I have caught browns on these, and tons of rainbows!! I catch a lot of browns on Lyman lures also. th-cam.com/video/_QrBGUHeXEI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Or1jkwjvfyyVCl3J
@@Fishnmoreoutdoors curious because I fished Paulina without down riggers, and now that I have downtriggers with the wiggle hoochies and killing the bows
Forgetting the net is aweful.....kokanee in my lake in the Cariboo regularly get over 3 pounds with 4 to 5 pounders not uncommon the way they go crazy et the boat
@@Fishnmoreoutdoors I've gotten 5 or 6 that were 7 plus to 10 pounds the last 3 or 4 years too....not commo but they are there....I get big males with some red in August early September BIG
No downriggers I use 9 ft 6 weight flyrods trolling leadcore on big 10/11 flyreels...for faster line pickup....and really good smooth disc drag When the big ones hit the rods bend into the water....lots of play and spring in long flyrods so I stopped using rubber snobbery.....plus every fish over 5lbs would break the snubber relying on the braided backup line I also tie my own hoochies and spin n glow rigs and retie all my bought lures with 12lb mono and size # 1 gamagatsu drops hot hooks....they were bending out #2 and #4 hooks!!
Its fun to watch the head to head videos. Trying to figure out what works best is part of the fun of kokanee fishing. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching, and I’m glad you enjoyed it. Let me know if there is anything specific you want me to test.
Ya gotta love the Ol Yeller Eagle Claw Koke Rod’s
They have been good to me, but I am transitioning to velocity rods. The samurai for dropper rods, and the Ninja for downriggers.
I’ve been noticing that.
Great Informative channel you have.
Cheers from Montana
I use them. I catch when no one on the lake is
Yep! 👍🏻 tight lines!!
How far back are you setting the wiggle from the dodger?
I run my wiggle hoochies 20-40 inches.
Plain hoochies I run 6-8 inches back.
How do these work on Browns?
