The bathroom fight scene and the few seconds at the end where the sun made it look like the bomb actually went off were amazing scenes. This was by far my favorite in the franchise, even if they reuse a few too many things in each movie.

This was the best of the franchise. Had me gripped to the screen from the start till the end, and the white screen fade out towards the end? Fuck, they almost had me believing the nuke detonated. Sincerely hope to see more movies like these, less cgi and a great story.

And yeah, everyone had enough screen time, except poor Cap. After Civil war, he deserved more. 8,2/10. While Fallout was a real masterpiece. Tom Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson and Henry Cavill gave one of their best performances. Amazing cinematography with no CGI(except when they swapped the Arabian desert with Downtown Paris), a cool score by Lorne Balfe, and the masterful direction of Chris McQuarrie. 8,7/10.

Not true . I turned it off when they lost the plutonium, that was just stupid, started again and nearly turned it off again for when benji doesn't hear Elsa screaming and doesn't check his corner so lane gets the drop, but, the movie turned out to be fkn amazing so it redeemed itself

Other things that bother me a lot (in all action movies actually) is some glitches like 5 guys shooting at the protagonist and not a single bullet hits him or people being unnecessarily and inexplicably merciful, besides all the insane convenience, like, they are always at the right place at the right time.
C'mon, there should've been at least a few sins removed for the bathroom fight. No quick cuts, no shaky camera movements, no music- just pure, raw physical struggle between characters that felt so real and authentic. We rarely get action scenes like that nowadays. Also, just Tom Cruise's dedication alone is worth at least a sin off.

That's actually pretty impressive, considering other movies like Suicide Squad 2016 and Black Widow got similar treatment but this one ended up better the best out of them.
I'm not surprised. The plot was a mess, and also relied mostly on "exposition" (i.e. characters telling us what happens). The scene with Angela Bassett and Henry Cavill on the square across the Eiffel Tower (which was clearly filmed during the editing phase of production) takes the cake.

Sin 82: Lane doesn't have more guns or ammo during that helicopter chase. Why were guns there anyway? If it's his helicopter, it should have like rocket launchers. If it's a medical helicopter, there shouldn't be guns in the first place. Sin 83: Lane's helicopter doesn't notice one of their helicopters break formation and is trying to get on top. I mean, did they not notice the shadow? Sin 84: The medical helicopter doesn't release its payload, despite it not having a single reason to keep it there Sin 85: Benji and who I think is Ilsa don't decide to look inside on the X-ray or MRI devices, despite knowing that the bombs could be hidden in inside the devices, like with the radio tower

That's actually pretty impressive, considering other movies like Suicide Squad 2016 and Black Widow got similar treatment but this one ended up better the best out of them.
I'm not surprised. The plot was a mess, and also relied mostly on "exposition" (i.e. characters telling us what happens). The scene with Angela Bassett and Henry Cavill on the square across the Eiffel Tower (which was clearly filmed during the editing phase of production) takes the cake.

@@braedenl1503 Fallout is leagues better for sure (it's my second favourite movie of 2018), but that TLJ scene really was something else. Personally I liked TLJ, but it is no mystery to me why nobody else seems to - it has a _lot_ of flaws

I remember seeing this in theaters and reflexively yelling out Sudden Wes Bentley and about five people laughed.
The scenes of the movie during the opening is a call back to the TV series (Yes, Mission:Impossible was an American TV show in the 60s and 70s). It's not much of a spoiler since it's out of sequence and no real way to follow it or remembering it the first time watching it.

Sin 81: Ethan not only deciding that ramming his helicopter into another is the best way to stop it, but he gained enough distance, and survived, which is hard to believe given that the tail of the helicopter smashed though Ethan's windshield?
Sin 82: Lane doesn't have more guns or ammo during that helicopter chase. Why were guns there anyway? If it's his helicopter, it should have like rocket launchers. If it's a medical helicopter, there shouldn't be guns in the first place.
Sin 83: Lane's helicopter doesn't notice one of their helicopters break formation and is trying to get on top. I mean, did they not notice the shadow?
Sin 84: The medical helicopter doesn't release its payload, despite it not having a single reason to keep it there
Sin 85: Benji and who I think is Ilsa don't decide to look inside on the X-ray or MRI devices, despite knowing that the bombs could be hidden in inside the devices, like with the radio tower
