My 2 cents. Currency depends on confidence and perception. The government is unwilling to make changes that would improve either preferring an exploitable condition of corruption and violence and unequal enforcement of law. I think some very small changes would cause a big change to the economy. Hopefully there is leadership willing to do so soon.
