I believe I heard Lamporn speak more in this video that any other video. Nice hotel. Good amenities. The prices are amazing. No way in this world I could pay that amount at any worthy resort hotel here in the States. Congrats on 2 years with Lamporn. I'm sure she would tell you that you are very lucky to have her in your life.

I stayed at this hotel in early August 2015, and sadly got caught by some dodgy ice in my drinks at a nearby bar on the second evening, which sent me to my room, where I vomited for the worst part of three days!!
The hotel was great, I just wish I could have enjoyed five nights there much more!

Another interesting vlog Heath, the cinematography's getting better vlog by vlog. Nice hotel and great value. Id like to know about the best area in Jomtiem to live/visit, Jomtiem v Na Jomtiem to live/visit, further down South towards Bang Sare. maybe a bike trip covering the 26km of beach from Jomtiem Heads all the way down to Bang Sare, that would be cool. Places to visit in Jomtiem. How to get to Bangkok, Hua Hin, Phuket or Koh Samui for double centre holidaymakers. BTW I'm loving the drone footage ! Keep the good work up, its really entertaining.
Thanks, Simon. Lamporn and I did the cycle to Bang Sarray a few times. The problem is you have to cycle on the main road which can be a problem.

Nice vdo about a much overlooked big hotel there on Jomtien beach…as like many guys been past there many times. There’s a few nice hotels with rooftop bars nowadays so more the better….good to see.

I stayed at this hotel in December 21 for almost 20 days. Great value for money, room was large with fantastic view. Hotel is a bit old, breakfast very basic, but it will be my choice again if I return to Pattaya. Watch sunset from rooftop.

This place is stunning.This place is not expensive . At 60 dollars per night I will take it for 28 days. still cheaper than going to the Caribbean. allinclusive.

I stayed in Dvaree 18th floor last month. That's a great view from the balcony, you were only at the 9th floor. You missed the breakfast buffet
Yes, I imagine the 18th floor is good (although I live on the 35th floor in my condo). We have a video coming next week about the Saturday night buffet. 😎

If you want good accommodation and the good service you pay for it that is for sure to stay 4 to 6 weeks make sure you have a good bank account indeed with deep pockets as you will need this for sure in the end all depends what the Tourist wants to pay.
I normally stay at the silver sands villa right on beach road, great lobby, nice staff, 2 great pools, 900 baht a night for a large basic room, which are a bit dated but very clean, worth a look not far past Soi Whitehouse.

I'll be arriving around Jan 10th for a long stay, so I suppose I'll still be dealing with the High Season. Probably find a hotel from the 10th till the 30th, then turn my attention to getting a condo. I think I've talked myself out of staying in the middle of Pattaya with all the night life and ease myself into a slower retirement life instead by staying in Jomtien. Would welcome any hotel reccomendations from Jan 10th till the end of Jan that you find reasonable. My research so far is...

Hi Steve. There quite a few hotels so depends if you want to stay on the beach-front or not. There's Dragon Beach which I know is cheap. There's the Welcome Hotel, Jomtien Grand Palace to name a few. Hard to recommend one as I haven't stayed in any. Good luck. 👍
Would you happen to know if they did renovations recently? I did stay in that hotel a couple of years ago and the rooms were worn and dated. We had to check out after one day because it was meant to be a treat but it didn't feel like a nice escape from your own home. How was the room you stayed at? I'll be in Pattaya again next month and thinking if I should give this another chance.
To be honest, we never stayed overnight. I have heard mixed reviews about the rooms.
I got the superior or deluxe room and still worn and dated. Good breakfast. The gym is really bad. Didn't find the sauna. Friendly staff and nice view. I stayed a few days and switched to Happy Vikings which is also dated but more spacious for the money and I like being closer to the beach. Right now early morning and I can hear the waves.
Great Hotel, but seems to be quiet for High Season in Jomtien?
Ah, it was actually quite busy, but I don't video into crowds as I respect people privacy as much as possible. Not as busy as a normal high season I will admit, but there were more people than I showed in the video. 😎

Hi Darren. I am not sure on that one. That seems a bit high. I know you can get discounts on booking sites but this time of year you shouldn't be paying more than 1400 baht per night for this hotel.

I'm going to buy condos in Grand Solaire and that's 67 floor high and the most luxioures residence with amazing facilities. It wil finished in 2025-2026. If you want you can film my condos
You will find that the best condos in the building will have been sold during the early days of construction. Best to buy now. 😎

Stayed a 5 days at this hotel in december. Happy i didnt stay longer. Hotel old and dirty, rooms old and worn down. For this price you have alot better option. Granted view is super nice. Balcony are loaded with bird poo and the cleaning is poor at the hotel. Brekkie isnt caterd towards westerens. Gym super dirty. lacation is also bad on beach road. For me soi 13 is too far down, all the hussle and bussle makes u always walk up to soi 7, night market and towards the main erea of jomtien. Roof top bar/restaurant is good for a few sunset drinks but dont waste money on the overpriced food there. Staff is super nice though. Im sure this hotel was spot on in its prime, but that some years ago

In my 40 years Thailand , I never would book on the beach a hotel with more then 3 floors !

@From One End of Thailand 🇹🇭 Hello ! May be , but for beach hollidays , if I would have for example a room in 30. floor , the way to the beach is to long for me ! I also like small private hotels , leading by thai families ! You have more the feeling , you are at home !!! And annother reason is ,that about 25 years before , I hae seen just in the same area of jomtien such a big hotel in fire with many people who died in it. I can remember , that some things were at this time in the hotel not correct !
@kanoi 009 Fair comment. I believe you are referring to the fire at the Royal Jomtien Resort Hotel (now called Jomtien Palm Beach Hotel) in 1997. This was a tragic accident when an engineer attempted to repair a damaged gas valve. I had never heard of Jomtien or even Pattaya in 1997 so this was before I came here.

Stars are nothing to do with quality. The star system is related to availability of services and amenities, such as 24 hour check in, room service etc etc. Most people think the stars are for quality but they are not.

D Varee is pretty far away from frist class....I was there June 2023 for 2 weeks. And this is by far my worst 2 weeks in any hotel ever. My room was not very well clean to start with. Bathroom was a disaster. Dirty and well used, Paint on the floor when they try to cover up how old the place is. Tv was very analog and bad signal. Wifi was up and down and very unstable. Breakfast was very medium and there was not so much love or effort to make it nice for the guest. AC compressor in my room was so loud, and I told them about it 3 times and after this they offer me an other room. Ok...fine..new room and the door won't lock....45 min they guy was there try to fix it. And finally, and then later when they called me up and say, Mr your room is ready. what happens...well the AC compressor was just as loud as the first one. So they give me an other room again...ok. This time it was a bit better. And the restaurant up on the top floor was amazing views, food not so much...and the very loud music did not help. It was maybe 10 people there. So who do you play for? The staff was polite and i thank they did there best. But i will not come back to this hotel ever again. I wrote an email when i got back home and no one answered me. But if you like Jomtien and this area with this view and beach this is the place to be. Anyways. Thanks for this video. Take care.

I found it tired& run down, also full of tiddly winks, not good, ok 4 a day visit/ 5:30pm 4 d sky bar is ok.
I did wonder if it was catering for them. Saw 2 tour buses going in there when I was walking around when we were there on holiday.
