Good informative vid! A Couple things ... If you have hit max tension with a puller, try a sharp rap on the end of it with a hammer,,, Often times the shock will help to bust it loose... Another tool you should try out for screws that won't come is a by-hand impact driver... Easy to find at any tool store, simple to understand. They work a treat.

I had the same Home Depot puller, Mine self destructed. Don't know if the + handles have been off in 70 years. Well the valves leak, the tile has leaked for more than the 24 years we have been here. Have a contractor rip out the adjacent tub and install a new walk in shower stall. I will convert the 32" x 32" shower into a closet. New vanity but keep the 1950 PINK and GRAY tile where possible. The pink toilet got replaced the first year we lived here. Didn't mind the pink but the low round bowl had to go. Thanks for video (O - I did try penetrating oil)

Wow, thank you for this. I have some handles that are stuck on like this, and that tool, and PB Blaster is exactly what I need. The only real problem I'm having now is finding the stem repair kit for my stems. I'm not 100% sure, but I think they're Sayco stems. If I'm planning to replace the entire stem do I HAVE to have the same ones as the ones in now? I'd LOVE to upgrade to those new cartridge based systems. Thank you again!

For suspect frozen screws, dip & dress the screwdriver head in valve grrinding compound before even trying to remove the screw to stop the driver tip from slipping in the screws slots. I use coarse grit valve grinding compound as the coarse grit bites into the screws metal slots better.

My faucet handles were plastic and the puller kept slipping off, no matter how hard I tried to keep the arms in position. Simple solution was a small mastercraft clamp. Kept the arms in place and allowed both my hands to be available to work the puller.

Nothing is working. I'm at my wits end. I have the exact same issue. I even went out and bought the extractor (GrabIt). I may as well have been spitting in the wind. What do you do when nothing is working? I don't want to damage the pipes the handle is attached to. I need to replace the shower wall which I cannot do with the handle still attached. It was only installed 3 months ago. It shoyuldn;t be a build up issue. The other one came off lickety split. I tried drilling through it like you did. It won't drill through. My drill bit just spun and spun and never penetrated the screw. At this point I'm becoming scared of burning up my drill.
