    Thank you for this, you gave some great advice and lots of inspiration. I'm not very creative (I really wish I was), but it's nice to know it is possible to make the city look good, while breaking away from the grid. I definitely have to keep trying. I'm thinking I might need to draw out a plan on paper for me to use as a guide to make it easier. I have a hard time picturing what I want long term at the start of a city.

    Genuinely beautiful city.
    Fences can be overdone. Consider using hedges, flower beds and rows of cypress trees instead for variety. I see at 1:55 that you did use hedges too.
    Flowering trees are great, but flowering bushes and plants are also nice. Making patterns with them as you did gives an extra special touch. Too many Cities Skylines players just plunk down random trees and rocks and call it a day. Grass is beautiful too (see 4:37). I see too many players cover all the grass with trees. Small groups of trees in a field of grass can be nicer than a dense forest.
    Your highways look especially beautiful. Most Cities Skylines players let their ramps curve the wrong way so that they have sharp elbows. Your ramps are gorgeous.

    • @RickyKingPlays
      @RickyKingPlays  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can see you're into details as well. Yeah, I took some time to find appropriate design for an area, whether its rural or urban area.
      I always connect segments for the ramp at 180 degrees. I also make sure its a smooth slope and the radius is as constant as possible.
      Thanks a lot for the comment.

    Hey bro awesome vid. Also, i just watched the video about service roads and main roads and i got this question: How do i connect the right side with the left side if the main road is in the middle without trolling the traffic flow?

    • @RickyKingPlays
      @RickyKingPlays  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, bro. If you're referring to two opposite districts in each side of the main road, then a flyover or a tunnel will do. Just male sure that vehicles from the main road going to the left district will not use it as a shortcut. Make use of one way road.

    Is there a way to create water features, i.e a small lake without having to use a regular water pump? It's so ugly, even if you sink it to the bottom of your water you still have to constantly turn it on and off to stop flooding and droughting. Any way around that?

    • @RickyKingPlays

      @RickyKingPlays  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No worries. Eiffel Tower is one of the most difficult to unlock. All my cities have +90% traffic. I'm not bragging (hope doesn't sound like one) but what I'm saying is traffic can be managed even without mods.
      150k pop is already an achievement, hope I can see where's the problem with the traffic.
