Todays DIY lure episode is about my most productive lure for kokanee and trout fishing! The WIGGLE HOOCHIE!
This lure has amazing action and by far the most versatile lure in my tackle box. From small to trophy fish; they just can't get enough of it!

Have you ran them without anything in front of them? I'm guessing a flaher or dodger must affect their action a little, as they are designed to have their own.
I knew a guy who would run a plug behind a gang-troll behind a flasher. I'll be darned if that set-up didn't catch fish. But his rod was always bent so much that it looked like it always had a 10 lb fish on. I think, half the time, he'd pull it in to check it, and it had a fish on for who-knows-how-long.
Yep! I had that same issue before that's why I dont use gang troll anymore unless its attached to a downrigger ball as an attractor only. I want to see the bite and it's also annoying fighting fish with all that drag. Want to fight the fish not the gear.
Also yes I do attach a dodger for lakes and a flasher for ocean.

Octopus hooks suck. You should try split shot hooks. Way better hook up ratios.
