I suggest an album called Flowers... it's a North American release, so it is often dissed or overlooked, but it's a great set of songs from their first period of greatness
I’ll throw in on the Flowers album while we find ourselves in their early stages. The Got Live brings the energy for sure but this Flowers studio album let’s you hear the music as intended. And it’s a great album!
Thanks, Joel S for these Stones tracks, they're fire. Feel like MY 20th breakdown happened over the holidays, lol. Playing catch up all day. Great reaction, L33, zero skipping on my part. Blessings all.
"Got Love if You Want It" was a Slim Harpo original and is the main reason Bob Dylan once noted that Mick Jagger was essentially trying to sound like Slim. A catty remark for sure but it has a bit of truth in it.
My first album purchase way back when. "The last Time" was a favorite song for many years. You're right about the fidelity on this record sucking. I think it says Mono on the album jacket. The screaming girls doesn't help either.
You should give a listen to their new album Hackney Diamond s it has two of the last songs Charlie was on. And they called Bill Wyman back to play on a song that Charlie played the drums on. Elton John plays piano on a couple of songs. Lady Gaga and Stevie Wonder is on a song together and Paul McCartney plays bass on a fast punk sounding track
For years I wondered what was father trying to perfect in 19th Nervous Breakdown? Good ceiling wax? Good sealing wax? What the hell? Either way, as a 12 year old I had no idea. Lol it wasn't until years later that I think I figured out what they were singing. I think sealing wax is the stuff that important people used to melt on the back of envelopes and then press their family crest into it before it hardened. There's some bangers on this record. To bad about all the background screaming girls.
The story goes that Kieth came up with the riff for Satisfaction in his sleep. He woke up and played it on a recorder. In the morning he pressed play and heard the 20 second riff, followed by 40 minutes of Kieth snoring.
That was Brian Jones making those crazy guitar sounds on Its Alright. Bo Diddley himself said Brian Jones was the only musician he heard who achieved the same sound on the guitar that he produced.
This is an example of how most live albums had mediocre recording quality. This is one of many reasons why Peter Frampton's album sold so well. At the time it was the best sounding live performance recordings I had heard. Robin Trower's live album in '74 or '75 sounded clean too.
The Two Sides of Tony McPhee The Hunt 1973. is a single psychedelic art rock electronic composition in four movements, featuring Arp 2600 synthesizers, electric piano, and The Rhythm Ace drum synthesizer it explores McPhee's strong stance against fox and stag hunting th-cam.com/video/BRIUUBlFVZ8/w-d-xo.html
I've been an avid Stones fan since 1964, bought every album they released (and many they haven't). This is one of my least favorites, however there is an EP with the same title that was really good. But of course you deserve a like for the great channel.
There were a lot of my favorite Stones songs on here but I just wasn't crazy about the sound quality at all. I think I would much rather hear the studio tracks. I can see now why this album got panned. Don't get me wrong, it isn't bad, just the studio recordings are much better
What album by the Stones should we check out in full next? Let me know here!

There is a live version of Satisfaction from the Ready steady go TV program in black and white that you will probably like.

High energy that was satisfying. 😀

The Best Damn Band In The Land Rocking Rolling Stones!!!!

Live early Stones .. the best .. zero chance of me skipping around lol

Euro 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Great reaction
Zero problems with the production on this record ❤
There’s zero chance that I won’t like this. Thanks Joel. 😊
Yes! This time was just the best, although the sound production was not. So much joy and great rock `n` roll.
I can find almost zero reactions to any Stones album on TH-cam 😥
Side 2 rocks! Some of the best early HITS, only LIVE!

If you think this sounds bad, you should hear the even worse stereo mix. Discuss amongst yourselves: live music played like this inspired punk rock.
Live stones are always the best 💞
1964 to 1967 is prob my fav live Stones era. There's plenty around. Paris shows and much more.
There's a great photo that goes with "Have You Seen Your Mother..." with the Stones all in drag. You'd love it.
no zero misses from Charles drumming😉
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
CHARLIE IS BEATING THAT CYMBOL RIDE. I NEVER HEARD THAT EVER.....R.I.P. MR. WATTS
Zerooo ❤

I believe this was the first album my brother and I bought.😊
Anything but zero!!
Thanks Joel

Zero not to like in this performance

Zero
zero complints, the stones are awsome

Not the best Live Stones album [ they did not yet have the recording technology ], but not bad...
