Story 2: it kind of is a big deal. This woman obviously outright stole your drink that you payed for. And to not even ask a worker if she ordered that drink, or explain what’s going on, is baffling to me. You’re not being too much or being a Karen for speaking up for stuff like that. Small seemingly meaningless unjust encounters like that build character and self respect when speaking up on them. Hopefully this girl was just young, because not speaking up for yourself allows people to treat you the way that woman did, whether you know it or not

Story #2 - If someone did that to me I would have out-Karen'd that Karen and made a big deal out of it to the employees in the first place. We have a guy who has threatened me and one of my shift leads and who keeps smoking on our property, and lately he’s been trying to hide near our drive thru window. Not sure if he’s homeless but there’s something wrong with him. It’s terrifying, but we can’t ban him until he gets one more strike.
Story #2: I don't understand why people are saying in the comment section that the storyteller didn't stand up for themselves. They did. They confronted the Karen lady and even tested them, but in the end they just let it go. Of course I would of told the employees about my situation but I do understand OP's point of view. They were cutting close to being late for work, which not all bosses are understanding about, and they just felt sympathy for the overworked employees and didn't want to add more to their workload. So they just thought the whole ordeal wasn't worth it.
