I love you. You saved me. I've been doing perfect steamed milk for some time, but I now realised that my pitcher doesn't have pour sprout, which is the reason I couldn't do clean late art.
Updated.I have found it. The perfect method with a hand wisk. First make sure your wisk batteries are not running down. After warming the milk in a 500mL glass pyrex jug place your 200-250 mL of milk into your 600 mL metal pitcher. Tilt your pitcher at around 30 degrees angle, place the wisk onto the shallower side just below the surface around half to 1cm. Now wisk for 2-3 seconds, no more or less to introduce air into the milk then immediately move the wisk to the the opposite but bottom and deepest part of the angled pitcher and vortex the milk for 60 seconds. You should hear the wisk sound lower in pitch at the last 10-15 seconds. Now tap out the air from the metal pitcher. Gently pour the milk back into the glass pyrex jug, then back into the metal pitcher, keep rotating and tapping out any bubbles. The milk is now perfectly microfoamed. Important when generating the vortex fractionally move the wisk about a centimeters away from the wall towards the center of the base. If you don't the vortex will be poor, if you over move the vortex will start drawing in air and generating bubbles ruining the milk. Its an equilibrium of this for 60 seconds. Your milk will now have the consistency of wet paint. Without this consistency there's no latte art.
It's either the tapping step, the pouring step, or the temperature difference. The milk has to be lighter or warmer than coffee. There is a height in pouring when the milk goes below the surface, and the height where it stays on the surface. When you want it to go below, you pour from up high, and when you wanna draw you go low. Try to get uncomfortably high and slowly go lower if you can't find the point where it starts to stay on top. Hope this helps
I just tried this without instructions today as an experiment. I moved it around too much apparently, so it ended up as just the crappy airy foam. I’ll 100% be doing this next time, thank you for showing us how to do this properly
Wow, this latte art is mesmerizing! 😍☕ Your skills are incredible, and the designs are so intricate. Perfect inspiration for anyone wanting to try latte art. Thanks for sharing such beautiful creations! 🌟
great thanks! Gonna have a go, I guess I'll screw it up a bit, you make it look easy. also, lol at the end with the whisk fight. EDIT: I had a go with the same looking frother as you, about the same amount of milk, and same technique but I just get a ton of foam on top and the milk consistency isn't quite right. Gah will keep trying. At least I get lovely cappuccino now :D
Brilliant video. I still fail at latte art though. I use a Starbucks ground in my french press, the problem is that though I am frothing the milk properly, my coffee in the french press lacks crema, it's just black fluid. So no matter how much I swirl it, the froth just 'plops' on top, just sits. Any idea what I should do? :(
Also at the 'You Need' part, do we need regular coffee, espresso.....How full should be the cup when you started the art? Its a half done presentation.
Those frothers don't work. I've done this so many times. It remains slightly bubbly at the top and still milk at the bottom. Are you holding the frother at an angle? Cause I'm certain I'm doing literally everything you're doing.
Happened to me.. it was a 4 dollar frother I got off Amazon, was dogshit, thats why I couldn't froth.. i then bought a 20$ frother, needless to say, it performed as well as the frother shown in the vid.. just buy a better one or use a French press to froth
I tried this, but it only creates about a centimeter of foam on the milk and it doesn't foam at all I even increased the time to do this to 60 seconds What do you think is the problem?
Get fresh milk or those professional milk for latte. If you get those homogenized, uht or whatever types of milk with preservatives and stabilizers etc., it won't work as good.
Most of the time I make a perfect thick froth, it’s so thick at times , it’s like marshmallows. It took a while to realise the milk needs to be hot but not boiling. Start with the froth handheld gadget in the middle, don’t have it too far up or it creates too many bubbles which creates air. After you’ve held it in the middle, making a whirlpool, lower it and slightly turn the container on one side. Put the frother down further until you have a nice thick froth. Perfecto. It doesn’t create really thick froth all the time though, most times I put it back in the microwave to make the milk hotter and it works. Hope this helps.
I just gave up after trying so many times Edit: it's actually possible, I can't believe I'm saying it but the type of milk u use is very important, whole milk worked the best for me and made proper froth
Mine does make foam at the top, but everything below is still very liquidy, not creamy or thicker. I am using 2% milk and on a tall glass. Should I use whole milk and wider cup?
I’ve tried this but the milk ends up too over frothed. Any tips on how to get the right texture? I don’t know if my mini whisk is too powerful or what it is
I'm struggling with this, so the duration is about 20s using a frother? I'll give it a try. and if I use french press to make the micro foam, what's the duration?
Hey TEMBIR ! For the duration, you should aim for 20-30 seconds, should be alright. If you want to foam your milk with the french press I suggest doing 30-40 little/fast pumps and don't forget to swirl and tap your milk before pouring for latte art !
very great video but pls belp me ... when i try to make design so the milk doesnt float and go side to make tulip and heart .. but it falls and be still at one place only .. pls help
As the espresso sits there, it becomes bitter, but as steam milk sits, the foam separates and becomes creamier… so…steam milk first, then make espresso
It looks simple, but there must something wrong with me if, no matter how many times I tried, I get a cappuccino fluffy foam cap that just floats on top of the coffee :( My frother has three speeds and I tried all of them to no avail! Same foam cap. I tapped the pitcher, no bubbles atop, still the foam cap. I kept the tip of the frother deep inside milk, moved it around, slanted the pitcher. Still the foam cap. If I use almond milk in place of cow milk, same foam story. I don't know what's wrong with this seemingly easy process. Probably if I don't froth at all and just pour milk it will work.
Of course it's different because no microfoam is formed from it but the texture is nice. The taste of natural sugar in the milk is a litle bit less present with hand frother.

Some people say not to use heated milk for frothing, that it won’t work. You’ve proved them wrong. Thanks for that.

do u use the pitcher in the microwave? im also trying to understand how the milk is heated
Heat it up in pyrex or glass dish @@r33gz
I always do this wrong lol. I end up just getting a plop of foam at the end. Guess I need to froth for less time and try to do it like you said

Same here! And I also don’t know what is wrong… maybe we should do it for 10 seconds instead of 20? 🤔

I think the French press is easier than the hand frother. I only get foam at the bottom with hand frother.

What kind of milk should I use for making latte art?
I believe whole milk is best. the higher the fat content, the better the foam.
You can use Bull's milk💀
Whole milk :) 3.25 - 3.5% fat
Does it work work any other milk ?? Like low fat or almond milk?

how do you heat the milk? Is it by using a microwave?

Looks like the french press would have that coffee served already
Allah bless you informative vedio ❤
So you didn't froth anything in your cup? Only coffee powder and water and you stir?
You can use instant espresso or a real espresso if you have a espresso machine !
How to pre-heat the milk correctly? I putted over the stove and it got little burn on the inside wall’s pitcher
Try to microwave it
microwave it!
What about latte art practice with French press I mean without espresso machine? Can you please make a one tutorial video?
Of course I can. Do you have anything to make an espresso or you need some alternative?
@@CoffeetoArt I have pitcher and French press.

What did you use for the shot of coffee?
If the milk is not hot, it is possible to make the froth?

with this tools, is it easier than using french press ?

Can you pour it on regular coffee from keurig?
Hello ! You can pour it in keurig coffee but without latte art :)
good
What kind of milk did you use and how you made the expresso?
espresso - 1 packet of black coffee powder & a bit of boiled water. best milk for latte art is 2-5% fat milk (whole milk)
