You're absolutely correct about the science of oily skin. Thank you for this review. Your explanation of how using too many matte products will make your skin over produce oils. This is why I gave up on primers with matte foundations

Exactly, so happy you understand it but it’s so true! It truly matters when it comes to oily skin ✨

The only 2 I use. I live by O/S for summer. Tx heat jot playing. I do CT in fall winter...or as a primer. Great comparison 👏🏾

So I was about to buy the one size setting spray. I had written this down on my list in my notebook because people have been raving about this spray, but then when you showed us the side by side comparison I just crossed it out. It's a no for me, haha! Besides, based on the comments it also reminds me of the Huda beauty setting spray which also made me cough and eyes teary at the same time.

    • @beautybychichi
      @beautybychichi  ปีที่แล้ว +1

I’ve never tried Huda but yes based on what you said it might be similar but definitely if you have oily skin then CT is better to avoid over production of oil.

Hey! Yes I used to use it all the time in the past, it’s a really good setting spray. I just love CT a little bit more but you can’t go wrong with Urban Decay.

CT spray is just so good 🤌🏾 Yes if you have dry skin then the O/S might not be the best for you but I may need to look into the dermablend setting spray.

  • @makeup561

Late to the video! You looked stunning! That blush is especially beautiful! 💕 I have both setting sprays and I agree that the CT is better. I have normal skin with an oily T Zone that gets crazy oily in the summer. I find that the CT primer kept my makeup looking nicer.❤

Personally it lasts a very good time! I only use it if I’m going somewhere special like brunch, dates, events, etc.
For everyday activities I suggest using a drugstore setting spray instead.

Ah since you have acne prone skin I don’t want to suggest something because it all comes down to ingredients but a safe one is the Morphe setting spray. It more so melts your makeup and makes it look natural

So happy was finally able to win against the YT algoto now get more POC on my feed, and voila here I am. Great review.
    Anyone interested 3 steps.
    1. I blanket chose Do not recommend channel anytime a white/ white adjacent creator shows up on my feed for makeup and skincare. Only exceptions are Robert Welsh , Nikki La Rose and Hannah Louise Poston. This step I found to be the most effective even more than 2 &3 which I was doing before the blanket erasing of channels.
    2. Anytime a black or brown creator pops up I give them enough viewing time even if their content is not my cup of tea. Walk away let the video play. You can always choose ‘not interested’ later.
    3. Even if it’s not content I am looking for, but enjoyed what they said I will give views and /or likes and an emoji in the comments to feed the algorithm.
Ofcourse when you enjoy the POC content remember All of the YT things :) viewing time, like and comment. 😛

I have highlighter on my cheeks but I’m more so focusing on my tzone since that’s where I get oily.
