Another great, authentic recipe, just like my noni from Italy made. Thick, rustic and savory, a family preference. With few ingredients, a nod to the chef. 🍝
Rough day, troubling times, so much angst but then I see you posted a new vid and even if for just a few short minutes, I get great photography, great pacing in your editing and always the right music. Your recipes are always top notch but your channel transcends 🙏🏼
Hey, thank you for the great recipe. We are currently on vacation in southern Europe. Yesterday we had Italian a la carde. It really inspired me to get to the stove as soon as I got home. But your marinara is the crowning glory of the inspiration. Great 🇩🇪🇮🇹👍🏻
I’m usually iffy on these types of recipe videos because they tend to leave out important details or just not work, and they’re usually super fluffed up for the camera… but I gotta hand it to you man, I went by these instructions and the only thing I did different was add a tablespoon or so of sugar to taste at the end, and other than that it was spot on. Easy to make and tastes way better than store bought sauce. Solid recipe, nice work!
Еще один отличный рецепт для выходных..Мне всегда нравятся ваши рецепты....Спасибо.👍👍Another great weekend recipe..I always love your recipes..Thank you.👍👍
Love how simple you’ve made this. I used to keep RAO’s marinara sauce handy for quick use but the quality has deteriorated since Heinz has bought it. I was thinking of ditching it but was looking for a good replacement and looks like I have found it in this recipe. Thank you so much.
Where I’m living a jar of Rao’s is over $10. I can get the nicest can of D.O.P. San Marzano tomatoes for about $7 and I end up with more sauce than the jar of Rao’s. I can genuinely thank the price gouging on processed foods for making me a much better home cook, haha!
That is a lovely sauce. I've used Marcella Hazan's recipe for a couple of years now. And it's great. But this one looks a bit lighter and more complex in flavor. This is dinner tonight!
Yes I love this recipe 😋 I love homemade pasta sauce the quality is better . Thank you so much Joel I am sure I will make it . Big hugs 🫂 from Utah . 🌟🩷🌟😋😋
Beautiful 🍎🍎🍎🍎tomato ilove it . This recipe is great and healthy its just simple and delicious 😍😍😍😍😍 thank you friend for sharing your amazing recipe 😋
This sauce is just home!!! However I have never made it, now is time to make it! Thank you for bringing me back home with this recipe. You are a very talented chef. I enjoy recreating your recipes ❤❤❤❤ thank you now my family 🤗🍾❤️❤️❤️
Another great recipe! The best part is that the sauce can be frozen and we can have it more than one way. I love it that you can add eggplant, meatballs etc. Adding some seafood and white wine, perhaps a few drops of lemon juice, and you can have something similar to a seafood stew 🤤 Thank you, Chef!👍
Thanks a lot! I was looking for tomato sauce for fresh white beans (I have read your description attentively), I think it will be yummy. You're my lifesaver!
Yum...I've been known to stir an anchovy or two into the sauce and watch it meld into the sauce...never know it is there and it just adds to the flavour of the sauce...:)
Nice video, excellent recipe for a good sauce, music was great, the bird's in the background are ausome, I'll get the ingredients to make this, Thank you.
how long should this keep in a fridge/freezer if cooking up a batch? many thanks for your videos. they have ignited my passion for cooking more than anything ever before
I kinda made similar out of my own head, no recipe. But I mixed olive oil with sunflower oil (not a big fan of just olive oil as such), and I didn't have fresh garlic or basil, so I used garlic powder and dried chopped basil. Also used some marjoram and parsley. And few of my own "secret ingredients". Now it's reducing on low heat. We'll see how it turns out.
Hy! It is delicious!🙂 I made it. But, when the sauce is prepared, where can it be stored in a jar? Refrigerated or pantry? How long will it last? Please tell me :)
It all depends on the tomatoes. Some are sun ripened naturally sweet, others taste like water chestnuts! No sugar needs to be added if you buy and use good tomatoes.
IT'S WOW MARINARA SAUCE 💓 some happy eggs and it will be a delicious Shakshuka, or some fried eggplant with parmesan and it will be a wonderful Eggplant Parmigiana, or just with homemade bread and it will be my white day.... Are you going to replace this warped cutting board with another one?!!
@@recipe30 I would really love to be its sponsor, every knife mark on this board is a signature of so many great recipes and good enough it's yours, I know how to fix these things, I'm sure it's fixable😊
Hi !!! Here in Brazil, there's a big debate about whether or not to remove the core of the garlic. They say it makes it bitter ... What's your opinion? Thanks !!!
It can do but only very subtle, unless it starts to germinate. It can give you indigestion if eaten raw. My rule is , if cooked, I leave it in (unless it's big), if raw, I remove it.
I recommend making a big batch and freezing it in portions for simple quick meals. I often use passata to make this sauce, however it needs to be a really good brand. I find canned peeled tomatoes are more consistent. I also find canned crushed tomatoes inferior, more water content. I never buy them.

Great, glad it turned out well! Sugar should only be added if the tomatoes aren’t vine-ripened or sun-ripened. So buy good Italian produce.

Once you make your own, you'll never look back, ideally make a bigger batch and freeze portions for convenience.
Rao’s is the only jarred brand I use as well. Haven’t used it in a while though. Sad to hear it’s not as good.
Made this today. Came out spectacular! Thank you chef.
