Update: I ended up trimming it for now I have to let my hair dry
I cringe when I see ladies put their hair in ponytails and saw through them with kitchen shears. My wife’s best friend stopped by when I was giving my wife a trim and sipped wine with her as she watched. She said she saw a video where a girl put her hair in a ponytail in front of her head and sawed through it. Wouldn’t it be faster if I did that rather than the process I was using of letting her hair down in increments from the hair I had sectioned and pinned up. I explained to her that if you try to cut through too much hair at once, the blades push the hair before they cut, leaving an uneven mess. Well she said she needed a haircut and the last couple visits to the salon left her with bad haircuts that she paid too much for, so she might just as well try and cut her own hair.
My wife gave her a look and then looked at me with an unspoken language we both understood. I told her friend that would definitely be something you would regret. If you would like, when I finish my wife’s hair, I could do yours next. She said that would be great. So as soon as I finished my wife’s haircut, swept up the clippings and took the cape off of her, I jokingly said, “Next!”. Well her friend took a seat on the stool, I caped her and asked how much she wanted me to take off.
She told me that she wanted to grow her shoulder length hair out. Okay, then just remove the splits and keep the ends neat? She said yes, I did as she asked, and she was happy with the results. She asked if she could book her next appointment. I told her if she promised not to try and hack her hair herself, I would cut for her. Well it is now to the bottom of her shoulder blades. She stops by every three to four months to visit, usually when I am doing my wife’s hair, brings a bottle of sweet wine and they chat while they each get their hair trimmed. I informed her I preferred a dry wine, like a Chardonnay, a Cabernet or a Merlot. Be nice to your stylist who gives you free haircuts. She laughed, and now brings two bottles, one for sipping during haircuts and the second to share with her stylist after I cut her hair. She brings Barefoot wine, so she is definitely not blowing her budget. My wife tells her not to feed my inflated ego telling me how I am the only person she trusts to cut her hair. She laughed and said that if he will trim her hair as she wants, she will gladly tell me what a great stylist I am. So I think that if you are going to skip the salon, then have a friend that can help you during the process or help you fix it before you have a meltdown.

Your hair looks great, but you should try to go shorter. With your bangs and the shape of your facial features you would look ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS with a pixie cut.

Wow you are truly a very beautiful woman. And i must say i like your hair short. I do however think you should try it chin length bob and yes keep the bangs they make it all work together.
