Then Mingyi tries to make Han Derang feel guilty for not wanting to stay & support him after the betrayal. And he expects Yanyan to give him her heart, when he completely betrayed their friendship. He may have been a wise ruler, but he was a horribly selfish and untrustworthy person. That's why I'm glad that Yanyan never gave him her heart; only her body & brain! He didn't deserve her heart and he knew that!
Oh ...man. this episode made me cry so hard. The king did not betray Han Derang till the end of his life. Thank you! 😍😍😍 There's good morality with this drama. The King, reminded his kids to live by good mortality. Xiyin told his kid to seek revenge, and ended up being killed.

Xiyin:Same as Yansage: he realized what was most important too late and he lost his son and wife for power. On another note, I'm glad that the Emperor, in the end, never forgot that Yanyan and Derang were still in love with each other and confessed that he forced Yanyan to stay by his side and finally let YanYan follow her heart and bring them both together. I love the last scene where Derang arrived like a knight to save his queen and his love and the relieved face of the little emperor ... I wonder what will happen to the concubine and her son. I think maybe Yanyan will adopt him ... Derang's father who dies at the same time as the Emperror is fate, he was faithful to the emperor to the end just like his son.😢💖

I was upset from watching trailers only but it seems Mingyi had Yanyans devotion and love eventually just she was overwhelmed with national affairs. Mister Steal Ya Girl was such a survivor. Like him surviving all the homies who tried to kill his ill ass is the BEST part of this.

I don't know why but Xiyin and his sons death still made me sad Xiyin was a power grabbing shit but no parent should have to see their child die. It's so frustrating to feel this way cause I've hated him in this series. Even more sad was Wuguli was to passive and lost in her love for her husband to do anything to stop him. They were doomed from the start.

of course no parent deserves it but the problem was from the start xiyin never love for his wife was not genuine if you watch from the start he was only after his ambition , that is hoe any foul play normally ends though.
