It took so long to get this thing going and it angered a lot of New Yorkers that we couldn’t get it started let alone finished. @@mr.blister4856 ah that's understandable. Honestly if you had a patreon or something I'd help you raise money to see it. I guess because this feels important.
Pat Lucas good, i want people doing a good job when they build something like this. if they got the same pay as mcdonalds i would bet it wouldnt stand for very long.
+Cthulhu Has Risen. I have no issue with what people get paid. I just don't think they need any kind of special thanks for doing their jobs, anymore than teachers or grocery store checkers or garbage collectors or anyone else does. Ok, great, they do a dangerous, dirty, physical job and get paid well to do it. It's the same mentality as calling every person who returns from military service a hero-- especially if they return dead. Nope.
I think it would be very honorable to rebuild a skyscraper on the plot where all of that devastation occurred. Maybe those construction workers do get more esteem and thanks for working on that than the people who collect garbage or who work fast food, but I bet that was a very competitive job to get, and I bet they worked long and hard to build the experience to get that job. Nothing is stopping the garbage workers or fast food workers from having aspiration like that. Maybe if there were no thanks or honor to a job like this, the garbage workers and fast food workers would never aspire for anything further--if there was never anything that seemed better; never anything that garnered more prestige simply on account of it being a job, and since it's a job and they're doing a job, no reason to make it special, no reason to make anyone feel important, right? I just feel that train of thought is a good way to lose any upward motivation/mobility. I personally thank those people for their hard work. Skyscrapers are a spectacle of human technology and achievement, and the architects, builders, etc. all deserve prestige for the feat. Just my opinion.
GameAddict51 honestly, I totally agreed bro... These people need to get their heads out of their asses and show some respect for those who lost their lives and their families. I went to the comments thinking there was going to the showing of American pride or respect for this project but no and it's just shit. 16 years still doesn't give anyone the right to make a joke about the death of so many innocent civilians.... Those who are making the jokes, think if you had a family member in the building or as a first responder who gave their life for those they saved how would those comments feel, even if they are "a joke".... show some respect guys come on...
I grew up with this construction, along with many other children. I was born 3 years after the incident, so it was still nothing there. Then in 2006, when I was 2 years old is when the Memorial was almost done, and the Trade center started construction. From a Toddler until 2014, when I was 10 years old, they finished it. 8 years later, I'm here typing this comment. I visited the World trade center for the first time in 2015 post graduating from Elementary. A crazy sight to think that only 12 years ago, where I stood in front of the memorial is where two famously impressive buildings stood.
It’s definitely on a tripod, and it looks like the pictures are only taken every day, or maybe every few hours, and I would guess it’s automated. Worst case scenario, someone goes there every day and clicks a button and leaves.
Lego & Entertainment could you not.. I was amazed that today it looks the way it does while looking at it complete, and how much our world has improved by building
I love where at the end the camera is zoomed in on the spike thing and the arm is building something below outside of the screen and it just looks confused af, like "well I've built this, what now?"
Watching it come to life in front of you like this makes you really think “how are humans capable of such amazing things when we also can’t find the glasses on our forehead”
My friend and I came to New York back in 2012/13 while this was being built. I like to think we're in this video somewhere, looking up in amazement. Glad I'll always have that memory, Bill. Rest easy ❤️
@johnny bravo and the other one thing is I've never seen they putting the big cranes at working on high building. Like When you see it, it's already there also how tf did they remove the cranes after they build it.

Crazy how they built the entire trade center in just over 2 minutes, we have come so far in engineering.

Thanks to all those hard working construction workers!
Erre HG. They got plenty of thanks in the form of big fat union scale paychecks.
Pat Lucas good, i want people doing a good job when they build something like this. if they got the same pay as mcdonalds i would bet it wouldnt stand for very long.
+Cthulhu Has Risen. I have no issue with what people get paid. I just don't think they need any kind of special thanks for doing their jobs,
anymore than teachers or grocery store checkers or garbage collectors or anyone else does.
Erre HG Yeah, the towers look really good now.

It is an impressive feat to have someone take a frame of this timelapse over the period of 11 years. Insane dedication!
They could have put more dedication into the architecture tho. Smaller and ugly compared tot he twin towers
@@cottage_pie Those aren't just design choices, they learned that making a square tower wasn't the best idea in terms of structural strength
@@cottage_pie man shut up
@@cottage_pie the twin towers were literally just two boxes Lmao. This is way more creative. Look at the edges and details.
@@cottage_pie The others were literally just giant rectangles. Not a very dynamic shape, and also lacked structural support…
Let’s appreciate the camera quality and the stillness, doesn’t the camera man get antsy after sitting for so long.
It’s definitely on a tripod, and it looks like the pictures are only taken every day, or maybe every few hours, and I would guess it’s automated. Worst case scenario, someone goes there every day and clicks a button and leaves.

Can we just appreciate that the weather almost didn't changed for an entire decade
It just moved so fast. That few seconds of gray sky towards the end were probably hurricane sandy
It did but it was way too fast
What about 1:05 where construction stopped for a while because of what looks like to be a hurricane?
There clearly was rain 🌧️

Bowz yes they get them out. It's as easy as building them as they are made for that lol

Bob diclson obviously not the elevator, it comes apart in too big pieces. They most likely bring them down from the outside of the building
