had been on a Bachelor season where the lead was...Grocery Store Joe! (It was before Matt James's season and Serena Pitt and after he broke up with Kendall.)
Daisy is so full of grace. When I saw Joey sister and how much Kelsey looks like her, it was obviously who he would pick. I cried so hard last night - It's been a long time since that happened. I cried because Daisy is just incredibly beautiful through and through.
I personally never want the “fan favorites” to be the next lead. They have more fun on Paradise and have a better chance of finding a love that lasts. But with that said, I think Jenn is a great choice for Bachelorette. She’s smart and funny, and will have no problem dealing with excess bro drama from her men. I’m excited to watch.
my favorite finale in YEARS!!! i never thought anyone would bring me back to the franchise but this season single-handedly has. an amazing episode that had me laughing crying cringing and had me on the edge of the seat.
Daisy is a special person. I really admire her character. Especially glad she knows to keep away from showmanship and heal heartbreak which she so nobly conceals with utmost class and honor.
Yes hopefully they don’t screw it up like Matt. It seemed they asked him more questions about being the “black” bachelor instead of just being the Bachelor! Like, he’s a man just like anyone else looking for love. Like Matt and now Jenn won’t have a hard enough time because of ignorant people. Jenn should have a great season hopefully as this Season was great and hopefully the show understands romance is better than drama. And Matt is still with his pick (omg I’m blanking on her name) and I think that’s fantastic. They were both used badly. I wish Jen all the best!
I was so nervous Joey would screw up around fantasy suites like the last few bachelor before him (including the golden one!) but thankfully he didn’t. That alone elevated his season for me. People just seem to like him, it’s really nice.
The fact that there was Hallmark references and Daisy really ended on that note is hilarious lol. Much of it for sure was production. Daisy knew she's not it so production pushed to have such sweet ending for once.
Wow! I have nothing but the utmost respect for Daisy. Not only is she a beautiful woman, but she also brought a level of maturity to the whole group. Her courage and self-awareness will be her light in every storm.
Daisy tries to act like a matyr and the hero who walked away, but she never made Joey feel secure, always made him feel he had to chase her and never made him feel he was the one for her. How can she then say SHE was the one not chosen? She tried to rush it at the end that all of a sudden she loves him, to make him look like he was not the one choosing her. But we all know - including her - she would have turned down his engagement and that she always knew he wasn't her person. He would have been left heartbroken. So that is why it was easy for her to leave and walk away and not be really bothered about it. She can't be crushed ablut something she didn't want anyway.
Somebody said what I was thinking this entire time. She is getting all this airplay - maybe partly deserving - but overshadowing the fact that there was always an obvious beauty and connection in the growing love story of Joey and Kelsey. I'm all for women supporting each other - YAY! - but I didn't see this chivalry when they were attacking Maria. Way to go Daisy - make yourself a hero in the end so you don't go down in history as being the one not picked (even though you KNEW from earlier on than you'd admit) but hailed as the Sisterhood champion...yeah, sure.
I know people might be disappointed their favourite wasn't picked for bachelorette, but I think it's going to be such a learning experience for all of us to finally see this show with an Asian lead. So let's do our best to not have this learning experience come at Jenn's expense. ✌
I have so many conflicting thoughts about this finale, but one thing I can agree is that I was gagged and in some moments legitimately (pleasantly) surprised. 1. I am thrilled for Joey and Kelsey! I managed to remain unspoiled but felt pretty confident that she would be his final rose choice fairly early on, thanks in no small part to your expert training Fantake. 2. I was never convinced that Daisy was "in love" with Joey, and her demeanor throughout the season made me suspect that she would dump him rather than letting the process play out. The way she + producers handled it gave the three people involved a happy ending, but it just didn't give me the "umph" that TPTB clearly wanted me to have by her decision. Daisy saying in ATFR that she wasn't going to wait and let Joey reject her sounds like beautiful rhetoric when wrapped in the edit of the Christmas Tree Farm/Hallmark Lead Daisy, but imagine the fans' reaction had another F2 given that as their reason? 3. I though Jenn could be a fun Bachelorette early on, and would've been happy with Jenn _OR_ Rachel _OR_ Lexi _OR_ Kelsey T _OR_ Maria. Each of these women would bring a unique story and something different to the role. But after WTA I was legitimately afraid for anyone being chosen as The Bachelorette not named Daisy or Maria- especially a woman of color, even though any of Joey's final 6 (3 of whom were WOC) would ordinarily be a reasonable choice. 4. I really, really hope that ABC/WB/The Bachelorette steps up to make sure that Jenn receives the promotion, the budget, alumni support, and all of the fanfare she deserves to have a wonderful Bachelorette experience. Last night's debut was not particularly re-assuring, less so b/c of her nerves than because TPTB seemed to be burying the lede. With such a positive, lovey-dovey final rose, there was no need for so much time devoted to how Daisy felt, how close Daisy and Kelsey are, how thankful Joey is for how Daisy handled their ending. Around 10pm I joked that it felt like they were trying to run out the clock (s/o March Madness), and they kind of did. We didn't even get Happy Couple Weekend footage for Jelsey or footage recapping Jenn's "journey"; the focus being on neither the happy couple nor the Bachelorette was an odd choice. 5. Moving forward, I also hope ABC/WB/The Bachelor/ette take seriously the role their editing and promotion has in how Bachelor Nation reacts to their decisions. It was overwhelmingly obvious that TPTB had chosen Daisy as their ideal Bachelorette candidate on episode 1. Similarly, the oversaturation of Maria as the character of the season meant that several of the women's stories and story arcs were clipped. Most notably the replacement of Rachel+Joey footage with Maria v. the trio footage on several episodes, but also some of the great footage we saw in the WTA montages could have been used to contextualize this great cast of women. How hard would it be to showcase multiple women throughout the season to (a) build legitimate suspense re: potential candidates and (b) establish buy-in with the audience to accept any of a number of options? It's not like the show hasn't had 20 yrs of experience.
BFT, thank you as always for saving me the hassle of actually watching any full episodes of this show. Your edits are great & I always get a good laugh too! ❤🎉
What a great season and what a great show case of women supporting women no matter what. I love Daisy and Kelsey both deserve the world, very curious to see how Jen’s season goes

Don't think she was fully feeling Joey anyway, so it was an easy move that really made her look great as well. She seems to me to like a guy that's a lil bit rougher around the collar, oddly enough!
Daisy was a class act the whole way through - she left on her terms.
I just don't think this is a crowning achievement in "girl power".
she is an amazing human being. LOVE Daisy. Such an empathetic, kind, very dear person. Wish there were more like her.
@msbrownsuga ok, but there was nothing selfish about what she did either
I know a lot of people skipped Zack's season, but last season Gabi showed up to the final rose ceremony - knowing w/o a doubt that Zack wasn't choosing her - specifically because she wanted Kaity, her friend, to know that she was Zack's choice and not "winner by default."
TPTB lean into the drama, but we've seen F4s, F3s, and F2s showing true friendship and sisterhood for years.
"If I can love the wrong person that much, imagine how much I can love the right one." is the new "you had me at hello".
I kind of loved that outlook
The new classiest line ever.
What movie is it from? I heard it before but I can’t remember where from
I’ve heard it before, quite a few times, but I can’t for the life of me remember what it’s from! But when she said it, I really felt like she had it prepared. It felt “off”.
@@tigerroselili5765 had me at hello… was it Jerry McGuire
He is definitely one of the best leads ever!!!
Class act! Why did Joey run sweating and crying after that scene..Daisy let him off the hook. He should of been relieved
He wasn't cold towards her either
I agree. I know a deaf lady and you can't hide those things (they are sensitive to smells too, it's actually amazing to me)
it was pretty obvious to the non deaf too…😂 He said ”ok” and rushed after that passionatr kiss she planted on him etc.
Joey was actually subliminally warning Daisy to prepare her, very kind of him to do never seen another bachelor do that.
Blame production, not Jenn! Here here!!
I love that they have the first Asian American lead!!!!
yes! production is to blame 100%
At 12:07 when they replaced the roses with daisies for her 😭😭
Good eye!!
I didn’t catch that! Whoa!
Fr the way they look at each other is just special
I loved Joey's season so much. He will go down in history as one of the best bachelors.
Jenn is so beautiful and seems so fun and sweet! I am really excited for her season
There was a comment in another forum that called Joey the "AI version of The Bachelor." I have to agree.
@@ilovegoodsaxI can totally see that!!!
Great season, though I'm extremely bummed that we won't have daisy or Maria as Bachelorette.
I'm sure jenn will do great, personally I find her boring and I couldn't even remember who she was at first.
Seriously I thought she was lea at first.

SOOOO long overdue, it's actually kind of gross. I don't like how it's happening, but I'm still happy it's happening.
@@kohlinoor considering how vicious people were being with rachel (fellow SEAsian), i was almost dreading that it could be jenn as the next bachelorette just because i knew everyone would repeat the same cycle despite rachel being in tears over the same treatment
that being said, i’m happy it’s jenn. just hope she doesn’t let the undue hate get to her.
Couldn't agree more!!!
@@lustforlimerence but Rachel had not acknowledged Jen being the first Asian lead sense the announcement. Kinda feels like she only cares about representation when it benefits her individually.
agree! i cannot wait to watch her season and am SO happy for some asian representation in this franchise. FINALLY!
Isn’t that ALWAYS the case when the lead is a woman of color🤷🏽♀️
I'm not going to support a woman just because she's a woman.
I can see that. He was giving her the time to get there on her own and she did detach to the point she was like “I got this” and dumped him.
I think Daisy can be a better lead in 2025 than 2024. She is still young!!!
@@SinaSoh I also read a theory that ABC may have needed more time to prepare for a more accessible environment for a Daisy season. Props to them if that's true and they are taking any accommodations she may need seriously.
@@msbrownsuga much respect to them for making accommodations and modifications.
I actually volunteered with AAJ for 4 years! So happy to hear you chose them as the charity! Thank you! I love watching your videos! ❤
Props to Daisy for handling that as gracefully as she did. She showed herself to be a person with great strength of character and integrity. Respect.

Im happy for Jen but very disappointed that there wasn't an announcement for the Golden Bachelorette.
Me too. And Faith was suspiciously absent from both last week's Tell-All and last night's Finale.
They might save that for Jen’s first night as bachelorette or towards the end with the women tell all or Jen’s finale!!!

1) I liked how you tied together the AAPI Justice donations with what happened this season with Rachel a Jenn for Bachelorette. I appreciate that. This was a wonderful season. Jenn was my absolute favorite from the season!! I was screaming when they announced her as our next lead!! I was crying tears of shock and joy. As a fellow Asian woman, I'm thrilled to see her as the lead no matter what anyone else thinks! I just pray production does her season justice 🥹
Came here early to say I’ve seen so much hate towards Jenn when the finale showed we should always be uplifting! Her entire comment section is a mess…
Yes! She doesn’t deserve hate just because it wasn’t people’s first choice
I agree with you, so much hate and it's so sad! Give her a chance!!
People are horrible.
One of my favorite seasons and I have been here since Trista and Ryan 20+ years. Great recap and looking forward to Jen’s season.

Kelsey and Joey’s mom were even twinning with the muted olive green, a metaphor of sorts for their connection.

Your editing really makes these recaps better than the show 90% of the time.
I think Daisy is deciding to quit while she is ahead in this franchise. I’m one of those followers! Love her

Great season 🎉- even greater recaps. You outdid yourself sir!
I don’t even watch the Bachelor/Bachelorette any more. Why would I when @BachelorFantake does such a stellar recap. He has me like… (insert witty clip from a movie I love).. ❤

I thought she said Jess. And I was pissed lol
OMG Mr Fantake you had me rolling in laugter, this was the best recap ever. Thank you so much for making this show better than it is. 😂😂 2👍🏼
Yes! Same here, I was like they’re about to make her bachelorette
Yep I thought so too!!
The anchorman bit sent....me! OMG it had me crying lmao!
THIS is why I come to your YT channel!
....oh and for the recaps too lol
Phenomenal recap and donating to such a worthwhile cause while relating it to the show is brilliant.
I feel like the spiritual date is always a pre-break up date
I personally never want the “fan favorites” to be the next lead. They have more fun on Paradise and have a better chance of finding a love that lasts. But with that said, I think Jenn is a great choice for Bachelorette. She’s smart and funny, and will have no problem dealing with excess bro drama from her men. I’m excited to watch.
Joey mom and Kelsey were matching outfits did anyone else notice
I said that to my husband.
Not matching outfits, but they both were wearing the same sage green color.
Daisy and one of Joey's sisters also had matching colors on.
That date speech Joey gave Daisy reminds me of when Gerry told Leslie “Just be happy”. Like… 😐
At least Joey never told Daisy that she was the one
my favorite finale in YEARS!!! i never thought anyone would bring me back to the franchise but this season single-handedly has. an amazing episode that had me laughing crying cringing and had me on the edge of the seat.
This video had me 😂! Great cutaways, especially the Daisy montage at the beginning and SNL clip.
Daisy is a special person. I really admire her character. Especially glad she knows to keep away from showmanship and heal heartbreak which she so nobly conceals with utmost class and honor.
Finally, an Asian lead! I've been waiting on this for years.
Thanks for the recap of this season. Stay safe.enjoy your little ones
This could be factual. It makes so much sense.
Wow! I have nothing but the utmost respect for Daisy. Not only is she a beautiful woman, but she also brought a level of maturity to the whole group. Her courage and self-awareness will be her light in every storm.
I seriously can’t with the clips and captions you choose to represent your reactions. I’m dying laughing. 😂😭
You are the best bachelorfantake!
Bachelor Fantake, I absolutely loved Joey’s season. I would give him an A+.
I am dying at the Anchorman clips! That was me too
Your ckips are hilarious and always fit so well
Daisy tries to act like a matyr and the hero who walked away, but she never made Joey feel secure, always made him feel he had to chase her and never made him feel he was the one for her.
My favorite finale ever! I love how they supported each other 😢 I cried!
this finale had me absolutely GAGGED!! as someone who's been watching this show for over 10 years, it felt monumental in so many ways :,)
Praise be fellow GOR girl🕳 (the pit)
The blank stare he gave her after she professed her love to him, I felt that 😏💔
I live for your videos dude. They're the only bachelor content I watch lol. ALSO YOU NEED TO WATCH LOVE IS BLIND SWEDEN ITS INSANE
Ha! I started watching that but gotta get into the mood to binge watch with subtitles. I'll get there and look forward to it.
You do SUCH a great job on these recaps!!! Never stop!
BFT, thank you as always for saving me the hassle of actually watching any full episodes of this show. Your edits are great & I always get a good laugh too! ❤🎉
I can't be the only one who always thought that Joey always has that look as if he is 24/7 just spacing out and never truly listening to u lol
What a great season and what a great show case of women supporting women no matter what. I love Daisy and Kelsey both deserve the world, very curious to see how Jen’s season goes
Joey did a classy job of going through this process. As well as the ladies. It’s the best season I’ve seen.
Proud of Daisy and happy for Joey and Kelsey! They all deserve happiness 🥲❤️ What a season!
What a great season! Wishing Joey and Kelsey the best and hope to see more of Daisy and Maria soon. ANDD I’m super excited to see Jenn’s season! ❤
Your edits are hilarious! 🎉 Thanx 4 the laughs😂 plus the fundraiser❤
After Daisy told him she loved him, that pause seemed like a Greg Grippo moment with Katie... Yeah, its pretty obvious. She was intutive.
Really excited for Jenn tbh! I think it should be interesting, we will get to learn more about her on her season, since she wasn’t a major player on Joeys season, and crazy that she’s the first Asian lead, long overdue
