This dude has the build of my dream car. Not even joking, This is exactly how I envision it. You’re so damn lucky, I just have an 04 Gt but you’re car is just so beautiful. Me want.
The Terminator is my absolute dream car. I’ve always wanted one and hope to fulfill my dream in the next few years. Yours is absolutely perfect man. Not overdone and very tasteful. 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Nice job man good taste. I love the performance white on my stripe delete gt500 but torch red and race red will always be tops on my list just something so sexy about a bright red mustang or sports car in general. Good taste on the black emblems too I think more people should do that I hate chrome anything I am like anti chrome lol. I gotta do that to the emblems on my gt500 it really makes a big difference for such a minimal mod as do things like window tint, light Tint, short antennae, etc. Its the little things that make the difference very subtle and you wouldn't even notice many times if you dont really know about these cars but it all adds up and all the little things together make big differences.
That’s cool. Wish I had my cars back in auto shop. At least I had my 97 laser red V6 back then and it was super nice for its day. Lots of good mods there. Our cobras are similar and I’ll be doing some of those things to mine. Mine already has some of those things too.
Enjoyed your video / journey... Have done extensive track road racing mods to my 99 SVT Cobra With 657 rwhp I had to take the car two full steps beyond the 2000 R. Suspension, brakes, engine, ECU, trans, driveline, aero, heat extraction & coolers , 2 sets of rims/tires, 6 point roll bar, seats, harnesses It's a disease. Worth it ?? mostly but not a Good investment. Mine is "street legal" with full interior which allows a little more usage and greater value
I've personally considered buying a Cobra and doing relevant mods to it. But it's overwhelming how much stuff OEM is rather budget, and how much work and cash would go into something like this. And the mods would never seem to end.
Yea takes a lot to bring it up to modern performance, and still doesn't come close to the new stuff as far as performance goes. But it's super raw and a fun car.
@@KyleSVT I still like them more than the modern Mustangs, due to a smaller overall size, the V8 sounds much better with a different firing order, the body style is still very fresh after 16 years.
Your cobra looks great. I’m thinking about buying some Toyo 315s for the rear. Did you have to roll the fenders or make any clearance adjustments to keep from having issues with these wide tires?
No difference than the factory aluminum one that you can notice while driving. I would probably go aluminum if I were to do it again. At the time I though the factory one was steel so I figured lighted steel would be best. Doesn't really matter tho

@@KyleSVT I just built an 02 with a terminator motor & IRS swap with a full Maximum Motorsports grip box with urethane bushings and I'm now looking at the FTBR kit. I'd done a prior IRS swap on my 01 and 03 GT's with 5.4 swaps in them (350hp and 750hp respectively). The 01 wheel hopped so bad on the street that it blew the pumpkin apart in several places and I had to drop a live axle back in it while I worked on my 03. The 03 GT I used Kenny Brown's aluminum bushings and it broke the front ears off the pumpkin and tore the diff cover in half so I put an iron center section from a T-bird super coupe in it with a custom made steel cover but that required a diff cooler to keep it from getting literally smoking hot after an overheat issue in the Silver State Classic Challenge. Curious how well the FTBR kit controls hop. I don't want to blow another center section out and I don't want to have to run a diff cooler.
Got the full-tilt boogie rear-end on my 03 as well. Did your rear wheels rub the bolt back there? My 17x10.5" rears rub it if it's on a lift but clears I think when it's down and driving. Thinking about order your setup and ditch my chrome 17s but worrying about rubbing.
I have the low profile IRS bolts from them. Idk if I would have rubbed b4 but for 20 bucks no rubbing insurance is a no brainer FT 1650 fulltiltboogieracing.com/1999-2004_Cobra_Suspension_Parts_and_Tools.htm
@@KyleSVT I've had your wheel/tire set-up in my carts online for 2 weeks debating whether to purchase. .$1204.10 for those Toyo 888s from Tirerack and $638 for the wheels from OE Wheels. Car looks great now since it's black with chrome AFS wheels but they're only 17" and 18" ones are hard to find.
Definitely more Cobra videos, that's what originally brought me here back in 2018. Hard to believe that after this year the hunt for my Cobra begins, I cant wait. Have you thought of doing coil overs on it? I want to make mine handel as well as possible for mountain type corner carving but also having a nice straight line car. A lot of the upgrades you have already done is what I would be looking to do as well if not already done on the car.
I like it when it's on a real cobra or used with the cobra rear bumper it looks weird when its put on a gt or mach with the normal mustang back bumper. If I was gonna swap it out I would do an s281 saleen wing probably I think it looks best and would fit the cobras look the best. Would look pretty sick on a lowered cobra with wider aftermarket wheels like this car is setup. I could see it both ways I can see how one would wanna keep the original wing but it would also look sick with a saleen wing or something similar.
