    You inspired me to start working on getting a month ahead fund. I am a musician so my income is coming from various sources and constantly fluctuating. Having a few months of expenses set aside will help me feel so much more secure. It’s one of my sinking funds envelopes and I just add what I can to it every time I get paid!

    So glad you made this video. It made getting a month ahead so much easier. I am going to try to get a month income ahead instead of monthly bills. I am already ahead on utilities but, with this cold spell it may eat up what we are ahead at this time. Wish I had known how to do this before I retired.

    So this will be my first time in a LONG time lol using an envelope method along with cash stuffing. I want t start on Jan 1, 2023, and I have my month ahead already saved. Can you talk about how to start if you are at th point where you have your month ahead, but are also just beginning? Thanks!

      @@Baddiesandbudgets I think they meant how to do a monthly budget. But break it down to week by week expenses

    • @Everybody_loves_Jeri
      @Everybody_loves_Jeri ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Baddiesandbudgets you do your full monthly budget, then do the first weekly from that. I get lost Including sinking funds monthly or waiting until each paycheck (I get paid 3 times each month)

    • @estherj.walker8658
      @estherj.walker8658 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      A month ahead is for your reoccurring expenses that you KNOW what it cost...groceries can be variable. After you get your basics covered you could add in more for variable expenses.

    So this would saving up $2720 extra on top of the monthly $2720 you’d be paying for already until you reach that month ahead?

    • @reneebarnes7225
      @reneebarnes7225 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Take your 2720 and divide that by 24 if you get paid biweekly or 52 if weekly then after you created your budget which amount can you afford. Save that money every paycheck. Hope that helps
