ketchup on pasta?!?! I have never heard of such an abomination in my entire life. this is not food.
Abomination?!? Isn't that a pretty strong word to be used here? Recipes adapt based on diverse cultures around the world. You can search for 'a' recipe but find so many variations of the same recipe in different countries. That's the reason you won't find a pizza with chicken tikka topping, tandoori paneer, or vege kebab in the US but is a regular item on a Pizza Hut's menu in 🇮🇳/🇵🇰 (just an example). I've tried this recipe today and it's excellent. Try it by skipping ketchup.
@@saadi.k4627 re: ketchup on pasta, abomination is an understatement! 😎adaptation is fine and to be expected (such as zucchini instead of lauki or serrano chilies instead of Indian chilies), but ketchup is not food.
actually, you most certainly can get pizza with saag paneer and other sabzis as toppings in the US; you simply have to know where to go to get desi-inspired pizza.
I agree. Desi topping pizza was an example to show how franchises adapt flavors in different countries. Also, I feel that locally sold 🍅 at least in my country are tangier in flavor. The addition of ketchup kind of subdues the sharp flavor of 🍅, is accessible, and kids like it too🙊. Thanks! 🙂
@@saadi.k4627 the big difference in the desi-inspired pizza offerings to me is whether they are built on traditional pizza dough and sauce or whether these, too, are altered to reflect desi tastes, such as naan crust and more of a masala sauce than typical on pizza
that kids like ketchup is part of the problem-gets them hooked early on sugary, processed food and well on their way to diabetes. with all the white rice in the diet, desis already face challenges in this area-preference for white (v. brown) rice is probably another problem caused by the Brits.
