It is so useless, it doesn't even reach the floor, it still drags the bumper. RPM are going to get a bad name for themselves if they don't sort it out I remember their products being awesome what happened??

Hey kev I found to help save the roof of the body, I mounted some go pro mounts with double stick tape any plastic sliders taped to the top would do! I love the 2 wheel action!

Of all your videos this is my favorite. Great driving skills.. even tho it's on it's back half the time. Lol. Not sure you need to reach 61 again. I would prefer NOT have ballooning tires over a few mph.
The truck is more than fast enough as it is but its always fun to push it and see how fast you can get it to go. I'll try gearing it up for some speed runs but put the gearing back to what it is now for general bashing. Cheers

: just watching this again and i wonder if the ballooning tyre's gave it more top speed as they get bigger in diameter it's the same as gearing up in theory!? I tested my x maxx before and after installing the power up kit diff gears on mad max tyre's which don't balloon and there was no difference in top speed 👍
It does because of exactly what you said but it all depends on the gearing. My revo could only go 55 because the tires ballooned and became unstable at higher speed. My new ones top out at 55 full throttle

Kevin, nice to see you include your friends Rcs,. You had a different wheelie bar on there a few weeks ago, that you said was getting in the way of getting over big limbs. Perhaps use that on asphalt speed runs and then pull it off when you go to the woods. Great Vid, love the slo-mo!

I usually don't run wheelie bars on any of my cars but I need one for my xmaxx because my rear bumper looks like a V-shape at the moment.

You should just buy a GoPro and mount it on your car or on you controller by using the joby action clamp!! It works great that is how I film
I will probably get a go pro or something similar to mount on the car. I just don't like the gopro fish eye look, its heavy on the computer to edit it out and takes hours to render.
Kevin Talbot on my samsung video settings its got something called windcut, when i put that on it cuts down the eind sound drastically

Hey kev,can you give me the specs and gearing you'r using. I got the esc hobbywing max6? but what 1600kv brand motor and gearing. Love the vids but cant find all the details. Cheers! I'm running stock gears with 6s on the V2 and no wheelies :(
Im running the 1600kv V1 X-Maxx stock motor. HPI Racing 18t pinion and GPM 46t spur gear. Cheers

Wow!! just love that guys Savage,,, very sweet mad beast,, to wheely like that in the wet and keep traction,, very nice,, haha,, puts my HSP 1/8 standard to shame,, does anyone know if HPI A arms fit onto hsp savage as i have heard that many parts are compatible and its more than obv i should have paid a bit more and got a better rc but i had a seized nitro brand new the same, so at least have a rolling chassis the same for spares!! and very happy with my upgraded 1/10 monster truck,, what a little weapon just tweaking the esc!!

She don’t want to go straight does it looks like ya have to fight it to keep it straight ! Also for the 4 screws in the front of the top use gas line cut lil washer type size bits off it put the screw threw the middle of it aN when ya tighten it down it squishes the rubber to the top so it won’t break at the screw areas n they hold up very well first day I had my xmaxx out the top broke :( the four bolts out not even hour in
So are you saying that the 1600kv motor has more top speed over the 1200kv motor?
We're still testing but I think it has more potential to be quicker
I've got the perfect wheelie bar came up with it long before traxxas ;-)
Ps: wrap heavy fishing line around tires a few times and that will top the ballooning all together ;-)

You don't happen to know if those zop power 7.4v batteries you use will work in my traxxas 1/10 summit? I ordered one without batteries because traxxas batteries are way too over priced.
You would have to change the connectors or use an adaptor as they are different

The "KV" of the motor don`t mean kilovolts, it means turns per Volt per second.
*Per minute. Imagine drone motors of like 2000kv at 1s lipo is 7400rpm max. Per second would be 444000rpm!
the new 8s diffs have less teeth to compensate for larger teeth. I think you ight need to gear up for that higher speed.

cartwheel any other wheelie bar across asphalt and tell me what happens. Especially a huge heavy truck with a huge heavy 6s battery doing 40 mph. There is a lot of energy there. Sorry but RPM plastic is the most durable on the market.

Get a T-Bone racing Wheelie bar. It will stop most of the flip overs and help save your body.
I don't like the look of the tbone one. I have the stock 8s one which I will put back on for speed runs
