I visited Dhaka in 2016, and I immediately realised that the country was rife with corruption. I didn’t feel there was genuine freedom in the streets; there was no happiness in the people’s eyes, and the country lagged far behind any developed nation. But I knew who was to blame for that: the previous government. To the people of Bangladesh, don’t let this opportunity for a brighter future slip away. I wish you all the very best and hope to visit the streets of Dhaka again one day to see how you’ve transformed Bangladesh into a better place.

Congratulations from Sri Lanka! The common citizens of Sri Lanka faced many hardships for decades due to mismanagement, corruption, bribery, cronyism, nepotism, etc., resulting in several youth rebellions at various times in history. The burning issues of the common people snowballed, and eventually, the working class, the middle class, and especially the upper middle class fell into the same basket of issues. The country was officially declared bankrupt in the year 2022!
In the same year, 2022, an incredible mass uprising took place, and Generation Z seems to have played a crucial role in the uprising, as in Bangladesh. Over 90% of the people who participated in this struggle strongly demanded "system change" because they hated the then-existing system. However, after 2 years, in 2024, an overwhelming majority of people across the country took a historic decision to vote for a new party, the National People's Power (NPP), because of its pragmatic credentials and country-centric policies. Yes, this is a great historic victory for Sri Lankans, who strongly believe that the NPP will bring a better future for future generations. Indeed, the world is changing!

I am a Bangladeshi. Lots of people don't know the real truth. Due to student protests, Sheikh Hasina (ex - prime minister) left her position and left Bangladesh. The main reason of the protest was the corruption of the government in every sector.
The question of the 46th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) exam was out when Sheikh Hasina was the prime minister of Bangladesh. It was proved by different media that the 46th BCS question was out, people confessed who were involved in this crime.
After changing the government, recently a decision was made by the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (they conduct BCS exam) that the 46th BCS Exam will not be consider as cancelled though the question was leaked out before the exam (BCS is one of the very competitive exam in Bangladesh)
Moral of the story is - Corruption is in the blood of Bangladeshi, people will change but the system is not. When people are joining in a job through corruption then how can you expect a service from them without corruption.
This corruption is breaking down my lovely motherland Bangladesh 😢
    Its pathetic.

As a Bangladeshi with even a modest level of awareness, I must say that this documentary is biased. While many people might enjoy it because it highlights only the positive aspects, it fails to address the deeper issues. After the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government, we held many dreams of fundamental change, but none have materialized. The prices of essential goods have not decreased even after three months. Many people still lose their lives due to political affiliations, often as part of political vendettas, with the current interim government turning a blind eye to justice. Victims are denied legal representation and cannot even hire lawyers to defend themselves. There are hundreds of protests happening every day in Dhaka, leaving people increasingly disturbed and frustrated. Despite widespread hopes for fundamental change, nothing significant has occurred, leading many to question whether we were better off before. Yet, none of these critical issues are mentioned in the documentary.

Sheikh Hasina's regime ruled Bangladesh with an authoritarian and dictatorial grip for the last 16 years, maintaining power through widespread electoral rigging, particularly in the last three elections. Her rule has been marked by systematic suppression of opposition parties and dissenting voices. Thousands of opposition members and critics have been abducted or killed, while countless others have faced fabricated charges and relentless persecution.
Under her leadership, brutal crackdowns on protests have become commonplace. In the recent student movement alone, over 1,500 protesters were killed, and thousands more were injured or arrested. Millions have faced violence, intimidation, and harassment simply for expressing dissent.
Her government has been accused of massive corruption, laundering billions of dollars abroad while silencing any form of criticism. Meanwhile, undemocratic nations like Russia, China, and our ill-intentioned neighbor India have allegedly supported her regime in exchange for political and economic concessions, further compromising Bangladesh’s sovereignty.
Now, the people of Bangladesh are united. It is time to resist foreign dominance and end the oppressive rule that has stifled our democracy and freedoms for far too long. We want support from all the democratic world.

It's good to see the comments "All eyes are on Indian muslim." No matter what happens with them in India, they will never think to move to Pakistan or Bangladesh. If a country forgets history about their independence, what happened before 1971 and how they got independence, then no one can save them. Cutting all ties with India will only take them towards darker future. It's already more than 3 months with interim government and I hope Bangladeshi people are seeing improvement in their daily life.
