    Awesome lesson. Btw, is it possible that if I have a layer selected, any new objects that I create like a spline would automatically go into that selected layer? Thanks.

    Hey EJ I have a very interesting question for you. Is there any feature in C4d to locate the layer where object is being allocated? When you work on huge files with tons of layers is really difficult to connect one thing with the other visually. It really gets messed up. There should be an option like right click on object and locate layer in the layer manager but I just cannot find it.

      hitting S with the currsour over the object manager should bringup the objects that the selected.. it's not perfect, but a start.
      ...if I understood the question propperly

    Are layers really helps to viewport performace? I am not sure that if I have heavy voronoi animation and if I hide it not sure if it's just thre and hidden or really hidden from RAM or somehow.

    • @eyedesyn
      @eyedesyn  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It totally does, because with Layers you can deactivate animation, Voronoi, etc from even calculating at all.

    If I'm working soloing a layer, then add a new item it won't show because its not in the solod layer. Any way to add new items to a layer. Magic Solo does this perfecty.. but that's not layers..

    EJ! How can I render just a specific object in redshift. I have some action in the distance, a fraction of the full frame, I just want to render that object in the scene and comp it in after, but I have lights and environment going on. Object ID or puzzle matt just creates a mask right? Im trying to avoid longer render times pre comp. Ideal would be able to set render region and send to pic viewer, but I know thats not a thing.

    • @eyedesyn
      @eyedesyn  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you can totally render just in the cropped render region you set in your viewport! Go to your output settings and check on Render Region up near where the Width/Height settings are!
