When we Combine Winter Barley with some green bits init we leave it in a heap and let it sweat for a few days, but keep an eye on it that it doesn't overheat but ifit does so give it a stir with the JCB,

I find that it compacts the heap more that way , we’ve got fairly small sheds and it’s just easier and better for the grain to go up the elevator

A question from Oz. Why not store your grain in mobile cylindrical silos instead of sheds?
Just easier for us to be honest , each farm stores it slightly differently, we used to have grain silos !!
