    To fix smoothing group error when Importing the FBX into unreal. In Blender in the FBX Export options, Scroll down to Geometry, then change Smoothing from Normals to Face before you click Export.

    Really nice job with this tutorial. I also dislike dealing with the UVs - Zen UV and UV Packmaster are both lifesavers. I am not surprised to see both show up in your proposed workflow. I also use Better FBX to help with transition to Unreal and Unity.

    Honestly wish the texturing part wasn't sped up. I'm looking for a complete video like this one that includes the uv's using the uv plugins mentioned with their tools. I'm planning on purchasing the plugins but first I need a good understanding of everything and this video honestly would've been perfect

    making adjustments requires a lot of mousing around, the thickness goes up at a very slow rate, while holding control, it took me 58 screen swipes and about 4 minutes to adjust the thickness to match the width and depth. how do you adjust it? i made it go a little faster holding ctrl but there has to be a better way, whats the keybind? also i found when adjusting a bevel, when moving the mouse it adjusts the width and segments simultaneously, but there isnt a situation where i would need to do that, how do i adjust them individually?

    As a fun aside, the red cross on this asset really should be green (or a different symbol) the Red cross is a protected symbol and can invite legal pressure when used in a game project.

      @@CGThoughts It's not protected by copyright law, but by the geneva conveiton.
      The intent is that the symbol is used for markings in warzones. That way warparties are not shooting at doctors or bulding with the markings. A violatio nis a wargcrime under the geneva convention.
      There are a laws in place to protect the symbol from misuse. Of course video games didn't exist back then so nobody foraw it as a potentiakl problem.
      So it is not some misplaced corporate greed, but to keep the symbol from being contaminated with other meanings.

    I used to love the Fluent modeling tools until the pie menu was introduced. Please can you release a version without the pie menu, its a hassle to work with and dig around for icons etc. Materializer is still awesome!!!

      Hello Stephan, look the options in préférences. You can choose your menu. Circular or column 😉
