2018's brilliant Black Panther movie has undoubtedly cemented itself as one of the best comic book movies of all time - period - and it's been rewarded with a worldwide gross of almost one-and-a-half billion dollars to date.
A hell of a lot of work and time went into making the epic and groundbreaking Marvel Studios offering - and we're going to take a look at just some of what went on behind the scenes.
These behind the scenes secrets will change how you watch Black Panther - and the secrets in question are; the 3000 prosthetic dots that were applied to Michael B. Jordan, the entirely CGI rhinos created by referencing footage of rhinos found online, Nakia's green dress in the brilliant casino scene was actually 3D-printed to suit Lupita Nyong'O's body, Kendrick Lamar chose to do the whole soundtrack after seeing the movie and being impressed by it, how Wakanda was created, how Warrior Falls was created, how the Black Panther suit was created, how some of the various combat and action scenes were shot and perfected, the rap battles that took place between certain cast members between takes, and the push-ups challenge that was born from a bet between two actors on the movie's set.

At first I was pissed, because Chadwick Boseman literally just died a few days ago, then I realized this video was made 2 years ago, and not recently in honor of his passing like I originally thought.
I still can't believe he made this movie and so many others while secretly fighting cancer and going to treatments for it, and still finding the time and energy to visit kids in hospitals. He was a true legend.
Rest in peace Chadwick, the one and only Black Panther...

The thing is, is that we don't really KNOW what Marvel will do. Most likely, they'll recast T'Challa and have that actor headline Black Panther 2, but there is a possibility that Marvel will instead pass Black Panther to Shuri, although still possibly recasting T'Challa for a few scenes to explain his MCU reason for passing the mantle to Shuri.
Honestly, I hope they pass the mantle to Shuri because Chadwick Boseman did such an amazing job as T'Challa. He only had one Black Panther movie, and 3 other appearances in MCU movies (Civil War, Infinity War, and Endgame), all filmed in between surgeries and after he had already been diagnosed with cancer. He really made that role his own, and I want Disney/Marvel to honor him by "retiring" T'Challa, and only recasting him for an extremely minimal amount of scenes.
But, that is also a reason TO recast the character, because T'Challa was barely even in the MCU, and the character himself deserves to have a bigger involvement in the MCU, and to tell more stories about him. The massive box-office of Black Panther shows that we want more, so Disney/Marvel have to decide how to give us more: by completely recasting T'Challa, or by passing the mantle to Shuri.
I watched the movie and loved it. Now that Chadwick has passed, I'm looking for every video he might be in. Sad. RIP to this incredible actor.
