I’ve managed to keep them alive but they’ve slowed down and aren’t really ripening anymore. What did you end up doing with yours?

The stalk turned black after cutting and the fruits are all shriveled

Yes! Won’t be a problem at all. They don’t even need any leaves and they’ll still grow!
