Cracking vid and VERY helpful for someone getting back into RC after some 15 years. Looking at The Traxxis Xmas for a joint present for my son and I. I think the parts are available in Germany too? I've noted some machines on a spreadsheet that someone with your experience gives a mention is priceless ! potentially saving tears and long term problems. I expect my lad to break things as part of the hobby but not the whole unit and not often when paying a few hundred buck, ponds or Euros. Due to the comments below (thanks all) I'll look at Arma and maybe save a few Euros. Thx again! rcnighmare AND to all of you posting sensible comments below. Finally rcnightmare, you could set up just a voting system with different links for different brands with a short few works "Click Thumbs up if you are an Arma fan" links from this vid?

I own all Traxxas models. Not because they are the best but simply when things go wrong, they've taken care of me every time. Puffy traxxas battery? Been replaced. Broken parts on a new Ford GT and local shops don't have the parts? Traxxas replaced them. Random receiver problem on one of my spartan boats and it won't bind anymore? Traxxas sent one out no questions asked. With me owning quite a few of traxxas's products, I can go to any hobby store around any area and 99.9% of the time those stores carry most if not all the parts needed for traxxas products. That's why I continue to buy and run traxxas models is their customer service and just over all great products.
My Traxxas models had esc issues after 14 days and Traxxas wouldn’t do anything also had rear diff issues still nothing. Couple friends also had warranty issues that Traxxas wouldn’t do anything about. Hpi and thunder tiger I had great warranty experience with even after a year of having the rc
For bashing, go arrma. Traxxas has so many great things, and I don't hate traxxas. They just have a lot of things that are petty problems. Ahem, 2075 servos, faulty VXL esc's, etc. Traxxas cars are made and designed to be upgraded to be as good as other company's stock stuff. Don't get me wrong, traxxas is great, but a lot of the time, I find myself saying "ugh, come on traxxas. Really? You can do better than this..."
If you want fast and reliable I would say the traxxas rustler vxl tsm for about 280$ I would also get the traxxas easy peak battery pack for like 100$ there website is very easy to navigate
I've owned traxxas, tamiya, mst, team magic, and exceed. Being from a country that doesn't manufacture rc's, I can see american brands are made for the american owner: not scaled indestructible stuff , and asian brands are made for the asian owner: scaled good looking stuff not meant for hard bashing. I love cars in general, real ones, rcs', computer generated ones, scale models, games, and so on. I like lookings, realism, scale, details, so I'm closer to tamiya, mst, yokomo. For example, real monster trucks run on solid axles, but that's pretty rare in the rc world. From my limited knowledge in marketing, every brand has its own direction to serve a particular niche of the rc world. They will find their way to profit by acquiring a 'small or big set of the cake' and making them happy. Quantities sold do not mean profit. So which brand of rc is the best for me? Tamiya, but recently got an MST CFX which has me thinking ;)
Going to get nailed for this but being on a budget I've been bashing and racing redcat sc for a year and I love it. Most expensive part I've had to replace is worn drive cups and a center spur. I admit the servo saver does come loose as well as the front turnbuckles but both issues are easily fixed. Any issue I've had usually can be fixed with longer screws, adding nuts or some loctite.
I've owned about a dozen different RC products from drones to short course trucks to crawlers and bashers. My all time favorite is the Traxxas Summit. The thing never breaks, tons of upgrades and replacement parts available, it's quick enough to do some general bashing, but you can get technical and do crawling with it too. There is no other vehicle quite like the Summit. Yes it's expensive. But in my opinion, well worth the money.
Tekno rc, My opinion. Is the best quality out there. it is light and durable. you can throw this truck off the cliff and would not break. and that is stock. it handles amazing. but your laying down a lot of money. for $500. the arrma outcast is a beast. or the arrma kratan. bro. they are so durable.
So there is racing RC's and scale RC's but are there any other niches? I'm about 5 years into custom building RC's from scratch and wondering what else I can take inspiration from.
I started with Traxxas and love the parts availability, along with customer support. Right now I'm into Losi. I think whatever you are having fun with at the time, is the best brand.
I'll put my arrma kraton up against any traxxas to the death. Look up a guy rich duberbash on youtube. Shreckanator, your traxxas junk wouldn't last a day bashing with him !!!
Arrma Kraton is the best basher under $500. You literally can't dispute this as it's a fact. Just got done today at a monster truck competition with a long jump. I won the long jump on 6s stock pinon on Badlands. Took the jump 6 times with no damage. Just another bash session this arrma has blown my mind. It does Everytime. And I've had many slash 4x4s. You would put at least $800 total into a slash to get the metal, aluminum, and quality components this had for $500 out of the box. All you really need to upgrade is wheels and servo stuff. GTG. And Slash's are good little bashers. They are just not worth the 💰 anymore with better products at lower prices.
Way back when, I had a Marui Big Bear 4x4 truck and an MRC Tamiya Grasshoper among others. I always loved to build my own. Do they still have good rc cars today that you build, or are they all already built?
I prefer HoBao! was the supplier for Ofna. They have great customer service. eshop in Virginia and are very durable! I have Hyper MT. I also have the Tekno MT410 kit. Truck is very very durable. Handles like a buggy and truggy and can even be raced with a buggy and truggy. Tekno is costly but they are #1 for bashing or even racing. all of their vehicles are Awesome
I've owned a few brands. And from a racing perspective I've found Xray and Team Associated have been good to me. Xray kits have always assebled and fitted together really well, and AE have always had great parts support.
TLR and associated win at the track. Arrma and traxxas are the top two basher brands. I hate traxxas (although i have some of their goodies) and i dislike any other brand but TLR (lol not really). The off brands are getting far larger and they are all garbage, bad parts support and terrible quality. Since I work at a hobby shop, i get a ton of people who drive traxxas who come in and some guys who drive team associated. If you want a "beginner basher", go with traxxas. If you want a "pro" basher, i highly suggest an arrma vehicle. If you want to race, its a toss up between associated and losi. I believe that losi has the edge on associated in the market and on the track after the release of the 22 4.0. Associated also makes some good cars, but i feel as if they just slowly copied the losi cars. They moved from a plastic chassis to an aluminum chassis, when losi came out with it years before associated. Associated looks so good right now because they have a better driver network than losi does, since TLR was formed decades after associated. Over time, I can see TLR getting as good or better than associated. Thats my $.02 about the market
Z.A.K. RC the tekno mt410 is the most durable monster truck basher on the market. just a fact. based on the indestructible buggy. tekno is bombproof. no other brand is really even close.
When I was a kid, teen years I was all team associated especially because I'm from Costa Mesa CA, but now that I just got back into the hobby and I bought the Redcat Rampage R5 1/5th scale and it shits on every rc I've ever had, I might be pro redcat. The reason I bought it is cause I wanted a 5th scale, I actually wanted a kraton 8s but it wasn't important enough to me that I was gonna spend $900.00 on it, so I got the R5 because supposedly it was a dud and would fall apart cause of a no lock tight issue so they were recalled and are selling on ebay, rtr for $495.00 with $35.00 for shipping, I hit buy it now, paid and went to home depot and bought lock tight, it arrived and I didn't lock tight a thing, nothing fell apart and the thing does 63 mph on asphalt and is an absolute beast, I'm so glad I didn't go with the kraton 8s because I destroy my buddies kraton 8s when we race and any time we collide my r5 just completely rides over top of his krapton, oops I meant kraton, So I guess I'm a redcat fan, that is until the Ryno Racing STA (Stronger Than All) 1:5 scale comes out, haha! I might really do it soon, Ryno Manufacturing is my machine shop and I have machines that are normal for the Aerospace and Dept of Defense contract manufacturer industries but for the RC hobby grade manufacturer industry my machines are Gnarly and would be excessive if that's all someone bought them to implement for support in building RC cars, that being said, if I do it the current brands might have to re-invent themselves, either that or the STA will be a specialty high dollar item
i have a 4x4 Ruckus Monster Truck 110 which is giving me All sorts of problems and i don't know why clean it after Every run had new gear pinon put in it 3 days ago truck is less then 4 months. old i ran it this morning ran great went to go Run it this afternoon now it runs like shit New motor 3300kv Tazer Motor and 5000mAh 50c 7.4 Battery with 5000mAh 100c 7.4 on its way could it be something stuck in the motor or the wires i just don get it pissing me off big time!!!
I was always a racer, so for me, Team Associated was always my brand of choice. On-Road was my main discipline, so the RC10L was my weapon of choice. AR just always had the best network of local sponsored racers, not to mention THE BEST distribution. Every hobby shop I ever walked into was always chock full of Associated parts. I stopped racing around 2001, which was mostly Nitro (since the electric scene had died around here), and I was running Serpent. Fast forward almost 20 years later, and I’m looking to get back in. Off road seems to be all the rage again, and if I go that route, I’ll probably stick with AE... but the competition is fierce, with European companies like XRay and Serpent offering products across all disciplines, and all scales. Man, what a decision... I’ve got an on-road track that runs 1/10 and 1/8th Nitro pretty much exclusively, so I might start off with the Serpent 750 Natrix (Serpent America is in my backyard) - local support should be good, given it’s the hometown favorite... We’ll see though. What happened to this channel? You get out of the hobby, or is TheQuartering taking up too much of your time? It surprised me to see you on an RC channel, lol.
Hey, I am Siddhant. I am from India. I and my friend make RC planes of around 30lbs or something. We are also in a same position where we are confused which servo brand to choose from? Last year I worked with HobbyKing servo HK15228A, this year I am planning to Upgrade to better servos. We are stuck between Fuaba/Hitec/Tower pro servos? Can you help me? My budget for one servo is around $15
I just got my first RC truck, it's the ECX Ruckus 1/18th scale, for my opinion I love ECX products. But I'm going t get another one, I want to get a short course truck that's a 1/10 scale. I'm looking at the traxxas slash vxl, one from team associated and the torment from ECX. I need help to witch brand has the best affordable short course 1/10 truck for around $200-$399
team redcat/redcat!! i own the trmt 10e, terremoto 10, everest 10 and be6s. hands down better stock especially on 3s and durability than my stampede vxl 4x4, brushless 2wd pde and my axial yeti all of which needed to be heavily upgraded. the price point and what you get from redcat is amazing. the product support was great from each company.
I like Traxxas because there is TONS of possible upgrade and replacement parts available and comparability is easy. Also customer support is awesome. I have a Stampede 4X4VXL, Slash 4X4 brushless, and another Stampede 4x4VXL for my 8yo son who LOVES it!
I just got back into RC after 20 yrS and a RC10 2wd buggy with truck tires & body-I won a lot & HAD SO MUCH FUN!! I bought a 4wd Ultimate Slash to race & bash. I started bashing & don't even want to race or truthly deal with ALL the rules! Bashing is u your buddies and a lot of laughs/fun! So now it's time for some 1/8 Buggy wheels and that purdy JConcepts BAJR DESERT BODY!😁 Traxxas customer service, parts/upgrade availability has made me a fan! Super nice people in RC now I was very suprised, not a fan of people in general. Traxxas, AMain Hobbies, AKAracing, Tower Hobbies, the people making all these damn awesome/informative TH-cam videos and both local hobby shops Thank You for making the hobby even more ENJOYABLE! PROPS to ya ALL!
Traxxas XD, for their unrelevent patents, which they use for sueing concurrency, and because they use 20yo chassis technology. The deal of Traxxas is parts support and upgrades because you need spares and upgrades with traxxas.
25 years ago my truck was a kyosho and the last 10 years I came back to RC and got an hpi savage and I was in love!!! Now I've got many different makes and kyosho again but traxxas for me was to weak.
Wouldn't choose a product by brand. Each product should be be reviewed as a individual product, so you are correct! I have a team magic e5 and a hobao hyper St. I might get a tekno mt410 next, that's looks really solid.
For 1/10 racing I choose team associated because of how easy their cars are to work on, the parts availability is great, and there are set up sheets from team drivers. For 1/8 racing I will choose tekno because of the durability of their products. For bashing I choose Traxxas just for the fact of parts support and upgradability. I do want to try arrma though because I have heard their 8th scales are awesome.
I run traxxas for bashing and axial for trails. the main reason for these two is parts support both online and local hobby store. I'm looking at arrma but not sold just yet.
For me it has to be Arrma 1/8 line, tough as nails. They have been killing it this year with all there releases. I also had a dhk zombie and was very impressed with it for a cheep rc, well worth the buy.
I am mixed between several brands based on certain models. Traxxas Revo, HPI wr8 Flux, Team Associated; several models in this brand, Losi SC race platform, Ofna several models in this brand as well, Redcat after having a Loctite party.
I do not race nor do I really do any hardcore 'bashing'. I'm just a guy who enjoys going out to a dirt field (or a parking lot) and having fun. With that said, my 2 favorite brands are Kyosho and Tamiya - especially the retro kits. To me, buying a RTR takes half the fun away of proudly building it yourself and watching it run. Also, you learn the kit inside out and when there is a problem, you know exactly how to fix it =) IMHO, the armma and traxxas vehicles just lack 'charm' and 'personality'. Not knocking those who love these manufacturers, just a personal opinion =) Currently, I have a Kyosho Optima, Scorpion, Tomahawk, a Tamiya M-05 and Sand Scorcher...No, these won't win any competitions but I love them for what they are.
Team associated for me. The best part support for racing great reliability and slightly cheaper than the other big racing brands i have a rc8b3e and its a absolute tank and its competitive i also have a b6d and its never let me down now i currently looking into getting a touring car so ill like get one of the tc7 variants
I have been a bit curious about the Arrma Outcast as a basher, but since that brand is not readily available in Norway, to my knowledge, I will stick by Traxxas, for the parts support.
When i used to race stadium trucks i had the rc10gt. And on the track you either had an rc10gt or a losi xxx-nt. I have always thought traxxas was junk and i recently got back jnto rc and bought the traxxas trx4 to have fun with and i am very impressed and have been looking into all of their models to see what my next one will be. Either a summit or stampede 4x4. I honestly wish i had gave traxxas a closer look a long time ago
I love my summit I've had very few problems with it. The stampede is good one too, really can't go wrong with whatever one you choose. The part's for both of these models are found at every hobby shop I've ever been in also. Have fun!!
my first car was a Duratraxx Evader Bx Nitro it was a cheap good car had it 8 yrs i just receantly got a Traxxas 4tec 2.0 i love it plus its electric the nitros i dont miss the tuning the carbator..
I just recently gave up land rcing for boating RC (m41 & spartan). But I'd like to say that Redcat Racing is the underdog so far. If you're looking for something cheap that goes fast and still has a decent amount of parts I think its them.
Traxxas, but as you say, its because of the part support. I own the stampede 4x4 and i love it. Put the mxl6s and a 2650kv castle motor in it and upgraded to the max. And its a beast on 4s lipo. Beside the stampede i have the erevo en summit en the 1:16 ones. The 1:16 one are great but i think you need upgrades for it to bash it hard. The erevo brushles edition is in mine opinion the same. Great car but for 700 800 bucks you still need to upgrade the plastic drive line. I dont own a arrma truck but for what i see, there making great products fot a great price. Maybe my next truck is an arrma after i buy the traxxas trx4😜
I like traxxas cause the parts are super easy to get and when I've had electronics go wrong, the customer service is awesome and have always fixed my stuff, often for free
I own almost every Traxxas out... My favorite is the Traxxas E-Revo 2.0... I had a friend come over with a JLB 120 amp extreme edition and damn that thing is fast. His wing and wheelie bar broke off. If you get a Traxxas E-Revo 2.0 I recommend adding a wheelie bar...With a wheelie bar this thing is a monster. 2nd favorite is the Traxxas slasher 4x4 ultimate...
i ran traxxas rustler and stampede over 20 years ago for bashers and i recently got back in to it and they are great. found the first rc buggy i built from ofna wanted to rebuild it but that company went out of buisness so stick to where you can get the parts forever aka traxxas
1987 I got my first car by mom. Kyosho turbo optima. Then it cost $ 230 !! Without motor and transmitter. Totally sick considering what the cars cost today. :) drove for a few years, later the girls took over and brought me to the dark side. haha :) but in 2009 I took up my hobby again. And then it was tamiya that was the best! After which i like scale cars! Later it became traxxas, maybe expensive in purchasing, but cheaper parts, and there was good access to parts. And is still there. Both of my children have some traxxas cars, such as mini e-revo summit slash. Also has 1.10 e-revo / summit. Two funny cars are running hard with
In my opinion and of course where i race, schumacher is by far the best so far. Yeah there are cars that are more durable and better supported at tracks, but for me and performance it was always schumacher
Ofna Hoboa Buggy, Arrma Talion Truggy etc., Team Associated etc. Lipo electric rules, charge and go real fast. Enjoy life while you can . Just buy what makes you happy ,because you are the one that will be working and maintaining the vehicle. Right!!!!!!!
I would choose traxxas simply because it’s what my hobby shop handles the majority of the time and they just have almost every traxxas model that you can find online aside from online only discounts Edit: I also enjoy arrma they have had really pretty body’s
I would say the TRL stuff is pretty good right now one of the TRL ready to run truggy nitrous haven't had any problems with it wish I would have bought the kit because I've upgraded everything
Also had Savage Flux and it was nothing but trouble. So much fun when it worked but always gave be trouble and wasn’t even hard on it. Traxxas has some very good ones but a lot of their stuff just looks boring. But the E Revo VXL is lots of fun.
My first car was an RC10 Gold pan 1993/4 ... then I went to the RC10GT a few years later ... when I was a kid Traxxas was a bad word but 25+ years later I want Maxx because I’m old and lazy now and I just want to drive more than fix
DHK MAXIMUS damn near all aluminum out the box. electrics when i had one ??? chasis was killer. new one supposed to be water resistant, plus up from 80 to 120 esc. Bought a traxxas e maxx. parts avalibilty. 3 weeks for dhk. still want another...😎😎😎
I love Kyosho , HPI and Losi , i had alot of problems with Trazzas specialy E-revo gear , i have now Kyosho mad force monster car , kyosho scorpion xxl ve 😍😍😍😍😍 and for racing i have HPI Vorza 6s with some upgrade ,, you right it's not about prand it's about models , i hate traxxas but i love the xmax .
Scorpion bxxl is bad as$. hands down best 6th scale 2wheel drive sand/dirt buuggy out there. Th*s thing is a beast. Warning this thing is for advanced drivers only. At about $600 its money well spent.8
I run a losi-xxx-sct brushless. The 22's are real good trucks to build on but I love the xxx platform. I run 2wd trucks only and I still see team associated hanging on in the pack but losi dominates local track.
I own an ECX Torment 1/10 Brushed. But my favourite brand is Traxxas for now I live in a small town at my local hobby shop they only have ECX, Traxxas, and Losi my Torment broke on the front bumper 2 times in 4weeks but don't go hate on ECX it was in the -15 digress in the winter . My RC is 300Total and we upgraded the battery to a 50C 5000mAh and got a brushless motor for 200$ totaland it goes 60MPH!!! NOW!!!
I love axial for my scaler and I have a Schumacher 2wd buggy the quality is amazing haven't broken a thing. owned a lot of traxxas they do have great support but there are smaller company that make great stuff for a good price and you don't really need parts because you doknt brake stuff
If it's a question of quality then tekno is #1 hands down. But there are a ton of quality brands. mugen, Losi, team assoc. But many folks aren't always looking for the 'best' many need parts and customer service. too many brands to go through them all. personally I shoot for quality and upgrade availability.
very interesting video i am a redcat dealer for 6 years now i am not saying that they have the best rc but service support waranty are verry good ..and i am living in canada for the most part i sell entry vehicule around 200 bucks it attracks new people to the hobby and verry often dad bought one more expensive just because he tried is sons redcat and loving it yes they all break but like you said parts support is the most important aspect of the hobby find a good rc shop and have fun serge anctil from st pacome quebec canada
I love my slash 4x4 but the majority of the parts are aftermarket. And mine has an strc aluminum and carbon fiber lcg chassis. In my opinion you have to throw too much money at traxxas's to get 'em to perform as well as they should. My favorite stock rc is my b4.2, and I'd have to go with AE as my favorite rc brand.
I have had a slash 4x4 for over 4 years and I loved it. Of course I have done a lot of stupid stuff and only about 10 percent of the original car is there.
A fun little discussion while I am out covering a different event! We'll get some running footage Monday!
rcnightmare ii
rcnightmare I paid 1000 $ for emta g2 here in my country with no part support😭. Please review losi xl or mtxl its hugeeeee.
Big hi gu guiding hi gi bu

I agree I wish it was like this for all RC companies.
My Traxxas models had esc issues after 14 days and Traxxas wouldn’t do anything also had rear diff issues still nothing. Couple friends also had warranty issues that Traxxas wouldn’t do anything about. Hpi and thunder tiger I had great warranty experience with even after a year of having the rc
u own every single one... lucky
got the rustlers?
Bro .....when are the new videos coming? 🤔
So it's 2020 and I'm thinking in buying my first RC, Wich top 3 brands do you recommend me ?? Thanks !
If you want fast and reliable I would say the traxxas rustler vxl tsm for about 280$ I would also get the traxxas easy peak battery pack for like 100$ there website is very easy to navigate
@@ethanvxl2509 thanks a lot! I'll check it out 👍
I've owned traxxas, tamiya, mst, team magic, and exceed.
I was thinking about getting an arrma typhon 6s? Are they any good.
Arrma has my vote. Tough RCs at a fair price.
I wanna buy the arrma senton
@@islow3069 me too
Disappointed they dont sell the Senton 6s anymore. Guess I'll look at the Mojave.
the mojave is better in all ways. you will enjoy it a lot
I started with Traxxas and love the parts availability, along with customer support. Right now I'm into Losi. I think whatever you are having fun with at the time, is the best brand.
Don't forget the best basher on the market. TEKNO RC. THE MOST DURABLE BAD ASS TRUCK IN THE MARKET
I first started in RC 20 years ago was Tamiya
yet u can still find parts support for those ones u started with ;)
Check out Arrmas 8th scales
Jeremy has to get an Arrma. They are so good. I have a typhon and it is only 400$ and can run 6s
you think.
I'm looking at a Redcat Racing lightning epx pro for $209. Is this good? It's brushless and comes with a lipo battery and charger. I'm new to this.
or you can buy a truck that does not break. I'll fart on traxxas and it breaks.
Arrma 1/8 scale products kill the game, all of them.
I just bought 2 traxxas rustler 2wd for my boys what are your thoughts? Are there any inexpensive upgrades?
I've owned a few brands. And from a racing perspective I've found Xray and Team Associated have been good to me. Xray kits have always assebled and fitted together really well, and AE have always had great parts support.
I want an 808e really bad.. I gotta look into that. I’d buy the kit or however it comes.
Z.A.K. RC I like the Talion
Z.A.K. RC what's a challenge
Z.A.K. RC couldn't say in much better myself. Simply put.
I'm really enjoying the Redcat rock crawlers.
Also, the Arrma Fireteam 6S is a blast!
Hi,I'm want to get into rc,is there one that's a good intery level 🤜🤛I have a budget of 250 usd, thank you
Arrma senton right away
team redcat/redcat!! i own the trmt 10e, terremoto 10, everest 10 and be6s. hands down better stock especially on 3s and durability than my stampede vxl 4x4, brushless 2wd pde and my axial yeti all of which needed to be heavily upgraded. the price point and what you get from redcat is amazing. the product support was great from each company.
in my country despite red cats don't have the better fame, I know people that love their 1/5s because gas is cheaper than nitro
i have heard good things about there gas powered rc's.
Traxxas e revo vxl 1/16 in love ! Best of mine in my opinion
,
What do people think of 3racing????
I think I’m going Traxxas. My local shop has a lot of Traxxas and horizon hobby. Thinking bout a stampede
Arrma guy here, probably a Tekno guy too but I've haven't finished building it yet.
Traxxas may have been a great company back then now they back their stuff to last less then 3 gallons
I like Traxxas because there is TONS of possible upgrade and replacement parts available and comparability is easy. Also customer support is awesome. I have a Stampede 4X4VXL, Slash 4X4 brushless, and another Stampede 4x4VXL for my 8yo son who LOVES it!
What do you think of the kraton v2
its amazing can never go wrong with it
Tamiya and kyosho are OG’s show some respect lol.
Agree's. All i have is a Stampede 4x4, and a Axial Scx10. 1st gen version.
So now it's time for some 1/8 Buggy wheels and that purdy JConcepts BAJR DESERT BODY!😁
Traxxas customer service, parts/upgrade availability has made me a fan!
What's the worst rc brand
I do want to try arrma though because I have heard their 8th scales are awesome.
literally just bought a traxxas fiesta rally which hasn’t even been delivered yet but now that you say it’s not that great i’m regretting it...
Team Associated, HPI and Tamiya are my favorite RC brands.
Arrma has my vote
Also, you learn the kit inside out and when there is a problem, you know exactly how to fix it =)
IMHO, the armma and traxxas vehicles just lack 'charm' and 'personality'. Not knocking those who love these manufacturers, just a personal opinion =) Currently, I have a Kyosho Optima, Scorpion, Tomahawk, a Tamiya M-05 and Sand Scorcher...No, these won't win any competitions but I love them for what they are.
Best 4x4 racing SCT, TEKNO 410.3 and TLRSCTE 3.O.
You can get the Thunder Tiger mt4 g3 for under $400 Right now. Go to their Facebook page and find the link to Amazon Fathers day discount.
'
i have good R/C models...
1- two kyosho blizzards
1- tamiya
1= tonka truck with 6 wheels
1- firehawk boat
1- traxxas villain boat
Recat Landslide. Just upgrade the diffs and you have one badass truck for $300.00
I would choose traxxas simply because it’s what my hobby shop handles the majority of the time and they just have almost every traxxas model that you can find online aside from online only discounts
Edit: I also enjoy arrma they have had really pretty body’s
Driving Traxxas is why you are always needing parts. Get yourself an x-ray, Mugen, or Tekno. You won't need all those spare parts.
My go-to brands are Traxxas and Losi
I only have 1 and that’s the HPI Blitz Flux, getting an Arrma when it’s back in stock
Woah woah woah. What the hell is the quartering doing here?!?
I would say the TRL stuff is pretty good right now one of the TRL ready to run truggy nitrous haven't had any problems with it wish I would have bought the kit because I've upgraded everything
me and my dad are kinda into the traxxas rustlers
I own just 1 RC and that is my E-Maxx and it was a S-Maxx TRX 2.5 before I converted it into a electric
Also had Savage Flux and it was nothing but trouble. So much fun when it worked but always gave be trouble and wasn’t even hard on it. Traxxas has some very good ones but a lot of their stuff just looks boring. But the E Revo VXL is lots of fun.
Traxxas Axiel Kyosho
My first car was an RC10 Gold pan 1993/4 ... then I went to the RC10GT a few years later ... when I was a kid Traxxas was a bad word but 25+ years later I want Maxx because I’m old and lazy now and I just want to drive more than fix
traxxas has my vote
Never would of know, ULTiMATE TRAXXAS MAN.
DHK MAXIMUS damn near all aluminum out the box. electrics when i had one ??? chasis was killer. new one supposed to be water resistant, plus up from 80 to 120 esc. Bought a traxxas e maxx. parts avalibilty. 3 weeks for dhk. still want another...😎😎😎
DHK Zombie 8e is a beast!
Who has the best support besides traxxas?
NOW!!!
Hey Jeremy, this is D Snow from hobbytown oshkosh. Do you fly drones at all?
THE QUARTER POUNDER. Lol I had no clue you did rc stuff back in the day.
I love axial for my scaler and I have a Schumacher 2wd buggy the quality is amazing haven't broken a thing. owned a lot of traxxas they do have great support but there are smaller company that make great stuff for a good price and you don't really need parts because you doknt brake stuff
I jus got a dhk zombie 8e it is very tough rc, heavy .but it's $300 8th scale pretty sweet
Losi and kyosho, parts are available but expensive
If you're aiming for the track, try some Tekno vehicles. They are definitely one of the best out there. Sworkz also seems to be very good.
HEY YOU FORGOT BRIGHT THE BEST RC CAR BRAND FROM WALMART
I love my slash 4x4 but the majority of the parts are aftermarket. And mine has an strc aluminum and carbon fiber lcg chassis. In my opinion you have to throw too much money at traxxas's to get 'em to perform as well as they should. My favorite stock rc is my b4.2, and I'd have to go with AE as my favorite rc brand.
I have had a slash 4x4 for over 4 years and I loved it. Of course I have done a lot of stupid stuff and only about 10 percent of the original car is there.
