Thanks Dan. I’m sure you could tell, but as Matt started telling me this stuff I knew I had to try it in the pool. So it literally turned into an underwater Wednesday episode while we were filming the part in the store.
In the waters I fish mainly smallies, I have found that the regular swing impact has better success but with swim jigs and bladed jigs it's hard to beat the impact fat... awesome video!!
Matthew is one smart young man. I love his remark "The slower the metabolism of the fish, the slower metabolism of the bait." This is so true. I'll be putting that to the test in March out in Lake Erie jigging for walleye. Hair jigs seem to work best early with very slow lifts of maybe a few inches. The other guys on the boat think they can rip-jig but that doesn't work well when the water is that cold.
You stay with your slow presentation in early spring. I agree with you. I can’t tell you how many guys I’ve fished with that will say “ I have to fish it with a quick snap to get them to bite” Then I ask when was that? And their answer is “last summer” Well of course… different conditions warrant different presentations! Thanks for commenting!
That swing impact is just a ripoff of baits that have existed forever. If you want to save some money, bass pro has had their store brand version forever but they come in bigger packs for less money.
Another great video, guys. Will definitely have to pick up a pack of regular impacts, never even thought about throwing them!

Awesome video. The 3.3 Keitech SB is one of my year round "go to" baits.
Thanks Brian. They’re killer baits on spotted bass as well!
Are you using the TUSH on the Fat Impact ? Not sure it fit fit the Swing Impact. What size Keitech and what size hook on the TUSH ?
Yes, what you saw in the video was a 3/16 2/0 TUSH in a 3.8 Fat Impact.
👍👍👍👍
Thank you!

Yes they are both markfisheroutdoors

I’m curious, do you think those other baits have as much action as the Keitech’s?
Keitech is pronounced "Kay-tech"
