That’s a good point. I’m pretty sure one of the devs said it’s functionally the same in terms of gameplay on a platforms, so the number of enemies is hopefully just a coincidence.
If this is anything like Metro Awakening, there will be no Quest3 upgrade at launch and the resolution will look 10 times shittier in the headset. Seems to be the fate of all games optimised for quest2?
I really hope they improve it soon. Metro Awakening looks great on the Quest 3, but there’s so much untapped potential! Right now, the CPU level is set at 5 for Quest 2 but only 4 for Quest 3. What’s even more confusing is that people using Quest Graphics Optimizer (QGO) have been able to run the game at a lot higher resolution 2064x 2064 and frame-rate 90hz (45fps with ASW) while barely increasing CPU or GPU load! Currently the game runs at 70hz (35fps ASW) at only 1680 x 1760. This suggests the developers could release a simple patch to optimize performance on Quest 3, but they just haven’t done it yet. It’s frustrating because the hardware can clearly handle more.
every time I see a game like this that uses rasterized rendering , could they not just texture the mouths interiors to look darker, with a fade to black at the back to create the occlusion feeling of real lighting? what is with leaving a GLOWING tongue and teeth as the default? looks so fake, this is what I mean > 0:37
They absolutely can. Hopefully they will continue to art direct the Quest optimized assets so this can be a masterpiece. As tempting as it is to focus on PSVR2 and PCVR, the majority of players will be playing standalone
I thought this same thing with gun textures in Arizona sunshine remake. The guns are darker with a gloss on pc. And an ugly bright grey matte look on quest. Just darken the texture
People are crazy this is impressive for a standalone unit in vr people are just absolutely overly picky some of yall should have been in the 80s lol y’all eyes are too Bougie.
@@ContrastCopy Geometry in general, and the textures are washed out. So everything :( What stands out immediately is the stalactites don't blend well with their environment, then the enemy textures washed out, unfortunately the Dread Stag at the end is more hilarious than scary becaouse of the lack of detail... :( I had high hopes for the Quest 3 version...
I also hope they do this, it's sad that they haven't done it until now, it's understandable if they were busy with this game so if they release it a few weeks or months after the release of Behemoth then it's forgivable, what I also wanted is a remaster of Red Matter 1 or at least have all the languages in the quest version of the game.
Real Time shadows is possible on a stand-alone game, but a difficult task on a game of this scale homie. Maybe there are some areas inside with the caves where they will be turned on or something, but I doubt it.
That would be the icing on the cake however the cake itself is rough my dude. Them washed-out textures and geometric details really lacking. The stalactites aren't blending in well to the environment...

Metro is in small cramped tunnels, so doesn't have to have significant render distance and therefore can look better. Behemoth has giant creatures and big open areas, to achieve this render distance the graphics need to take a small hit. Saying that, Behemoth looks amazing for Standalone VR. Is this game crossbuy? I haven’t decided if I’ll run it on Q3 or see if my PC can handle it
Same question here. I was very pleased to see, that Metro Awakening supports crossbuy. If Skydance follows, I will preorder immediately.
