Banks is my favorite character. He takes advantage of every opportunity, only to face numerous setbacks that tested his character. Like Fulton, he’s always on Charlie’s side, even when he’s on the Varsity.
Switching teams didn't look like the best possible path, but it worked out in the end. He played in the Junior Olympics and at Eden Hall. He accomplished goals most young players dream of.
What about portman
He really was. He's the one that cared about the scouts, he trained in the off season, and he made the varsity hockey team. Banks was talented

No wonder Adam Banks was a beast. Kid had Scotty Bowman as a father.
Throughout the entire franchise, I feel kind of bad for Adam. In the first film, he has to switch over to the Ducks because of technicality issues, which the Hawks were a bad influence on him to begin with because his so-called friends abandoned him and got him injured in the final game. In the second film, he injures his wrist and is under pressure to try get noticed by scouts. Then in the last film, he makes the Varsity team, so he basically abandons the Ducks for a bit and struggles under the peer pressure of the Warriors. This kid just wanted to play hockey, but he had to endure a lot of obstacles along the way.
The only one that didn’t make senese was him joining the varsity team. I really like the movie and I love orion but that was a weird decision for him.
@@Cloud-dt6xb Yeah, I hate that he joined the varsity team. He should've stuck with the Ducks. But like I said before, he struggles with peer pressure.
@@lateramae It really made no sense except to once again handicap the ducks, realistically Orion would'nt have put him there Adam would be like on the first line of the freshmen team.But they corrected that at the end so it's not too big of a flaw but I definetly can't ignore it.
@@Cloud-dt6xb I get that Adam was a talented player, but yeah that made me dislike his character for a bit. Especially since he went along with the varsity team's prank on the Ducks where they had to pay for the expensive meal.
In the last movie they ruined the franchise, the change of coach made no sense, Charlie's father-son relationship with Gordon was damaged, all of Adam's progress came to nothing, if it was the end of the saga they had to give it an epic ending and not define a scholarship with another School Hockey team after being world champions. In this last stage I could have given more relevance to characters with Adam and Charlie that would deepen their friendship but they distanced them and limited Adam's appearances while Charlie has a tremendous setback as character in this last installment.
At first, I thought they were all walking out in protest. Then I realized they were just going to the ring. Lol

Aside from everything he went through Adam Banks became the GOAT 🐐 player. He was the best Hawks player in the 1st movie. In D2 he's the one to score the only goal in the first game vs Iceland when the guy injured his wrist. He was the only Duck to make it to Varsity. Other players had their own skills but Adam was the best overall.

I remember being fascinated with the district system they used for their hockey league. And how different it was from rec league sports I played as a kid where we tried out and were picked by coaches and teams

He was forced to switch teams over a technicality, then his new team straight up bullies him. And the ducks are the "good guys" of the movie. This movie is weird on a few levels.
inflago lol. I know all three movies word for word. Go back and rewatch it. To break it down. Adam and his other hulk teammates bullied the ducks in the beginning of the first movie even pushing Dave down in a pile of garbage. When Adam joined the ducks no one bullied him. The only who didn’t like him at first was Jessie Hall he would just insult him. Kind of like you’re on my team now bitch what are you going to do? where’s all that mouth you had before? However, the other ducks had no problems with him. It was only after Adam took a hard hit from behind and was knocked out for bit was when Jessie changed his mind about Adam. Basically because of Adam taking a hit for the team. Adam stopped being ashamed for having to go to the ducks.
Gordon Bombay is a jerk,imagine being seperated from all your friends just cause a lawyer with a drinking problem puts down the bottle for one minute to find a loophole in a Peewee hockey league charter.
That was an asshole move by Bombay. He knew Adam banks was their best player so he finds some way to bring him onto his team. Why? To get back at Reilly? I like coach Bombay but what a jerk move

@@ThreeLions82 No not really, the whole time you're supposed to believe that Andrew Clark was trying to right his record of being a shitty lawyer when his knee went out and ended his wrestling and hockey careers. They had his alias change on him after he moved back home from Illinois to Minnesota when he got over being a hometown failure, so he had to get back at them which he had every right to because of his termination as a lawyer. Thus, Gordon Bombay is a story of vengeance in the fictional sports world and his backstabbing of his prototypical little league coach was completely justifiable.
We should read the rule books about hockey and learn the regulations of teams so we all can understand this move that made Bombay want Adam Banks to join the Ducks. Adam Banks transferred to the ducks due to a technical error of playing on the wrong team and that his house is in the same district of the mighty ducks.
If Bombay would of known that when he was a kid he wouldn't have been playing for the hawks.

I kinda think that Adam was used by Reily and his father on the Hawks because they were a winning team and the District 5 (renamed the Ducks) were a losing team... Before they started winning games.
Why was Gordon allowed to bring in people that hadn't registered to play in the league? People like Fulton for example.
So the real title of First ducks Trilogy was Champions.

It wasn't a technicality it was the rules. Adam should have been with District 5 from the beginning. It was Reilly's job to make sure all of his players were living within district.

@@Aeneiden No, there should have been a hearing with the hockey league board. The situation was a technicality likely caused by an oversight. Adam had also been playing for the hawks for most of the season. Considering the facts, Adam should have been allowed to play for the hawks for the rest of the season, then figure out what they are going to do for the next season. That was a really dirty move for Gordon to exploit a technicality like that.

That was a low blow by coach Gordon. He forced a kid to play for his team because it’s the rules but he didn’t have to say anything. He knew he couldn’t really win without him and he needed him. But I like coach Gordon just that move I didn’t like
You do whatever it takes to win, and in the end they won and we’re all happy.
Gordon also found out before this, that he wasn't even supposed to play for the Hawks when he was a kid cause he lived on District 5.

Averman is the only realistic hockey player in the locker room scene. There are no black hockey players and certainly they wouldn't be team leaders, team captains wouldn't just lay down and welcome the enemy team's best player and captain, and talking shit from the colorful defensemen would be completely expected.
