- After 29 seasons of research, this is my favorite kill plot mix to hunt over for this deer season. While food plots aren't always appropriate to hunt over, they are if you plant this type of blend and follow this kill plot planting strategy...

Hey Jeff, my grandpa, who is 73, talks about you all the time and has been following you and using your tips for a long time, i love hearing him talk about you and its given me more activities to do with him, i helped him put in a food plot, licking sticks and water barrels im so glad that hes excited to get out this year and hunt and im happy to be able to hunt along side him... thank you Jeff
We need more bucks. Truer words were never spoken. Thanks again for the info.
We are using oats and clover to create our pass through plots this year, I love all the info you give and videos you post, very informative, Thank you
Good looking plot, thanks Jeff
Thank you for sharing all these great tips in your videos. I am a Ga Hunter and I have been following your food plot advice for a few years now and it has def made a difference on the lands that I hunt. I have a Healthier herd and a better quality of bucks showing up every year!!! Thank you again for making planting food plots so much easier!!!
Clock is ticking!!!! Few more weeks!!🎉
Hey Jeff is this your new food plot that you made back I seen the set up on a previous video. Wow nice looking food plot. I could watch your videos all day so much incredible information and your podcast
What’s the latest you would spray your clover plot? With no rain weeds really took off last few weeks?
great video i like the food plots videos
I have lots to learn about the different plants. Identifying types, maturity, health, correct density and expectations. Mostly visual information. What does a healthy mature stand of switch look like compared to not-so healthy? What does a great brassicas crop look like compared to one that didn’t produce?
Watch all your videos. Love for you to do a video for us in the DEEP southeast. Lower half of LA, MS & AL. I have 92 acres with 2 food plots (1) acre each. I keep 1/3 of each planted in chufa for turkeys. Seems we all plant clover and a mix down here. I tried beans, but deer never let them get up. I put up 2 electric fences that were of little deterrent. Appreciate some footage for your fans down here. Thanks and keep them coming!!!
As I mentioned before, with the cattle it’s hard for me to do much improvement. In the coming years it will change. There is some dozer work happening at the farm. I’ve scouted a little and the neighbors are feeding them. But they are bedding on us already. We’ve for very few does lots of bucks this season. I’m setting up funnels between the bedding and the neighbor plots.
My food plot looks nothing like yours because of such lack of rain by me. I got a good rain after I planted but only a few showers came through the rest of august
Starting to think my only chance at a food plot is winter rye. STILL no rain in our 10 day forecast in my part of SW WI 😮💨
Got a great deal on winter wheat seed this year can I still mix in some brassicas, peas with light wheat in some smaller plots around my clover in southern Ohio was going to just wheat in a bigger plot several hundred yards from there. Thanks for the great info as always!
If your hunting property is 120 acres of steep up and down wooded mountainous hills surrounded by thousands of acres of more of the same and there is no ag and no food plots anywhere but there are wide logging paths. Would it be beneficial to plant clover and kale on portions of the logging paths. My thought is since the deer are walking the paths wouldn't some preferred food cause them to stop and nibble and offer more shot opportunities.
Looks like John comp has been right all along!
Our season starts First Saturday in October! So as long as I am off the property by 15th of September I should be good?
What if your brassicas don’t die over the winter? Mine actually grew back this spring. North NC
Are you adding more fertilizer to your food plots yet or waiting another week?
