Congratulations and thanks for letting me follow along on the build. I now see a custom small craft in my future. Can you estimate the finished weight less motor and battery? What's next? Good luck in all!!
My kids boat weighs in under 100lbs , with trolling motor and battery... That one is 7' long by 30" wide. My current build will finish around 75 lbs , boat only.... It's my own design, V bottom hull mini boat. It can be powered with a small gas outboard, but my this one will be an I/O using a hopped up go kart engine and custom made drive live.
I would expect his boat to weigh in around 80-100 lbs , no battery or motor. I would venture to say most of our mini boats weigh in less than 150 lbs loaded, minus captain.... Come join our Facebook page Mini Boats and More
Don`t no the weight of the boat. I know it is very heavy even without the batteries. My boat has two marine 12 volt system. Sorry for the very late reply.
At just 6', my flat bottom v-bow plywood boat weighs 35lbs empty without the motor and battery. It is 1/4" ply with a 3/8" transom. Yours is obviously built for comfort. I like the detail that went into yours. Congratulations!
It is nice but it either needs more beam or it needs a shallow v hull for that tipping behavior even making it longer like the nice punt that was in the way at the beginning, good job I can't wait to see how it does with solar panels
If wrap rubber smthg issit stronger? And hard plastic? Like on purpose maybe he ever think of this too? Maybe its abt fun first because peaceful waters. Looking at this will wish for a boat too like just be at near sea, then imagine staircase to sea area to be created.

Thanks B G
I need my boat to handle much weight, how wide is your boat?
very good job i am just wondering about stability issues from bow waves from a larger boat passing ,
Nice work Good wishes from Brampton
Can this be done to an existing old boat Desing

One word. NICE
2 100 w solal panels on the roof will be cool ! :)
Dinner time!
Your roof is too heavy, makes your boat off balance
That looks fun!
That thing looks like it would tip over in the slightest wave 😂
A bit tippy but still interesting
The thumbnail looked huge. Lol 🤣
Lol
The water will swell the plywood in one year. Fiberglass now.
Cool I want one

My 14ft half cab would smash that in a race
