Another great video guys just a tip if you aren't back in the water yet, pull the prop back off and liberally coat the shaft and key in marine grease or neverseez,it will make getting it off later a lot easier
Hi guys, I have to hand it to you Cory. Doing the complete bottom job is huge. I know that your boat will last a heck of a lot longer now with a new bottom coat. A good and reliable battery system on a long term sailboat is a great thing to have because now you don't have be as power nervous as maybe with your old system. Did you notice that your boat backed better with the new prop? I installed the same prop on an old boat of mine and it helped with the prop walk. Love the vids guys. Good luck with what coming up in your lives. I'm happy for you. Trev Campbell River BC
I was glad to have finished it. And aside from another coat or 2 it looked pretty good after a season. The batteries were amazing this past season. Never did we need to worry about power. Even with the fridge running and both computers editing away everything worked like a charm. As for the prop. We sure did notice a difference in speed but I'm not sure how much it effected backing up tbh. Thanks Trev
Learning video interesting. Need to do these things I think to prepare to get boat in water so you can do what you both love sailing.Enjoyed the video can't wait for next week❤😍
@@WildlyIntrepid At least on the boats that are being shown here on TH-cam seems like a huge percentage either have it backwards or 2 big nuts, haha that kind of weird to write, but anyway using 2 of the same kind and size. Next time I am walking around in a boat yard I'll have to keep an eye out on all the different boats and see. Anyway maybe it isn't really that big of deal since obviously many that have done it didn't have problems between pull outs. I guess a Marine Engineering expert needs to weigh in, is it a real practical consideration or just one of those traditional things the people have always been doing because well it just the way it has always been done.
It will be good to see you two back on your boat with the new crew member. It's also great to see your videos starting to catch up to present time. 👍
We can't wait to be back too. And we're trying to catch up as much as possible before we return to the boat.

That's a good idea and would have been good to do. Ah well next time we pull it off we'll do it. Thanks for the tip.

There's always a few things to do to prep the sailboat for going back in the water. A never ending list. Glad you liked it.
Reversed order of those nuts on the propeller seems to be very common mistake.
Good catch on your part.
Didn't realize it was that common.

Wow, I'm an internet star!!! I know not really. Mindy passed threw last night, it wasn't much at all.
Hahaha yes you are Scott. Good to hear that Mindy wasn't much at all. Seems like it's not too bad of a season there this year.
👍!!!
