How did you do? What are your favorite roll and writes?

Ganz Schön Clever is a great roll-and-write (one of the best, in my opinion) and you can play it solo as well. There is an upcoming one, Super-Skill Pinball, which also plays great. A free sample is available right now. I also like Corinth, though I’d rate it in the same league as this one. I haven”t tried the new roll-and-write from Jamie Stegmaier, Rolling Realms, but it looks interesting.

I have only played Cartographers, Welcome to and Railroad Ink. (and now, Rolling America) All great games. I might slightly prefer Welcome to, but it really depends on the day.

Thanks for the fun playthrough. I agree roll and writes make for great quarantine games. Have you ever tried playing where each player is only allowed to use the dice they roll? That would probably minimize instances of the exact same move and increase map diversity, especially in larger groups. Looking forward to more games that play well with two (or more).

True, there would be a statistically correct way of playing this game, but (as in a game like MONOPOLY) the dice outcomes are so random that it would almost always be thwarted. Nonetheless, there are some possible advantages in the choices that players make.

when you say the corners don't count towards the neighboring rule. does that mean I can put a 2 in Utah and a 6 in New Mexico? since it's corner to corner?
same with Arizona & Colorada and then again with Wisconsin & Indiana

Really studying the video to learn the game, I just wish with each move you would say why you are putting the number there. The directions are basic with the game. The neighboring state rule took me a while to understand watching you guys. Im like, why did he/she put that number there? I have watched it a bunch of times now and finally clicking, I think ;)
