Tracy Lawrence is one of the Best in Country Music....he is under-rated and deserves much more fame then he gets ...real country songs and you can't help but listen, think, and cry ....you can identify with his music....Thank-you Travcy Lawrence for the great music 🎶
This song is very touching. I think that one message that it sends is how precious life is and how fast life goes by. I think that this song emphasizes the message how precious life is and how important it is to love the people in your life. I lost my dad to cancer 12 years ago. I can still feel his presence and remember all of the good times we had. He also taught me a lot about responsibility
This song has always been one of my favorite songs by Tracy Lawrence. The lyrics to this song are so true and meaningful and they hit me hard in the feels every time I hear it because they remind me of many experiences and dealings with my loved ones when I was growing up.
What a great song, it reminds me of my father and the exact things he said to me as a young man... Ty Tracy, and to my father who taught me right from wrong. Miss you Dad...
Sorry for your loss 😢 Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. He's always with you and He loves you. Love you. May God bless you in the almighty name of Yeshua ha'Moshiach, amen ❤
I was bringing my father's ashes home from Mesa, AZ with my cousin back home to Bismarck, North Dakota last February. The radio was never on. We talked liked a brother and sister the whole time. It was so sad to see a lone cow in the middle of no where in a field and a cat, when we were gassing up in a small town in New Mexico that we knew the cat's days were numbered, no one loved this precious cat.... Dad's ashes in the back seat. It definitely was a blessed trip. I will forever see that lonely cow in the middle of nowhere and that precious cat that someone should have loved and taken care of.
I think the 90’s was the best decade for country music. Alan Jackson, Travis Tritt, Tracy Lawrence and George Strait. What makes country great? Talented people who can really sing,Steel guitars and cowboy hats.
One of my very favorite TL songs. You don't realize just how many hits he had until you look back at them. He was right up there with George Strait and Alan Jackson. Sticks and Stones hit it big and he never looked back. Nice career.
+oldenmcgroen Yes he has had so many great songs and hits. I don't think he gets the respect, currently, that he deserves. Oh well. He is a wonderful performer.
oldenmcgroen Yeah he was arguably one of the top 10 male country singers of the 90's, maybe even top 5. The main difference between TL and Strait/Jackson though is that he didn't have many more hits after the 90's for whatever reason.
Misty Dobbins omg girl you said it..I miss those days so much.I loved the hair bands too.but, the country was awesome..not like today..I've finally got my 12 year old nephew listening to all the old good stuff.
Has anyone noticed that Tracy Lawrence sounds a whole lot like Keith Whitley. I had never really noticed til one day I was listening to both back to back. And they are both awesome singers
I never had a 'daddy' i had a step-dad that didnt know the first thing about bein a real man - let alone a Dad.~ when i hear Lessons Learned it reminds me, to be so very damn thankful that i made sure that my daughter didnt have those kinds of Lessons Learned.
I was ten years old the day I got caught With some dime store candy that I never bought I hung my head and I faced the wall As daddy showed me wrong from right He said this hearts me more than it does you There's some things son that you just don't do Is anythings I'm sayin getting through Is daddy I can see the light Oh lessons learned, man they sure run deep They don't go away and they don't come cheap Oh there's no way around it 'Cause this world turns on lessons learned ******** Granddaddy was a man I loved He bought me my first ball and glove Even taught me how to drive this truck Circling that ol' town square He spoke of life with a slow southern drawl I never heard him, 'cause I knew it all But I sure listened when I got the call That he was no longer there Oh lessons learned, man they sure run deep They don't go away and they don't come cheap Oh there's no way around it 'Cause this world turns on lessons learned ********* Oh lessons learned, man they sure run deep They don't go away and they don't come cheap Oh there's no way around it 'Cause this world turns on lessons learned....

This song caused me to listen to my grandfather more, and I remembered this song when I got the call that he was no longer there
I was ten years old the day I got caught
With some dime store candy that I never bought
I hung my head and I faced the wall
As daddy showed me wrong from right
He said this hearts me more than it does you
There's some things son that you just don't do
Is anythings I'm sayin getting through
Is daddy I can see the light
Oh lessons learned, man they sure run deep
They don't go away and they don't come cheap
Oh there's no way around it
'Cause this world turns on lessons learned
********
Granddaddy was a man I loved
He bought me my first ball and glove
Even taught me how to drive this truck
Circling that ol' town square
He spoke of life with a slow southern drawl
I never heard him, 'cause I knew it all
But I sure listened when I got the call
That he was no longer there
Oh lessons learned, man they sure run deep
They don't go away and they don't come cheap
Oh there's no way around it
'Cause this world turns on lessons learned
*********
Oh lessons learned, man they sure run deep
They don't go away and they don't come cheap
Oh there's no way around it
'Cause this world turns on lessons learned....
