This floor plan is called DIY Ranch Home 2306AR - Ranch and it features 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a 3 stall garage, heated floors, 2306 square feet, and exposed timber beams!
This home is enhanced with many maintenance-free building products - including horizontal clapboard siding with a wood grain texture in your choice of many colors. The upper gable ends include your choice of either polymer shakes or board & batten, both of which are maintenance-free. Other maintenance-free products featured in this package are exterior trim, windows, soffit, fascia, and more!

What is that purple cover touching the frost wall from inside? Should you also put that pinky cover from the outside?
We like to insulate the inside for a couple of reasons, stay tuned for the next Episode and we will explain. thanks for watching
Feed back for future videos: i think the individuals watching this series may like the more technical information. Such as why did you install insulation on the inside face of the frost walls.
Also out of curiosity, why not rebar dowels for the footings into the rebar?

Question. If he’s building this house himself how does the price go from $ 183000 for the complete package to $379000. What is all this money being spent on if he’s doing all the work?
The package is very complete, but you need concrete, blocks, drywall, flooring, furnace.air conditioner, plumbing pipes fittings, electrical wire and boxes, insulation, and more, stay tuned for the rest of the episodes. otherwise call 800-270-5025 M-Sat

I dont understand why you multiplied the turnkey cost by 2.6 when he is building it himself? Why did you not just add the 40k to the $182,641 for the septic, landscaping, well, etc... I supposed I just dont understand how you get from $182k to $379k. Thats almost another $200K for what??? I really like your homes, and I am hoping in 4 years I am in the same position as this couple, however I dont understand your math? Love the videos and I cant wait till the next one! Great job!!

I've been planning on a golden eagle log home for a while now for me and my boyfriend. I'm getting really excited. Been looking at what there is for land in an area we can be happy with, so still in the beginning stages.
And I get even more eager sometimes because I'm a delivery driver and sometimes deliver packages to log cabin homes on rural routes, so just walking up to one gives me that sense of walking up to our own log cabin home! God I can't wait!

I understand Lukas participated in the building process; did he encounter issues by the bank (if there was a construction mortgage) or any liability issues? If so, what was done, if any, to circumvent these limitations. I am facing the same issues now. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks for sharing.
BIGG banks can be difficult for DIYers these days, try a credit union, or a savings and loan You will need construction insurance during the build as with any new home build. Yes He has a construction Mortgage that then turned into 30 year fixed.
Why were the cider blocks not filled with cement? Those holes will fill with water can cause massive amounts of mold int he future. They should be filled with rebar and cement.
On your home because they are custom you could say you want that, in this case it is not needed, thanks for watching

Why do we just accept the fact that you are forced to "pay" sales "tax" on something you build entirely on your own?

I want to see you build a full house with a full basement in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Baxter, Arkansas, SC, NC, AL, and TX. 2460 sq., ft. and 4 bedrooms. What would be the cost?
You'll need to give us a lot more details before we could muster up a price. You will see turnkey prices on our website for approximately 120 homes and those prices will be a fairly close representation for those areas of the country. I think about Look-Out Mountain and Ruby Falls when someone mentions Chattanhooga. Good memories!

I think the budget of my dream house is $ 8-10 million, because I want it to be very big and spacious and I also want it to last a long time I mean all their houses lasts a long time because their high quality, well made, well thought out, and unique and also because they had Idk 50-60 years of experience in building log homes

That is rigid foam insulation, it keeps the cold from penetrating, and the warmth of the infloor heat from escaping
