Shockingly, this is the 2nd Pokémon video about (anime) theme songs that I found & saw today from my feed. I even checked the dates & was amazed at how 2 of these anime opening videos were uploaded so near apart to each other, the other one highlighting the much lesser-known Japanese OPs, whilst you, & not to make that video sound worse cuz it was gr8 too, had the guts to opinionate & feature the full rankings on all of them, not leaving anything out.
That the most valid response to iku Z, what makes it better is in the Japanese sub when ever greninja would become ash-greninja the instrument starts up and when it get to climax, Rika’s voice comes in to sing. Bro highly recommend watch subbed version is mega sceptile vs ash-greninja. My god I am getting goosebumps rn.
Not a bad list. I don't agree with all of them, case in point; the US Battle Frontier theme song as that was my jam as a kid. However I do appreciate you supporting the Black & White theme song as that is great intro no matter the consensus. This was a fun video and it was nice to learn about the JP theme songs compared to the US songs.
I think the criticism of music sounding slow and then fast in the last 2 gens is just a lack of appreciation for dynamics in rhythm for these songs. I think both songs you mention this being a problem in are actually pretty good, and of course that's my opinion, but I think there's a better way of viewing/critiquing this "problem". Maybe for you personally the switch up in rhythm and drums is not to your liking, but for me, it's honestly the best part of those songs. Specifically for Pokemon Horizons, this section sounds really nice to me because of the twisting synth in the background and the layered vocals. The mix up in drum pattern just adds to it imo. No hate, just tryna defend my babies lmaoo Also, I'm glad you liked the first theme of black and white. That theme is my shit, and I thought I was the only one.
I fell asleep watching this lol but now I'm fully conscious not bad rankings, I'm biased to gen3 so that's probably the only thing id disagree on, black and white is a total vibe with the litllte ding ding ding bit lol
as much as I liked this video, I would have enjoyed it in a different format... ranking each category and then at the end the top 10 of all of the songs. Thank you for the video though.
@@PLATEZERO_ Yeah IDK why I told you about it but I'm trying to say is try to listen to we go the full ver is only in Korea but the English one is only available in Asian countries outside of Japan.
I can't tell I agree with you on all the rankings, but I respect your opinion and even more the fact you went and actually listened all those songs and made 50 minutes video about them. But where I definitely disagree with you is Pokémon World. Sorry, dude. As I said, I respect your opinion, but politely disagree with it. I hate that song. I hate rap, I need to clear that out, but this song is not rap. It's... well... nothing really genre-wise. Look, I don't mind good genre medleys, but this one was not good. The fact they couldn't decide what genre they want to use, so they used multiple just screams out of this song. And that's why it's my second least favourite Pokémon song ever. And definitely my least favourite from 4Kids era of the dub. The least favourite is DP US first intro. That song is... well, the only thing I feel glad about thisd son is, that I actually watched Pokémon in Czech dub back then and therefor has this song in Czech version. Jan Maxián (who also voiced Brock in Czech dub of DP) improved this song immensely. And that's something I don't say very often, since usually, Czech anime and cartoon songs are pretty bad. The only other time this happened to me was in Digimon season 1, where Czech version of the opening was way more bearable to me than the US version. But I digress here, so, back to Pokémon. Even Maxián's performance couldn't save this song for me from its last place on my personal Pokémon sons list. On the other hand, I agree with you on Pokémon Johto. That is my most favourite dub Pokémon song. However, its Japanese counterpart, OK!, is on the top of my Japanese Pokémon songs, so, here, I once again, I politely disagree with your overall raking. For me, Pokémon Johto and OK! are on par and I can't even decide which I like more. Not that it really matters 😁
Great video, but no need to add random political potshots at people you disagree with specially a former president, also nothing is wrong with supporting Israel, everyone no matter your dislike for them or their people group has the right to life and exist.
@@PLATEZERO_ agreed and I like Pokemon, that's why I watched the video, but didn't think the partisan political takes where necessary, many people are turned off by such topics.
Video sadly got blocked so there're gonna be instances where certain segments are cut out completely due to the trim feature on TH-cam.
Pancham and Pikachu may appear to help with the copyright system, please enjoy!
Becoming me is very cute the high notes go ham
It's really fun seeing what visuals were taken from the Japanese theme and what were left behind

Every theme song has its own unique charm there’s no better or worse they all coexist
Hope Nintendo gets this video

Will you continue doing the English and Japanese openings when they come out

Becoming Me is not a sendoff. The first season hasn't even finished yet
@@DigiRangerScott I said that in the context of the video it was the last US track as of making the video so it was the send off.

There's unfortunately not full sun and moon themes bc of the whole au thing they did with the movies

I see that rwby song snuck in there
Pokémon
Ultimate journeys doesn't, gotta catch em all is the theme to aim the be a Pokemon master
Not here to judge, more-so to educate. Japanese OP5 is Disco, not Techno.
Now do the ending themes 🫵

There were no political takes it was one 2 second joke near the end of the video that you're being really weird about.
