That's lies..he was exceptionally quick untill he started getting injuries...his days at Barcelona and inter milan there wasnt anyone in world football quicker...the brazilian players like ronaldo, ronaldinho neymar ect all love to party...they say that's why they only hit there peak for a few seasons. Ronaldinho was more flashy..but R9 was the ultimate player. In his peak, R9 was a nightmare for defenders. As everyone said, today there would be no debate about the GOAT if not for those knee injuries. Still he had a career only a few can dream of and still regarded as the best striker of all time.

Ronaldo Fenomeno was closest player to be as good as Pele(greatest dribbler and scorer of all time, MJ is the Pele of the basketball and Pele is the MJ of football.) R9 was no just a Striker, as u can see on this footage, at his prime he could go through 3, 4 or 5 defenders and finish, things that Cristiano Ronaldo could only dream, CR9 is a pure striker, try to find one video of cr9 going through a few defenders or going through the goalkeeper to finish, u probably wont find, because he always finish before trying to dribble the goalkeeper, now the real R9? u gonna find hundreds of videos of him going through the goalkeeper and finishing it with a goal, Ronaldinho, Romario and Messi also have some like that too.

  • @justlooking1087
    @justlooking1087 2 ปีที่แล้ว +118

Some of the differences between the two were a result of their position on the pitch. R9 was a striker (a number 9) so he was much more direct than Ronaldinho, and that shows in his goal scoring record. Even though he was a tricky player, his main objective was to beat his man and go straight for goal. Dinho on the other hand, was an attacking midfielder (a number 10), a 10’s role is to sit in the hole, link up play and use your skills to create chances and go for goal when the opportunity presents itself. He was a playmaker, that’s why he was less direct and played with a bit more flair.

    • @giovannigio3764

Ronaldo (R9) was no striker. He could be found and was very good on CVM, RM, CM, CAM, LM, RW, CA, ST and LW. And they where allready scared when he did get the ball at CVM so they made a lot of fouls on him. He was allround so he was sometimes also a playmaker.

I am a Real Madrid supporter and Ronaldinho got standing ovation from Real Madrid supporters after he destroyed real madrid in the Real Madrid's stadium.
And R9 played for rival teams like..
    AC Milan and Inter Milan
    Barcelona and Real Madrid
Yet he is the most loved striker.
One common thing about both R9 and R10 is they are they were more of a natural talented players... They didn't used to follow strict diet, they are party animals and they were a bit alcoholic...not like current professional footballers (no disrespect.. i love both of them).

Dear brothers ... love the R9 reaction videos...
& you guys on point ...R10 was the ultimate entertainer but R9 talent wise is the GOAT... his tragic injuries killed his career mate from being even greater than it already is and he lost at least
4-5 yrs of his top prime ...
Not to mention the lost Of his explosive pace and the ability to develop even further and so on due to the inability to play , do moves and practice as he would normally
    Ps. According to test from
Inter, he could do the 100m in 10:2 seconds without the ball and yet everyone knows he ran faster with the ball than without it... & abit of context Usain Bolt ran 100 m in 9:80 seconds in one Olympics & 4 years later did it in 9:50 seconds in another Olympics
Just goes to show the ability of the body to beat boundaries and develop optimal ability .. so whose to tell what would Have happened to R9 if he didn’t get those injuries at 22..... another fun fact , R9 was Messi’s hero growing up

11:40 yeh that's one of the advanced levels, knowing at all times where the ball is/will be, similar to Rodman with Rebounds, its about learning how to do moves correct , but also knowing what happens when they go wrong so you can make them work if you mess it up a bit, Peeps like R9 and R10 have that to a crazy level, Luis Suarez, played with a similar "quality" for Liverpool, he would lose control and end up with the ball right at his feet as if by magic (it aint magic its an emergent quality of his play)

Messi is Goat Cristiano just behind him but my heart dont let me tell these 2 better than Ronaldo he was that good. Back in day Serie A by far the best league bigger than PL right now all the legends was there and combined with Italian defensive toughness and tactics there was no match for it and when Ronaldo joined Inter he humiliated all the great teams and legendary players looked like high schoolers even though you dont anything about football you can tell he was the best player by miles. His second knee injury probably the most hearthbreaking injury in whole sport history and even after all the injuries he lead Brazil to World Cup glory scored every game but against England match at quarter finals then transferred to Real Madrid had trouble with weight gaining illness due to hormones production he was still the best player in that Galacticos team amongst with all the legends like Zidane Figo Raul Carlos Casillas

  • @EricAsante-xb7jz

Its R9. The reason is, R9 was playing like a playmaker and at the same time striker...So HE DOESN'T NEED ONLY TO FIND SPACE AND BE JUX MOVING AROUND THE PITCH with dribbles and skills to create chances- ( LIKE THE WORK OF AN ATTACKING MIDFIELDER, RONALDINHO).....He is to score at the same time...That's why he needs to cut some flairs and directly move with the ball towards the goal post...So R9 was too efficient in playing that 2 positions.. SOMETIMES HE EVEN ASSIST HIMSELF AND SCORE AT THE SAME TIME...And therefore, R9 needs to attack his opponents with all his qualities; speed, strength, dribbling, skills, accelerate, and all the IQ which is needed to calculate and beat defenders and goalkeepers BEFORE HE SCORES...So for me R9's duty was not to be playing like Ronaldinho taking the whole field for his finest play...So what R9 did was exceptional .Even though Messi is the best player, BUT I ALWAYS SEE R9 to be the God of football... simply bcos "GENERATIONS CAN NEVER BE COMPARED"...How i wish CR7 was born in R9's generation jux to see how CR7 sees R9 as to who the original Ronaldo is...R9 IS THE GREATEST PLAYER I HAVE EVER SEEN...His impact on the game was too different....
I REMEMBER I SHOWED R9's videos to my old friends jux to let them see if they still remember him in his hey days....What these friends said was that, "IF THERE WERE SPORTS BETTING IN DURING THAT 90's, they would had collapsed all betting companies, by CHOOSING R9 to be a goalscorer in every game...😂😂😂😂

its normal in football to start in your local club at the age of 5. The system itself differs a lot from the US, clubs are not attached to schools more so private and local. YOu play there with your buddys and If you have talent you either get scouted by a bigger team or apply to test sessions hosted by bigger clubs.

Even we had in the spanish league also another brilliant brazilian striker who played for Barcelona just 2 years before, Romario, but "Ronnie" was in another level. Even after Italy era, when he came back to play in the Real Madrid and he had his knees problems and also his thyroid problem, that makes him to gain weight easily, he still was so great. I think he could have been the best ever and even so he is in my top5 all time.

Please react to Sunderland 'Til I Die.
It's a short tv series documenting Sunderland Football Club and their struggle with relegation. Sunderland used to be a staple in the English Premier League (best league in the world), they have tons of history, some of the most passionate fans, a proper football club, but relegation really fucked them up. It's a really good show with exclusive behind the scenes footage of the club and shows the true weight and tragedy of being relegated. It really shows how relegation can affect not just the club itself but also the city of Sunderland and its community. Truly heartbreaking to watch and might help you have a better grasp of football.
