I love how Po and Tigress relationship was never romanticize. Showing that having respect, understanding, and empathy toward someone doesn't mean you'll fall in love with them, like most movie dynamics.

@caylya7869 I think the third one could have just toned down with the Five. If the focus had been on Po and his two dads, it would have been a story about heritage instead of identity (which was already covered in the second movie anyway).
@@JonyPlayz1all the time. The bigger the actor, the more they get paid to “convince” them to be in the movie/show cause they’re always getting other offers and have more options. Smaller actors can’t afford turning down roles cause they aren’t always getting other offers
It always disappoints me a bit when ppl dismiss the Furious Five as just being 'there' when they're actually so much more than just "Po's teammates". The Nick TV show definitely gives them more screentime/lore/characterization and I love it, the dynamic and comradery they have is so nice and refreshing to watch.
I wish the Furious Five had more development or characterization. Tigress was the best developed character in 2, but I feel like they were sidelined a bit. I feel if they were to make another trilogy in the first place, I feel like they should've focused on the Furious Five considering how little they do in the narrative.
They're still only side characters, though. Po's supposed to be the reason you're watching this, and since they're supposed to be action films, they spend more time fighting enemies than fleshing themselves out.
@@ThePrincessCHyeah i guess but sometimes i just want something more to think about like what the first and second movie did. three while a pretty decent kids film, just reminds me of the added soul into the themes and writing
@Depressionwave2338 I haven't seen "Brother Bear," but the main difference between all of the others to "Kung Fu Panda" is that their side characters have time to develop their own separate narrative to the main plot. "Kung Fu Panda" tends to put more focus on their action sequences because it's still a martial arts film franchise. "Arcane" and "Our Flag Meets Death" gets away with focusing on the side characters more because as a series they have more space to balance the character interactions with the action sequences, "Puss in Boots" treats the action sequences more like window dressing, and "Winnie the Pooh" places all its focus on the character interactions because it's not an action franchise.
You just gave me an idea that they should do a furious five mini series where you learn each characters backstory in detail and see how they came together, that would be so wicked awesome !
Regarding Tigress, I think the main reason she wanted to be the Dragon Warrior is because she saw it as a way to earn Shifu's love. She knows that Shifu is only distant out of fear that Tigress will become another Tai Lung, so she thinks that by actually earning that title, their relationship will change.
I hate how fans always say "They never developed the Furious Five", like everyone just collectively forgot how IMMACULATE the teamwork dynamic is in the second movie, and they even incorporate each other and Po's fighting styles into their animations and choreography. Compare this to the first movie where everyone thought Po was a joke and resented him for taking what they thought was their title (except Viper). So basically we get visual storytelling to indicate that they actually respect Po enough not only to fight alongside them, but also to adapt their fighting styles to work in tandem with his.
we already got that in the first movie, you know.... the ending? the furious five bowing to po after defeating tai lung? we gonna celebrate them 'having respect for po" when that was the entire point of part 1? why do you think tigress is considered the 'most developed' out of the five? just look at her scenes compared to the others. what were their genuine character moments in 2 that comes close to the interactions of po and tigress? they could've most definitely made the 4 better than what we got. what we got was basically po and tigress and the + 4
What you said about added backstory not necessarily affecting your enjoyment of a character was spot on. Think about the large casts of characters in films like Encanto or Toy Story. Not all of them have the same levels of depth or complexion, but even though the narratives could theoretically work without them, the overall experience simply wouldn't feel the same.
Encanto is hindered by this, IMO (sorry for the long statement): Isabela, Luisa, and Dolores have probably 10 minutes of screentime per person, and their arcs feel rushed. It doesn't feel satisfying when Luisa breaks down since we never hinted at it before (it would've been better as a gradual breakdown) or Isabela blowing up at Mirabel about the perfection persona since it's only shown (briefly) that she didn't want to be married to Mariano, nor Dolores' crush on Mariano since she mentions it once and doesn't bring it up again until the end (where she tells him to wake up and notice her, despite the film not doing anything to make that line feel meaningful for their romance). Had Isabela and Luisa joined Mirabel (focusing on their bond as sisters and growing as people), it'd be more satisfying, as well as seeing Dolores pining. Nevermine the fact that Antonio supposed to be like a little brother to Mirabel (who's the youngest in her immediate family as well as the youngest girl in her extended family), but we see very little of this relationship aside from right before Antonio's ceremony.
Furious five with Shifu have always been my favourite part of these films and I can't understand how they could just leave them out.. This story won't be the same story without furious five.
I didn't really think they needed to be in the third one, though. A novice training five veterans doesn't make that much sense, and in the second film, Crane had to help Po every time he jumped, which indicates a substantial gap in technical skill.
The po and tigress thing is honestly just shipping. People like romance, and that's ok. We can have male and female relationships that are non romantic in media, and people can ship those characters at the same time. It doesn't take away the value of the cannon and doesn't set those types of relationships in media back.
I agree, I would've liked it being left out when talking about Tigress (and I personally ship the two together), I prefer the movies letting it be platonic and I'd be okay with it never getting delved into in that way. I don't think the fact that people ship it outside of the movies and or interpret it in that way takes any value away from the relationship we see on screen. Children are still able to see a good platonic relationship between a man and a woman.
the detailed contextualization of the hug between Tigress and Po made me appreciate the scene so much more that I teared up rewatching it. What a gut-wrenching and heartfelt scene.
Short answer on why they are noy explored: celebrity casting si expensive and if they changed voice actors people would scream "BUT IT IS NOT HER VOICE"
Ngl as a kid Viper definitely awakened something in me Weirdest part is I didn’t even grow up to be a furry. It’s just this one character and a few others
Thank you so much for asking me to cameo in this video!!! Your analysis of each of these characters was so passionate and detailed. I loved getting to be a small part of it and speak on an issue that’s quite important to me.
I can take or leave Po and Tigress becoming romantic, but I don't see how there's anything wrong with their developing understanding and empathy, which has clearly lead to love, further leading to romance. Some people may be indifferent to the prospect of romance, but to the vast majority, romance is a wonderful thing, a beautiful aspect of life. I think it's important to embrace that, it's something to be cherished and acknowledged as vital to human happiness and fulfillment, and humanity's continued existence. If anything, in contemporary stories there seems to be far too much hesitation to let romance blossom, especially between characters of the opposite sex. Instead, there's a tendency to place platonic relationships on a pedestal above romantic ones. Romantic love is a journey, one that leads to discovery and growth for those involved. It leads to your own evolution as an individual on a deeper level than platonic love does, romantic love is the basis of discovering what you become when you form the deepest, more intimate of connections with someone you love. It's a sacred bond that becomes the most profound, powerful, motivating, inspiring relationship in your life, as typically seen in the commitment between spouses. Which then leads to the next step in your evolution... Parenthood. For most, the greatest joy that life can possibly offer you. Now, that's not to downplay friendship, or the power of platonic love. Platonic love, like all forms of sincere love, is PROFOUNDLY powerful, and platonic bonds can be incredibly impactful and important. Friendship is also a very wonderful thing. But in my assessment, romantic love is certainly more so. But again, in Po and Tigress' case, I can take or leave them becoming romantic, since they're not just friends, but comrades and confidantes. Their relationship is multifaceted, and stands as a testament to the power that empathy and compassion can have in cultivating understanding and love, forming strong bonds even between the most dissimilar of people, and that relying on others, as well as accepting the responsibility of being relied on with all you have, leads to a wellspring of strength for both to tap into. Although I must admit, I do find Angelina Jolie's idea of Po and Tigress having tiger-panda babies adorable, and seeing how they act as parents would be severely awesome.
Excellent analysis of Furious Five characters and how they affected the story of the 3 movies. Hats off to Dreamworks' writers that made them part of Po's family and true friends. They are written well so every viewer can relate to them in one way or another. I was and still am quite upset they were not in KFP4. It feels like the movie lost its soul. Everyone felt something was missing in KFP4 because these 5 characters became an integral part of Po. Instead, we got a replacement, Zhen, who didn't get enough development to care about her. All in all, I hoped in KF4 and the next movies we would see more of Furious Five. We have an unexplored past of Tigress why she ended up at an orphanage so many years, which may have been the source of the plot and her struggle to find her inner peace (it could deepen her platonic relationship with Po further). I can't help but I'm curious about what she could do in inner peace mode considering Po threw cannonballs ha. When I watched Po and Tigress interact it was subtle enough the writers could have written a mature and satisfying romantic thread. By the third movie, the foundations for the natural progression of the relationship was there. Up to writers if they want to keep it platonic or not. For that, I agree, Po would have to be allowed by the writers to mature more to get very serious when he needs to (this could be useful for his character development as well - getting more mature in his behavior). I wouldn't want them to be really expressive about their romantic feelings either, It'd have worked the best if it was subtle. However, I also wouldn't mind them remaining close friends either. If Dreamworks were concerned about the cost of the voice actors, this would be the moment to replace them for KFP5 and 6. Actors like Angelina Jolie are too expensive for their celebrity status. In my country, there are people who do voice acting professionally and they're not celebrities thus when I hear KFP characters in my native language I do believe that's exactly how they'd have sounded irl.
@@ThePrincessCH You are right; I'd be fine with the maturity he showed in Kung Fu Panda 2. That movie has a good balance between his comedy and maturity.
It's wild how much hate Disney got last year and now it's Dreamworks' turn. Not a big DW guy, but someone said that their fandom is kinda weird since DW mostly makes "meh" movies and when they make a great one, the fandom acts like it's the greatest studio.
@@ThePrincessCH Yep. They even used Stephen Schwartz (who had worked on two Disney films before) to do the music for "The Prince of Egypt"--sadly, this upset Disney and thus they prevented him from doing music for "Mulan" (which ended up coming out the same year as TPOE).
Disney had a shit year and then Dreamworks came out with The Bad Guys and especially Puss in Boots 2 and blew everyone out of the water and heightened expectations
I knew it! That’s the same director that ruined The Lego Movie 2, and he’s just a hack who rehashed Shrek in ANY DreamWorks movie to EVER pull the “From The Creators Of Shrek” card!
My thing with not liking the Po x Tigress ship doesn’t even have anything to do with them being different species making it weird. I think that it would be fine if different species got together in the Kung Fu Panda world, I just don’t think Po and Tigress have any romantic chemistry, and a lot more platonic chemistry, and I love that they are just great friends and nothing more. Edit: 26:35 - 28:35 YES!! My thoughts exactly!
When i was younger i didnt understand why Poh and Tigress weren't in relationships, i mean, there are so many couples without half of their chemistry that do get together, but now i do understand, because i found a Poh in my life which is my best friend, i could never date him and he could never date me, dont get me wrong, we understand eachother better than anyone but... our love is so platonic and came so naturally that we never thought of eachother as a possible romantic choice
I think the reason people shipped Po with Tigress was because in the legends of awesomeness spin off show that’s not canon had plenty of interspecies ships Po had a crush on a snow leopard girl named Song Mantis had an ex girlfriend who was a butterfly Crane had a crush on a pig girl Monkey had a crush on a bunny girl and later had a crush on an Ibex girl who was in love with Po Po had to marry a goat girl at one point Mr. Ping briefly dated a Scorpion villain Some elderly goat had feelings for Mr. Ping but he didn’t love her back Shifu had an ex girlfriend named Mei Ling who was a fox Tigress had a crush on a prawn samurai named Yijiro who loves her back Tigress had a crush on a vigilante called the midnight stranger who was actually Po in disguise and she stopped crushing on him when she learned his true identity Tigress at one point had a crush on Shifu (gross)
I just love Craine He always was my favorite and i was salty that he wasnt more of a character He is just a birdy doing his stuff The way he fights is really cool its not that "thing that can fly only flights in flying circels around the enemy" The furious five are just great lovely Video : ) monkey
FINALLY somebody is giving the 3rd one its due credit for being an amazingly awesome film. People compare it to the previous 2 and have it automatically set below them but really it's so beautiful that it's got its own place.
po literally wanted to marry a goat on legend of awesomeness so how can it be any weirder in tigress case? for me they work as a couple, but i like to see them as friends to and even as a family since they're two orphans who found eachother they work as evreything and in a way that is so entertaining why couldn't we get to see more of them in kfp4 BRUH
Either because hiring the voice actors again is too expensive, or because the Five would take focus away from Po and Zhen, which is the main reason for the 4th film.
They could work as a couple and technically nothing in this franchise hints there are no interspecies relationships. Many people think they can become a couple because they have formed a strong friendship throughout 3 movies. Their interaction in KFP2 and KFP3 show how deeply care about each other hence the most emotional moment of the franchise when Tigress hugs Po and later Po returns the gesture. Their personalities balance each other. She balances Po's eagerness and easy-going personality and he brings a bit of joy and fun to her. (insert Ying and Yang here) Not to mention, she feels the most comfortable opening up to Po about her traumatic past (before she got interrupted on a boat) as he is not the kind of person who would judge anyone for their insecurities. To sum it up, there is a good foundation to take their relations further if the writers choose so. It'd be an intriguing part of Po's personal journey as a character considering each movie in this franchise brings new personal challenges to overcome. Maybe, it could mature his personality a bit which could help to keep the comedy aspect of the movies in check. However, I don't mind them remaining as close friends too.
@@piotrfijoek1095 would really like to see this happen, also i think a whole franchise that has six movies without any romance would be really dry, there's a good chance that we will see them getting together in the next two movies if they changed that bad writer and replaced him with someone who knows what the fans want and knows how to shape it perfectly, TiPo is great
@@z_ahra_a I would like to see it as well. It'd be quite a satisfying conclusion to their blooming relationship. I hope the next 2 movies will include that. Seeing Tigress and Po dealing with their feelings for one another would be a sight to behold and quite moving. The thing is the writers were the same since KFP1 and they wrote KFP4, however, the director had more influence on the story than Dreamworks influence and the writers had to fight tooth and nails to include any backstory of Zhen and the Chameleon but the movie was too far in production to add anything more. The director didn't think the backstory of those 2 characters was needed. x)
Really good use of academic quotes and analysis to look at these characters I tend to overlook. I totally forgot how much character Crane has despite never being particularly prominent.
0:18 Oh dam I wasn't expecting that and I comptelely agree, Mario Movie is mostly a string of refernces rather than a meaningful story using characters related to mario. it has something in the begging with luigi but he gets left away somewhere else where he doesn't interact with his brother enough.
Great video! You have pretty good points honestly, they really deserve more. Something that I think doesn’t really make sense is that people act like they had 0 seconds of screen time in the 4th one but they’re literally in the end doing stuff at least, even if it’s not much lol
I feel like saying that interspecies relationships would be weird in kung fu panda is a poor and strange point. Why wouldnt they be normal? It'd have strange implications if they werent... otherwise awesome video!!!
Great video! The first 3 movies are my favorite animated films. I feel like it all comes down to money. The voice actors were just too expensive for them. It's a shame. The fourth movie would have been a chance to send them off if they really can't afford to have them in the next films.
I think the Five aren't as necessary in the third film for the same reason I think most people see Kai as the weakest villain of the trilogy: they are required to make it an action film. If you place most of the focus on Po and his two dads, it becomes more about a film about learning about heritage rather than identity (which was already established in the second film).
Tbf,i think the reason why i always liked the kung fu pand animeted show is because it actually gives the furious five some solid development and relationship within eachoter and Po -Surely,it's better than the megamind show-
That's how I felt about the movie after watching it literally. Every time I've seen a Kung Fu Panda movie it has moved me. But this is the first time where I wasn't. I just did not like it. Like I kept thinking damn I really miss the furious five. Especially with the fact that they're seem like they are about to have Po be done with the series. I would have really like to have seen them if anything they should have been in this movie
All of the Five could've been used to draw parallels to Tai Lung, but they mostly just did so with Tigress. All of these people trained so hard to be a master at kung fu, only for the savior of their people to (seemingly) be accidentally someone who literally fell out of the sky. Monkey being the least broken up about not being chosen says to me that he never expected to be chosen, anyway. Why is that? Does he have imposter syndrome as well? Does he feel inferior to the rest of the Five? Is that why he's so quickly won over by Po? Is that why he uses comedy as a mask? There's so much potential with the Five. I wish the sequels had capitalized on it
27:13 No way, I was just thinking that, but yeah, it's a little difficult to discern between friendship and romantic feelings when the tropes being used are shared between each other but that is usually in LGBT context in hetero couples is usually more direct
@@Tbird12 i mean, the trilogy in it's self it's very good, but the execution on the last movie... and it doesn't help that the original idea for kfp3 was that ping gets killed (idk who or when) and po's biological father was very cold and serious, that would've been so interesting to watch 😭
You should listen to the balled of Hollywood Jack & his cover of wicked game, I feel they show his musical talent really well Edit* By him I mean jack black, the band is called Tenacious D
It's sad that the Furious five are being pushed way so much, I know having the five all the time can get boring but more even more adventure with them in film would be great. Also, I don't get the interspecies argument, why would it be awkward, she loves a shrimp in legend of awesomeness. I agree that Male and Felame friendships should be normalised though.
I am always gonna maintain that Po and Tigress don't need a romantic relationship but you really lost me with the 'they couldnt because interspecies would be weird'. There's nothing to suggest that that's a boundary in any of the films, especially with both Po and Tai Lung being adopted by someone not of their species. I dunno! The point felt half baked to me.
In Defense Of Kung Fu Panda 4: Animation is excellent, the fights are extremely well animated - choreographed. THE MUSIC IS GREAT. THE MESSAGE about being complacent with who you are - will make it hard to accept change. One Cannot Be A Better Version Of Themselves Tomorrow Without Changing For The Better Today. I loved Po's development in this film -- as humans - we don't just grow past bad habits, we relapse, we go back in development of ourselves after we take a step further. THAT'S PO'S DEVELOPMENT IN THIS FRANCHISE. That's the way humans develop. Voice Acting was GREAT ZHEN's development was...MUCH better than I expected. She was genuinely played well by Awkwafina who gets WAY too much hate for just being the actress she is. ZHEN's chemistry with Po was well done and it's a character, personality wise that I don't believe we've ever seen Po be around. Their dynamic was fun and interesting to watch. HOWEVER, yes THE CHAMELEON is a GREAT villain concept, in theory but in terms of execution of this villain - DreamWorks, specifically the writers and Mike Mitchell could've done better, explored her past of getting rejected more WITH VISUALS like Tai-Lung, Shen, AND General Kai. I will add however, that The Chameleon was more well fleshed out "motivation-wise" then General Kai. We may have gotten phenomenal fight scenes, excellent voice acting, and a kickass score from Kai but we never got a solid REASON - MOTIVATION as to why he wanted to steal everyone's Chi. However, The Chameleon LITERALLY explains her motivation to Po towards the end battle. So, The Chameleon is technically more well developed then Kai, but definitely not as well-fleshed out as Tai Lung, let alone Lord Shen. COULD'VE PUT THE FURIOUS FIVE IN! The Furious Five not being in this film for me is definitely what holds it back from being an EXCELLENT film the most. It's a SOLID film - without a shadow of a doubt, BUT Tigress should've been developed in this film. We very well should've gotten more personal development between her relationship with Po, that has been built up throughout the last three films. As for feeling like she should've been chosen as The Dragon Warrior. I don't believe that Tigress or the REST of The Furious Five feel the NEED to be The Dragon Warrior, nor the desire due to growing past being jealous of Po being it in the first film. I feel like it not going to one of is just consistent with their development. In-Any-Case - they'll be back for Kung Fu Panda 5 - and be in damn-near the forefront of the film according to Mike Mitchell. Mike Mitchell has said that seeing the Five in the ending of this film, is meant to lead us directly into the next film with The Five. Also, apparently Mike Mitchell is the BIGGEST advocate for a Furious Five Film -- according to Co-Director -- Stephanie Ma-Shine. Super Excited To See KFP5. Now LASTLY - about Lord Shen and Kai bowing down to Po after he defeated The Chameleon. Tai-Lung had realized he was wrong in the first film after he sees The Dragon Scroll is empty but just continued to fight Po out of anger. HE KNEW PO WAS RIGHT, AND DOES NO ONE THINK THAT ALL THIS TIME THE SPIRIT REALM MAKES CHARACTERS GROW? - Lord Shen also DEVELOPED, in the last moments of the second film - he asks Po, how did you do it? Stating that he took away his parents, everything. I scared you for life. And Po responds with you got to let go of that stuff from the past cuz it just doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is who you choose to be now. And Lord Shen chose his fate, BUT one the boat collapses due to Po - Shen fighting, he ACCEPTS his own fate. Going from there and having time to reflect on your actions in The Spirit Realm, one can safely assess that Lord Shen definitely respects Po, due to how surprised and impressed Lord Shen was about Po finding inner peace. It's IN Kung Fu Panda 2. We can clearly see Shen would respect Po after he won against not just his weapons, but against all the trauma Lord Shen put him and all the remaining pandas. So, the villain respect scene which is a clear homage to the first film - is actually consistent with the three main villains' character growth. To Sum All Of This Up: Kung Fu Panda 4 is NOT as masterfully well done as Kung Fu Panda, let alone Kung Fu Panda 2. It's humor is better placed and more well done than Kung Fu Panda 3. Also the fights are just almost the best they've ever been. As a movie - Kung Fu Panda 4 is EXTREMELY GOOD - even GREAT at times but the lack of The Furious Five hurt every aspect of the film and The Chameleon being under utilized definitely bring the movie down. It's definitely extremely good but not as good as it could've been. ----- The Furious Five are going to be in MUCH more of Kung Fu Panda 5 - confirmed by Mike Mitchell.
How exactly would they fit the Five with Zhen? The fourth film mainly focuses on the interactions between Po and Zhen, and given that Zhen ends up being Po's successor, I can't imagine fitting the Five with Zhen, the Chameleon, and all the other new characters. I honestly don't think they even needed to be in the third one because a total novice teaching five veterans doesn't make that much sense. In the second film, Crane has to help Po when he jumps down because he's that far behind in terms of technical skill.
Its not a man and woman thing, its just a shipping thing🙄. People would do this if Tigress was a dude and had a lot of chemistry with Po too so its pretty dishonest to say its just cause they are a man and a woman and dismiss actual reasons. I mean that dismisses the HUGE culture within shipping SPECIFICALLY about shipping same sex characters and headcannoning sexualities and genders. And then to go on and say the "why cant people be friends" is mostly used for LGBT characters, come on now. NO, its used in terms of ANY shipping for the longest time and not "mostly" for lgbt pairs, thats just not true. Also again dismissing THE REASON people would say that ISN'T just cause the couple is LGBT but usually because the character has a confirmed sexuality(and just in case I'll make it clear that the sexuality isnt just heterosexual btw. Its sometimes about using that when it comes to 1 or more lgbt characters too), the characters dont have much chemistry, people just personally like them as friends or some people just dont like shipping. Most of the reasons dont simply rely on "they are the same sex or lgbt, no bueno must deny". I dunno, that part of the video was the weakest, most disingenuous and dismissive of the actual topic. Not saying you needed to go in painstaking detail but I feel like you let your bias of thinking they make more sense or are better as platonic guide how you presented this simply in a way you could dismiss other factors/arguments/reasons and the other side nearly entirely to easily argue for your point against it. Like you could have argued your opinion of just liking it being platonic without bringing up the other sides views and arguments but dismissing the more common resonses and reasons, and just not presenting them fairly. Practically inserting implied bigotry and prejusice for.......some reason. It just makes your argument weak and feels more like degrading the opposition for your point of view. Dont think you intentionally intended to do that, aim just sharing how it kinda came off Good video overall but that last part with Tigress was not very good and easily the weakest part of your video.
wow, love that you said you wasn't going to shit on tigress x po shippers and then proceeded to do exactly that. it's fine if you don't ship it but claiming that shipping them is a shallow interpretation of their relationship and that there's no reason to ship them other than them being male/female co-leads is weird and wrong
honestly it makes me real happy that po and tigress' relationship is platonic, i feel like platonic relationships are not really well explored and as someone who does not feel comfortable with romance yet is everywhere is something that i always appreciated as a child, and also something that made me see that platonic relationships can be just as deep and well rounded as romantic ones, it made me real happy idk
I'm glad you're talking about them separately And not togethe And not together. Because I would like to know. Because I wanted to know. What you would say about them. Separately
you insists theres more to TIgress than just being Pos love interest, yet you spent the whole segment complaining that people ship them.. nothing in canon implies theres anything romantic between them, why would you dedice this whole segment to this

A novice teaching five veterans doesn't make that much sense. In the second film, Crane has to help Po whenever he jumps down, which shows a huge skill gap.
@@ThePrincessCHTrue. But if written correctly. They could all technically be driving forces. While still focusing on po.
@caylya7869 I think the third one could have just toned down with the Five. If the focus had been on Po and his two dads, it would have been a story about heritage instead of identity (which was already covered in the second movie anyway).
Monkey has exactly seven lines in Kung Fu Panda 1 and i gotta assume that was mainly because Jackie Chan was too expensive
So they managed to develop his character with only seven lines. That's actually amazing
Everyone gets paid differently? Lol

@@SaccharineHearts Isn't that "Secrets of the Scroll"?
Encanto is hindered by this, IMO (sorry for the long statement):
Isabela, Luisa, and Dolores have probably 10 minutes of screentime per person, and their arcs feel rushed.
The first sentence is too true, peaches was a bop and I was glued to my seat when he started singing at the end of KFP4
Also po literally glazes the furious 5 in the very first film, so it makes no sense to remove them from the fourth
Ngl as a kid Viper definitely awakened something in me
Weirdest part is I didn’t even grow up to be a furry. It’s just this one character and a few others
You are a scaley not furry

I don't think they'd make Po more mature, given that the film still has to appeal to kids, and the humor was a big part in all three films.
Disney and DreamWorks have a sort of unspoken rivalry. DreamWorks founding member used to work for Disney.
Regardless of whatever your head-canons may be, no one can convince me that Tigress would EVER willingly date Po. That sounds wayyy out of character.
I would absolutely watch “why kfp3 is my favourite of the trilogy”
Maybe.
I think the reason people shipped Po with Tigress was because in the legends of awesomeness spin off show that’s not canon had plenty of interspecies ships
Po had a crush on a snow leopard girl named Song
Mantis had an ex girlfriend who was a butterfly
Crane had a crush on a pig girl
Monkey had a crush on a bunny girl and later had a crush on an Ibex girl who was in love with Po
Po had to marry a goat girl at one point
Mr. Ping briefly dated a Scorpion villain
Some elderly goat had feelings for Mr. Ping but he didn’t love her back
Shifu had an ex girlfriend named Mei Ling who was a fox
Tigress had a crush on a prawn samurai named Yijiro who loves her back
Tigress had a crush on a vigilante called the midnight stranger who was actually Po in disguise and she stopped crushing on him when she learned his true identity
Tigress at one point had a crush on Shifu (gross)

FINALLY somebody is giving the 3rd one its due credit for being an amazingly awesome film. People compare it to the previous 2 and have it automatically set below them but really it's so beautiful that it's got its own place.
I always thought the 3rd movie was over hated I feel like after the disappointing 4th movie people will appreciate 3 more
po literally wanted to marry a goat on legend of awesomeness so how can it be any weirder in tigress case? for me they work as a couple, but i like to see them as friends to and even as a family since they're two orphans who found eachother
they work as evreything and in a way that is so entertaining why couldn't we get to see more of them in kfp4 BRUH
Either because hiring the voice actors again is too expensive, or because the Five would take focus away from Po and Zhen, which is the main reason for the 4th film.
LoA isn’t canon but I see you
They could work as a couple and technically nothing in this franchise hints there are no interspecies relationships.

Great video! You have pretty good points honestly, they really deserve more. Something that I think doesn’t really make sense is that people act like they had 0 seconds of screen time in the 4th one but they’re literally in the end doing stuff at least, even if it’s not much lol
I love this trilogy ❤️ its my favorite of DreamWorks' trilogies! The consistent quality of all 3 movies is incredible!
18:59 And so the shipping wars begin. 😂
Anyways this video is great. Furious Five are definitely what made Kung Fu Panda great.
The fourth movie would have been a chance to send them off if they really can't afford to have them in the next films.
tbf F5's voice cast, I assume, is expensive AF, lucy lio? jackie chan? freaking angelina jolie?
The furious five need their own show/movie

@@Tbird12 i mean, the trilogy in it's self it's very good, but the execution on the last movie... and it doesn't help that the original idea for kfp3 was that ping gets killed (idk who or when) and po's biological father was very cold and serious, that would've been so interesting to watch 😭

In Defense Of Kung Fu Panda 4:
Animation is excellent, the fights are extremely well animated - choreographed.
Voice Acting was GREAT
ZHEN's development was...MUCH better than I expected.
Bro I'm not reading all that.
Dont think you intentionally intended to do that, aim just sharing how it kinda came off
Good video overall but that last part with Tigress was not very good and easily the weakest part of your video.

I'm glad you're talking about them separately And not togethe And not together. Because I would like to know. Because I wanted to know. What you would say about them. Separately
I like Po x Tigress. But I also like them as friends. Nothing is wrong with romance
you insists theres more to TIgress than just being Pos love interest, yet you spent the whole segment complaining that people ship them..
nothing in canon implies theres anything romantic between them, why would you dedice this whole segment to this
'promosm' 😠
Dude, they’ve been gone for ONE movie. They’ve been there 75% of the time and their characters aren’t even that interesting. Calm down.
