Quaker (Monk) parrots have green plumage with gray and yellow accents. I see them a lot in the yard. Nanday conures have very green feathers, with a black plumage in their face. They have amazing personalities. They are often seen eating together at the bird feeder, and both originated from South America.
I have started to see a lot more of the Quaker birds than any other parrots or parakeets here in St. Pete, FL. I don't know if this is temporary, but I will keep observing.

Delightful!!! thanks xoxo 💚💙
You are so welcome! 💕
The Quaker monks are the ones with black hoods.....do they look like specialized combat commandos or could it also be that they have escaped from a fire or does the name come from the monks of the inquisition? I was surprised to see them...!!! ,,,_dº¿ºb_,,,
Funny 😂. Maybe you're referring to the Nanday Parakeets with dark plumage on their face🦜. The name Monk was given to Quaker Parrots because of the color going up their back that looks like the hood of a monk.
