One thing I’ve always done with heavier cars when drifting is removing the front sway bar all together. This allows you to throw the front tyres harder into corners before understeer occurs and with the right rear sway bar it feels dam near perfect.
A manual swap will help a lot, I can only imagine. I haven't done my Escalade yet, but doing it to my Silverado with only a 4.8, made a great difference in power delivery. I'm not sure what the gearing is, but under hard acceleration, First breaks free at almost any speed, at 5800rpm, the truck is going 45mph. Btw, I am just using a NV3500, the transmission that would come stock in the Silverados, if you find a manual. Which will be what I putting the same in my Escalade
tahoes really aren’t hard to drift mine aits like an inch higher than factory and im still able to get it completely sideways on paved roads and not flip
Delete the muffler and add a cheap intake to get more air in Dat hoe. Just that should give you some more power, I got a small tuner on mine and it rips for an old truck.
Actually they do drift great suburban does to just need to know how to drive it and modifications your used to is probably why you don't like how it drifts
Matt you ever seen the 1000$ coilover kit for the tahoes?? Lsxmatt did it on his channel and they are amazing n last sooooo long for sure worth the money. If interested what's ur insta n I'll messege ya a link to them
“Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should.”
😂😂
Tune is heavily needed with tahoe/Yukon. Torque management holds back sooo much
I didn’t think about that until another comment mentioned it and you’re totally right
'95 Tahoe 4x4 owner here, it's not slow. Nice to see your build. Respect.
04 Tahoe owner here, coming from a 5.7 GC jeep.. I know my tahoe is slow.

Good to know. I was considering an NV3500 but wasn’t sure how it would hold up
Where are the updates on this build

4:10 when your ground is outside the diff, all the charge goes through the carrier bearings.... they will be chooched for sure. and you will hear em.
It'll buff
@@ImJustAutistic No, it won't. It will sound like cracker jacks.
Definitely following and subbed
For one it needs to be named the side hoe for two Turbo for three handbrake and I would just put limiting straps on the suspension
You deserve more subs….
Thanks I’ll get there one day!!
@Matt 6berries - Sideways Fab 100% earned my sub, always wanted to build a drift tahoe/escalade and this caught my eye.

@@Lilbeezyp4k I just got some new parts recently so I’ll have a new video soon
Interesting and funny
Whats the wining?
Power steering
Watch life on rev limiter you’ll get good suspension tips practically same chassis
If you take off the trailer hitch, how we gonna see you drift with a trailer attached? 🤔😂
Also I kinda wanna tow my Z to the track so I can drift both
hmmmmmmm I have a Chevy Tahoe.. i think y’all know wheer dis is going
I don’t recommend it 😂
Actually they do drift great suburban does to just need to know how to drive it and modifications your used to is probably why you don't like how it drifts
No they just don’t drift great or even good
@6berries I've had 6+ tahoes and the rear suspension 4link for traction is one of the main reasons... 🙌👊
Throw a tune on that 5.3 take out the torque management and she should be ripping!!
I didn’t even think about torque management. You might be right
@@6berries yessirr torque management kills alot on the tahoes and suburbans I wanna see more progress on the drift hoe
How you take out the torque management?
The content is great but the unstable video is really hard to watch.
Understand. I was having camera issues but I’ve fixed it since then.
U need a hydro
Yeah absolutely need a hydro
Swap out the transmission from a manual Silverado V6
