Boy those Claas big square balers sure rock the tractor back & forwards as they ram the straw into a bale! I seen New Holland big square balers do a smooth run with no rocking of the tractors as they work? Must be down to how well the ramming system runs I guess? As you started to say about the Claas baler not being sealed up better to stop straw getting into the twine bays.. I just started to think the same thing! The center section where the straw is rammed should really be sealed up such that it works well and stops any straw getting into the rest of the machine but still have a easy access for cleaning and maintaining work! Not beyond them to do it better no dust or loose straw wasted then if it is a center sealed section for the baling work in the machine.
Great Video George, I miss bailing - I can quite happily bail small bales for days on end. I agree that Barley dust is itchy as heck but it is nothing compared to oat dust, that's just plain evil.
There is just something about barley dust that I don't like. Certainly no arguing that big square baler is more efficient than a round but I still much prefer bedding out with round bales in our straw chopper as they go out a lot smoother and break less shear bolts
Feels like it is getting ready to become stormy here (Kent) though it isn't supposed to rain until Saturday which knowing sods law will mean the straw we have from our neighbour will be cut Friday
I'd love to have seen the conventional baler baling. We had a Jones Baler (Blue version not red) and I just loved the sound it made. A sound of summer that I don't get to hear anymore.
Do you get any bother with that twine George? I'd hesston bales exploding last year with twine popping. Was going to fit stronger string on outside knotters. Why do you cut tails off of knots when you join them, did you do same with hesston?

Another great video George! Love the drone footage. If you had your choice of large square balers which would you choose, Krone or Claas? ta ta .
Such a beautiful tractor George.
Is it ok to feed barley bales to cows? To give them more to get the filled just in case hay is not enough?
Dang that combo! Would be a real treat to use, i understand why you say weapon of choice!
Yes seen you both in the same field and when your good lady putting video up

Good video and you just got yourself a new subscriber :D
Lovely video George love the fastrac
Why can they not make a hole from top string box’s to bottom so you can link them all together at beginning of day?
Think fields in England are getting larger then ever more 100 acre plus fields now a days then years back
You can tie them all onto each other not sure why he hasn’t tbf
Our new holland baler can yie them all together
Those are some Nice Big Straw Windrows!!!
Much easier catching the string than having to re thread the whole baler I dare say?
George Saunders = One Shirt Wonder

Why do you cut tails off of knots when you join them, did you do same with hesston?
I think he cuts the ends too allow it to go through better when changing balls I do the same with my baler
Thanks I'll try that, mine does sometimes stick on bottom tensioner that feeds needles.
have you got a chain drive pick up if you get a new class baler don't get a hydraulic pick up the baler will fail badly
How much are the bales worth?
Bale rope made in israel baler made in german is it an american twist of fate that uses these two?
Hello. How much weight are the bales?
Good video George 👌🏻👍🏻
How many bales does the 3200 already done?

GOOD VIDEO GEORGE👍

Great vid George..
Its taking so long to get to 100k but wen u do thats really wen subbys start climbing

Now if ya only had swath radar ye could run yer drone with ease.
Howdy folks how we doin

Can you wind row straw
You can but its unconventional considering most combine harvesters make a pretty nice row.
Seen a fair bit of it done in Ireland this summer especially with single rotor wind rowers
I really dislike the dance nature of your intro. Maybe if it was in banjo.
