another really cool thing to do is make a quilt out of them. in the olden days that's how people recycled old clothes and bits and pieces..they were awesome. i had the privilege of owning one on my grand mother's quilt (it got destroyed in a fire). I miss it
Recycle some T-shirts this weekend and share a picture with me on Instagram @coolirpa#coolirpa ! This is seriously the cutest, fastest, diy i've ever done! ^_^ Share with your friends and encourage them to recycle!
To ease your mind about clothes in land fills the millions of clothes that goodwill can't sell in the states get sent to poorer countries to be sold and what still doesn't sell gets shredded and turn into insulation for homes, and houses don't care about fashion that much. My sister recently went to Nicaragua and discovered this.
It is kind of good that people get our old clothes we don't want, but it is also bad because it means people won't buy other clothes, which puts other people out of business.
Love your transformation videos. I have a lot of fabric to make things, but there are times when I want to take items I already own and transform them. And recycle ★★★
hi april! if ever you come to the philippines, you'll find awesome cheap clothes that costs only $5, sometimes the one that i saw on your videos only costs cents here in the Philippines. In our country, it's called ukay ukay and the other one is called over-runs. hope you'll come here soon for your thrifted creations/recycled! love lots from Philippines
Thank you! Very helpful. I need a halter top.for a disco themed party I am going to. I plan to buy some gold shimmery fabric and follow your tutorial. Can you tell me how I could attach the neck tie to the top since I won't be using a tshirt to make the halter. Thank you again!
😆 this video is very useful ! What about transforming a t-shirt into shorts (like home shorts/ sleeping shorts) ? Looking forward to seeing more videos of t-shirt transformation 😁😆
For the first two halters, if you have a shirt large enough so that your hips could fit though the neckhole, you could use the scraps for a skirt by cutting along or breaking the seams to the sleeves of the t-shirt to create a up-down skirt
Hi Coolirpa... I'm wondering if you really use your DIYs outside your house... like hanging out with your friends... BTW, all of your DIYs are so great... thanks for sharing your ideas. ^_^
