I have recently become a fanboi of the Loc-tight gel type super glue, but that is due more to the utility of the dispenser than the glue.
What I am truly sold on however is "Super dry" from dollar tree. It is essentially a thinned clear nail polish. Being about half solvent, so it drys very quickly on my fly's and jigs. And of course instead of 7-10$ head cement it costs 1.25$. About to finish my third bottle for this winter. Been a good year for tying! Great stuff bugs! Keep em coming!

i actually use super dry for head cement. i like it, i dump mine into a needle bottle and it flows out great.

@@Ivegotbugsflyfishing I actually use superdry right from the bottle. BuRt when I open a new bottle I dry off the brush, fan it slightly, then cut to a point with sharp scissors. Really helps for precise application.

Friendly suggestion- When you hold up a product or other object for the viewer, please hold it up longer if you really want us to read the text or observe a particular detail. Some of us are older and take longer to focus in and see the detail you are pointing out. In this case, I suspect you were noting that the nail glue had a main ingredient of CA glue comparable to super glue. Thanks.
I would be interested to learn if you found other types of glue substitutes or products like resins or tying waxes.

Thank you for pointing that out. I watched it and I couldn't read it either. I will slow down in the future. I really appreciate constructive feedback.

Have you ever had occasions where the super glue has a lower shelf life because water vapor in the air causes it go off and this effect is cumulative, resulting in a shorter usable life for a bottle of glue? This would be more noticable in summer where humidity is generally higher. Would storing glue in the refrigerator between used help this?

I have, I think. I've had glue dry up in the bottle, I actually started storing my extra bottles in the fridge and have no longer had any issues with glue going bad.

Do me a favor and have a good look at the volume of material in the bottle. I'd like to see a clear pic of the front of it. All the bottles I found were .17 oz/5g for about $3. Didn't see any for sale of larger volume. The Wapsi Z-ment comes in a .5 oz/14.1g bottle for 7.95. S it would take 3 bottles of Kiss to be about the same volume as the Wapsi..and adding tax and shipping on the Wapsi, these would come out about even cost wise. Or are you finding a .5oz Kiss somewhere?

the bottles i have are .17 but the brand of glue i was purchasing was also that size. i didnt use Wapsi Z ment. So for that product its gonna be close to the same price, if you live around a fly shop.

Does it make the head cloudy like some of the other glues? I always buy the Loctite brush on at Wally World because it doesn't unless you touch it when wet. If it doesn't I will definitely be buying some.
