History lesson…..That basket came from Dresden Ohio. They were made for the Longaberger basket company and I’m sure all of us (crazy collectors) purchased at least one at some point. Mine has been outside in the Texas heat for 20 years and still looks the same🤭😂😂
Wait was that actually a basket? If it was than it was made BY Longaberger. I bought a plastic one meant for outside in Dresden

Thanks for the lamp shade hack. I have been trying to find 2 shades that look tacky and are a weird size for 2 lamps I have. The size does not exists on any web sites. I am going to try the paint. I took a pic of your brush and paint can so I can try this. I hope it looks as good as yours did. I love your ideas. You and Delaney do a great job with the photos and pic of the finished work and each step along the way. GREAT IDEAS and TEACHING us how to just try something new. If it doesn't work-OH WELL!!

Question, what can you do with the basket you painted black that has no bottom? You do awesome work BTW!!!
The last one was my favorite. If you still have that handy and want to make it an even closer dupe, use a little antique gold rub and buff on the brads, and it will match better, and pop against the dark brown more.

All your Pottery Barn dupes are really good. You have quite a creative mind. I love seeing what you're going to come up with next. It's great that the projects are also doable for others, since you don't choose complicated items. I really liked the etched vase, the two stacked boxes and the basket with the leather handles.

Noticed your fingernails are clear not painted or anything can you how do I do that. I mean I don’t. I bought finger nails that you suggested the last time you had them up there and they’re all dark and I don’t like dark nails like that so I gave them to my granddaughter, and I have no idea what to do next. My favorites were 1, 2, 3, 8, and 9. I would have tried using a paste wax on number nine to make it look a bit more like the leather tray from PB. Otherwise, that was such an amazing transformation.
I loved the lamp. I have been scouring the thrift stores for a few weeks looking for a lamp with that girth. Your thrift stores seem to have a lot of good finds! Really enjoyed the video.
Liz, Great look-a-likes! Love sooo many but I plan on recreating the boxes so I'll pick that as my favorite. The basket looks wonderful. A couple of years ago I bought a man's brown leather belt at the thrift store for handles on a similar project. If you added up the money different it's probably a savings of $100.00's. I absolutely adore thrifting videos!!! & - BONUS - DIY of the thrift items! Please do more of these. One of my favorite videos was when your hubby went thrifting for items for you to DIY. For the handles on the basket, you also could removed the wicker ones, purchased a purse @ the thrift store & used the strap to make the handles. Then you would've also had "leather" to cover your tray. You also could've stained the picnic basket to give it a darker color like the PB basket. Still loved all of these!!! Keep it up!

Plain gift boxes can work, too, in creating those Pottery Barn decorative boxes. I keep some on hand just for projects like this. In addition, stores like Burlington and Ross sometimes have those decorative boxes in their home decor section. Remember, the cheap discount stores often have their own dupes of the higher-end product. Tuesday Morning, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Hobby Lobby, etc., will often have a better selection of potentioan "dupes" than the thrift stores AND at more reasonable prices. It might be a few dollars more, but would be about the same amount if you DIYed it.

A tip that I JUST learned is to heat those price tags and any tape with the blow dryer and they come RIGHT OFF. PS POTTERY BARN.
Love the POTTERY BARN dupes, Liz! You really captured all of the little details, such as using the brads on the leather handles on the basket and rounding the edges of the leather. I thought the drip paint technique you did on the bottom of the vases worked brilliantly! The rub and buff gold trinket dish really looks rich and elegant. I think this one is my favorite. Just love watching what you create! So inspiring! Now I want to go and buy some sample paint to have on hand for all of my projects, too!
6, 7 and 9 were my least favorite. All the rest you knocked out of the park! I think painting #7 a darker brown, and doing gold rub and buff on the brads on #9 would have brought them up another level. But good job! Love these videos! :)

I liked the first one - the glass vase. I'm curious if you're considering value when you decide to paint things. I'm on a collecting group and they lament that they find things that have been painted over, like McCoy pottery. Why do you use baking soda? Texture? I'm guessing that paint doesn't hold up very well over time. What is that scraper that you use for the stickers? You can also use cooking oil to melt them off.
A tip for painting inside of the vases, use a small soft sponge to paint it. It's easier to get into the small space.
