I see you mentioned the clearance height of the garage door opening. But could you tell me the height of your ceiling and how much clearance you have with Z in its home position? Appreciate it!

Hello. Can you please tell what is the height of your door opening ? I've got 204 cm height thru and no more, and I would like to know if this machine could fit my door . Thank you !

Congrats, Mike! Can't wait to see what new stuff you make with the Syil - it looks like a serious piece of kit.

I think that machine will be safe even if you forget to lock the door. Maybe put a tiny, toy lock on the base, just as a conversation piece. 😶

Syil machines seem like such a great option for someone new to CNC-ing.

congratulations for the machine, the truth is that it is quite an odyssey to move in such a small space 😄😄 the machine looks very good, and we'll go showing how it works, happy holidays and happy 2023!

Good job getting it in the garage, wish there was an affordable made in Europe similar cnc, unfortunate that the haas is nearly 50% more

I have full understanding for the problems with the transport of machinery. Myself as engineer (embedded sotware developer) made same assumptions for the forklift when I purchased old ernault somua milling machine for cnc retrofit. Probably i will go the same path in future so looking to know the price for the cnc but for regular user. Till now all we know is that is bellow 40k. Hope videos will follow so Us that are not machinis by the trade will learn something.

Wow , that was an odisea. And I was going to comment that the control panel was in the wrong side , for my liking , when I shaw the lettering mirror image….enjoy your new machine , hope that you have many years of trouble free machining…

You're the second Syil owner I've seen in my feed with a new machine. Edu Puertas got one in the past couple years too. Definitely going to keep my eye on them as an alternative and middleground between the tormachs and robodrill/brother/kitamura/haas end of things. Probing and rigid tapping are so damn nice but... money

Congrats on getting new machine! I also never heard about Syil CNC machines. Looks like a very well built machine. Looking forward to videos with new machine!
I don't know your workload for that machine, but if you're milling a lot of relatively small parts, you might want to take a look at PiersonWorkholding palet system (they have a nice YT channel) - helps to maximize machine time.
p.s. Looove working with idiots from shipping companies.. not all of them are like that, but still..

    Hi Mike,
Could you please let me know what is the height on your garage door? I am considering buying one X7 and the height on my garage door is 83”
Thank you for sharing your experience!

My SYIL X5 is taking the long route via South Africa. I've paid for a professional machine delivery service to deliver it. That was expensive, but I didn't want to take any risks. I ordered it back in July, it should arrive in the UK in 10 days time. I have 18 mm clearance under an oak beam at the door of my workshop, so it will be a tight fit!

you ordered the machine from ZA ? do you have a link to the supplier please ?

    • @MachiningandMicrowaves
      @MachiningandMicrowaves 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@@carbonmk1 Sorry, I wasn't clear in my explanation there. It came direct from China, but not through the Suez Canal. It took the long route around Africa. I ordered it from SYIL UK.

"with my limited budget ..." 🤣🤣🤣. That made me laugh out loud. I'm looking for a CNC mill around 3000 euro but can't make my mind up as it blows a big hole in my budget and I'm afraid the specs will still be below my desired specs.

I would use a truck that also open on the side. The one that has no roof.
